When moving/rotating/scaling Raster images should always honor the layer order and transparency values.
With "show images in outline mode" selected, I often drop in low res raster images on the bottom layer and outline them with the pen tool in higher level layers.. problem is the way illustrator handles raster images. If i draw a line on top of a raster image, then attempt to scale that raster image, my line is temporarily hidden while scaling, moving or rotating the raster image, making it nearly impossible to re-align my raster image to match newly drawn vector lines. Cannot update links from links panel
Cannot update links by clicking "update" icon in links panel or by going to panel menu > Update Links. They do nothing. I have to wait until AI shows the "Some links need updating..." alert and then confirm to update or I have to close/open the file.
What the heck happened in the latest update(s)? Feels like all of the panels are super busted.

Broken Link / Gaussian Blur dialogs displayed together make Illustrator UI disabled
I’ve been experiencing this Illustrator bug for years, and it has consistently behaved the same way.
It only happens when I already have one or more Illustrator documents open and then open another file with a broken/missing linked image. If a Gaussian Blur progress window appears in front of the missing-link warning, Illustrator becomes stuck afterward: the dialogs disappear, but the canvas can no longer be interacted with and nearly all menu commands are grayed out. I can still save using cmd+s, and switch between documents, but can’t interact with anything on the canvas. Can click the toolbar too, but…

TIFF画像が反転した色で配置される / TIFF image get placed with inverted colors

Illustrator: 29.7.1(64-bit)画像(TIF)を読み込んだ際に、白黒が反転してしまう。

Auto-update of linked images broken in Illustrator 2025 (works in 2024)
have encountered an issue with Illustrator 2025(~29.7.1) on macOS 15.6.1.
When I edit and save a linked PSD file in Photoshop, Illustrator 2025 does not auto-update the linked image immediately when switching back from Photoshop.
• In Illustrator 2024, this works perfectly: saving in Photoshop → switching to Illustrator → the link updates instantly.
• In Illustrator 2025, the update does not happen unless I first switch to another app or Finder, then return to Illustrator.
• I confirmed this behavior on multiple Macs, both before and after updating macOS.
• Preferences “Update Links Automatically” and “Check Links Before Opening…3 votes -
Can't select linked png/bmp files when they have transparent backgrounds.
Placing several linked BMP or PNG files with transparent backgrounds causes them to become randomly unselectable by clicking on them. You have to go to outline mode, find and select the edge of the image, or select with marquee tool and then carefully unselect the extra objects. Either way, it cannot be moved except to click on the edge of the images frame. This has been an issue for years. I think I may have even posted about it before, but can't find that now. IMO this is an issue that should be escalated as it such a basic operation…

Placing PDF comes up with an Unknown error
There is a bug with Illustrator when placing certain PDF's I get "An unknown error is detected...." I have been getting this error since Adobe Illustrator 2023.
Files will work if it's opened in Rosetta but not with the regular version. Now with 2025 the option to open in rosetta is gone.Using Mac OS

16gb Ram
Sonoma 14.5Do not have any issues with this on the Intel macs.

duplicates all the placed images
Every time I open a document with images I get an alert about images not found, without having moved them since I saved the document and when I locate them again, when the document is opened all the duplicate images appear, and it places them in the center of the document . I attach a screenshot of how duplicate images appear to me

Illustrator (still) cannot read TIF files.
When can we remedy this? I cannot open or place a TIF file in Illustrator 27.6.1. The error message is the file is an unknown format and can't be opened.
There are reports on this page still open from 2021. When will this be fixed?
I have several TIFs from a museum to lay out for printing and I'm having to individually bring them all in to photoshop and export them as a different format.

EPS color bug
Adobe illustrator keeps changing the colors of .eps images that I link. Both profiles are set to RGB so that should not be a problem.

rotating and croping causing jagged banding
Rotating and croping an image leads to an odd banding pattern appearing through the image. This does not occur when clipping using a clipping mask or when only cropped or only rotated.

Image trace bugged + presets
Presets are not working as before, constant error when turning on the preview mode.

Relink via Asset Link Missing Icon
The Relink via Asset Link icon is missing in Adobe Illustrator, preventing users from linking images/templates they have designed to AEM Assets.

Relink no longer works in most recent Illustrator
When I update links outside Illustrator, Illustrator no longer shows the links with the recycle icon. The relink button in the links panel is greyed out. The only way is to manually relink the files rather than the nice refresh there used to be! This is very time consuming!

When relinking a file, the last accessed folder gets opened and not the one that had the link
We need and option to open the folder containing a linked file when a link is missing or we choose "Relink file", instead of open last folder.

Linked PDFs resizing when pasted
If you open a multi page PDF in Illustrator and then copy and paste it either into the same document or a different one, it changes from cropping to the bounding box to whatever was specified last in the File/Place options dialogue box and scales up or down to fit the same space.
If I place a file (any file) and specify cropping to Bounding Box, and then open the same multi page PDF as before, the problem does not occur. It appears that by opening a multi page PDF it crops to bounding box but by copying and pasting…
