1. Artboards & Content are displaced after saving and opening a file

   After saving & opening a file with multiple art boards, many of the artboards and/or their content is shifted around the canvas. I already tried all kinds things, even creating a new file and copying everything over. The bug happens again and again – and it's unpredictable, sometimes it's just one element, sometimes it's half of all the content.

   Working with Version 29.8.1, the file is in large format mode, Mac OS 25 (latest). Not saving on a cloud synced folder.

   When saving the same file into Adobe Cloud, the bug doesn't seem to occur... at least for the last few times I tried. But actually I don't want to save them there.

   Also, when saving onto hard drive, sometimes a dialog appears that the file was changed outside of Illustrator (which is not true).

   See attached file (blurred): the grey boxes on top come from the artboard on the bottom and the red ones from the artboards below.

2. プリセットのB6サイズについて

   IllustratorのプリセットのB6サイズは125 mm×176 mmですが、日本の規格はB6サイズ182mm×128mmです。
   他の投稿より引用ですが、プリセットは、B4とB5はJISで、他のB系は国際規格になっているので、統一してほしいです。

   Should be fixed in the latest Beta build 30.4.42 — please update and check if it’s truly fixed, and comment back if it’s still a jumble or you find other inconsistencies.

3. Placing Illustrator file in InDesign

   Placing files with bleeds create in Illustrator 30.1 and 29.8.4 moves the artwork down-left without respecting the bleeds.
   Illustrator 29.5 works correctly.

   The problem got resolved by resaving the original file. If this ever happens with new files again — please comment.

4. Hitting Down with an artboard selected in Artboards panel now moves it on canvas instead of in the list

   In the newest update, if I have an artboard highlighted in the panel and I hit the down arrow, it used to go down the artboard list. But now it nudges the actual artboard.
   I acknowledge that nudging artboards could maybe be useful for something (though I can't think of what) but being able to navigate the list with arrows is much more valuable in my opinion.

   To navigate artboards in the the panel, without zooming into them, hold Opt/Alt with arrows keys (up/down work the same way as left/right).

5. Renaming an artboard in Artboards panel scrolls to have the item on top

   The way it works in the newest update is infuriating.
   In the newest update, when I change the name of an artboard in the Artboards panel, the panel automatically scrolls to have that item at the top. I keep losing my place in the Artboards panel and I can't keep track of what I'm doing. I don't see a benefit of the list jumping around all the time. It's horrific to work with.

6. Arrow keys, Home & End keys don’t work when renaming Artboard names on canvas

   We now can rename artboards directly on canvas, by double-clicking a name, if 'Artboard names on canvas' is enabled in Preferences > Selection & Anchor Display.
   However, navigating this input with arrows, Home, End, etc., is not possible. Please make it work.

8. unchecking "use document bleed settings" box in "Save Adobe PDF" does not remove the bleed from the saved file.

   version illustrator 30.1
   windows 11
   issue also replicated on illustrator 30.0 on a mac
   1: create new document with some amount of bleed in "document setup"
   2: save as .pdf will bring up "Save Adobe PDF" Dialog
   3: uncheck "use document bleed settings" box and save the .pdf
   4: open document saved in step 3, it still has the document bleeds that should have been removed by unchecking the "use document bleed settings" box

   the print dialog box also has the use document bleed settings check box, it works correctly when I print to a .pdf file with the "use document bleed settings" box unchecked

9. Order of duplicated artboards is reversed

   A big issue is that if you select several artboards at once to duplicate them and they were in order
   A
   B
   C
   they used to duplicate as
   copy of A
   copy of B
   copy of C

   Since the latest Illustrator update they mirror instead, as
   copy of C
   copy of B
   copy of A

   Makes batch duplication worthless and I now have to duplicate each one separately OR do the set and then move them around manually.

10. New Artboard Paste in Front Fails and Select Artboard Fails in Artboards panel

    Illustrator 29.6.1 - Mac
    When starting with more than one artboard.
    If you select all objects on an artboard. Copy.
    Then make a new identical artboard in another position to the artboard you copied artwork from, you cannot select the new artboard and paste in front.
    I suspect it is a bug how illustrator keeps track of how many artboards it has because the name is always artboard [number] and the new artboard number in the name is always incorrectly one higher than the actual number.
    You can no longer select an artboard in the Artboards panel and select objects you create on the new artboard using Select All on active artboard.
    This creates a problem in Extendscript or AppleScript because you can no longer set the active artboard correctly and have it display properly even with redraw. This bug does not occur in 29.5

11. Fehler: Zeichenfläche verdoppelt beim Anpassen an Grafik

    Windows 11 Pro, AI.30.2.1.. ich markiere meinen Pfad und öffne "Zeichenflächen". Ich wähle "An ausgewählte Grafik anpassen". Bestätige. Nun sollte Zeichenfläche 1 eine neue Größe haben.
    Währenddessen wird die Zeichenfläche verdoppelt und eine Zeichenfläche 2 erzeugt.
    Der Fehler tritt nicht auf, wenn man sehr lange wartet zwischen den Arbeitsschritten. Also ca. das Fenster 1 Minute geöffnet lässt.

    Das Problem besteht seit ein paar Tagen. Eigentlich sollte die Zeichenfläche nur angepasst werden, nicht verdoppelt.

12. Unable to open old ai or pdf files

    Mac OS Tahoe, Ai version 30.1. <-- just updated 12/22/25
    I cannot open complete, editable Ai or PDF files created in older previous Ai versions. A message appears that Illustrator could only partially read the file. If I continue it creates a file that cannot be edited. Opening and editing files is CRITICAL to our print shop business.

14. Thumbnails & Quicklook preview has incorrectly positioned pictures.

    29.8.1 thumbnails und Apple Quicklook show previews with incorrectly positioned pictures. This was a bug present in earlier versions, but in the actual documents.
    After fixing it inside of Ai, the bug is now in thumbnails & Quicklook.

15. Hitting Tab key after changing artboard name in Artboard palette

    If I rename an artboard in the Artboards palette and press tab (e.g. to rename the next artboard), the new name only changes in the Artboards palette.

    The artboard name visible on the canvas, and the one used when exporting files, is still the old name.

    If I press the Return key after making a name change in Artboards palette it works as expected.

    Would like to be able to Tab through the list and make changes.

16. Duplicating Artboard will unlock and show locked and hidden elements.

    When using the Artboard Tool and clicking on a + sign next to an artboard while holding the Alt/Option key to duplicate an artboard with its contents, Illustrator will Show and Unlock all hidden and locked objects/layers.
    It does this only the first time, when using Undo and trying again it works correct.

17. Artboard spacing value looses precision

    I use classic New Document dialog (it’s fast and reliable, unlike the modern one).
    Within it, I can set a value that later would be used to space new artboards when adding ones, or to rearrange them.
    If I only have one artboard (and I usually create one only, even when a project later gets more), I can’t set this value immediately, and the value gets transferred from the previous one I set there...

    ...not really. Here, I have to make it 2 artboards to have the field active (why? — I made another request to have it active — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/51116134 — and one more before it, to have this value editable without workarounds — https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/43218936). Then, I make it 20 mm (and make it 1 artboard again)
    After I create a document, I immediately create a new one — and it gets '19.999 mm' again.

    I know some people in USA are used to have prices like $599. Screw it. I don’t need this applied to spacing. Yeah, sure it’s the math error. Make sure the value is kept as set.

    It just crashed.

19. 定規の設定を0にすると次回開いた時にズレる / If you set the ruler to 0, it will be misaligned the next time you open it

    最新リリースバージョン「ver.26.2.1」にて、定規の0基準の設定されていないファイルを開いて、その中で0基準を設定後、保存してファイルを閉じた後、そのファイルを開くとデータの一部がズレた状態（トンボなどとそれ以外のいくつかのオブジェクトだけ勝手に動いた状態になってしまいます。
    途中の段階で別名保存したPDFは問題なく開けます。
    入稿データ等の場合かなりマズい状態です。
