An error occurred while saving the comment Two more related requests/reports;
1. Add 'Relink image' in the right click (contextual) menu — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/39529621
2. Same keyboard shortcut (Alt + C) for two different options in the Place dialog box — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/42812369

2. Add 'Relink image' in the right click (contextual) menu — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/39529621An error occurred while saving the comment Yes, Illustrator does not allow to directly assign a hotkey for the Relink operation.
The intended way is to assign a hotkey to File > Place command, but there is no way to automatically enable the Replace option in the Place dialog. There is no way to quickly toggle it from the keyboard with Alt+C, since it got assigned to Open Cloud Document now (yes, two command to one key, which is most probably an oversight).Another solution would be to use a script:
https://github.com/dumbm1/ai_scripts/blob/master/jsx/fast_relink.jsx
Originally designed to quickly replace all selected images with one file, it can be also used on a single selected image.
Once the script is placed into a dedicated Scripts folder i Illustrator folder (and relaunched), you can create an action, record using this script from the File > Scripts, and then assign a hotkey to the script. Please try it and reply back.

An error occurred while saving the comment Jim, do you still have this problem?
Does it happen when you try to switch to Illustrator Defaults hotkey set?
Can you share the screenshot of your hotkeys assigned in the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog? -

An error occurred while saving the comment @IChen, not sure if I get you. Both formats are raster and don’t have layers.
I bet you meant the layers get messed up after you complete export? Does it happen with Export As or Asset Export or both?
Does it happen with every file you try? Can you share some images and/or test files to elaborate? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Does the Scale dropdown open at least?
What do you expect to get when you click Save? Currently this dialog saves the changes for all NEW dimensions, but does not CHANGE the selected ones. -

Hi Everyone,
This functionality is available in our latest release build – 29.0.1 .
Now you can scale you artwork with artboards using Artboard tool , Artboard Dimensions and Preset.
What's New in the release - https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/using/whats-new.html
Thank you for all the feedback.
An error occurred while saving the comment It’s good to have it, but I really wish for this to respect Scale Strokes & Effects option. For now Scale Artwork with Artboard behaves as if it’s always enabled... I realize scaling strokes is natural for this mode, but the current way means if we need to scale an artboard, but NOT scale the strokes — we can’t do that.
It almost feels like it should be a separate option specifically for it.An error occurred while saving the comment Ton, for me this option was enabled by default.
Here is a fresh report when a user just didn’t realize what happened and how to fix it: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/939477/suggestions/48781703
I bet this is going to be a common problem. An error occurred while saving the comment Regarding the comments below — after using it several times, having an artboard suddenly scaled with the artwork feels bad.
We are so used it can’t do that, and the pressed button is so small...
I still occasionally discover Move/Copy Artwork with Artboard gets selected on its own, and I still miss to check it from time to time!
So yeah, an idea to reinforce both these modes somehow indeed makes sense. An error occurred while saving the comment Steve, why would you need to distinguish these modes more? Trying to resize one would inform you clearly enough, wouldn’t it?
As I see it, just a color of the perimeter won’t be any more informative than a pressed button in Control. An error occurred while saving the comment Bardia, it has some problems with consistency across different selections and proportions. The team had to revoke it to reiterate on the feature. It is yet unknown when it returns. If anything pops up — I will update the thread.
An error occurred while saving the comment If you have a problem with the art being forcefully resized with their scaled artboard, although no button so far is given to control it, resetting preferences helps reset the internal switch to the way it supposed to behave for now — no scaling.
This feature will return later, needs more polishing. An error occurred while saving the comment Glendon, the ratio will be constrained if you hold Shift while dragging the artboard’s corner marker ...or hitting Ctrl+Enter while entering a value to width or height (oh, wait, it does not work: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/45420100)
If you want to scale an artboard NON-uniformly, but have objects scaled UNIFORMLY — well. How do you expect Ai to treat distances between objects then? To nail them to the artboard/s by the chosen reference point? And if the objects is not groupped? This will spread its part across the distance, right?
It's like this scene from The Expanse — https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEAvhNZmego
I doubt you want that. -

You probably refer to this thread at forums: https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/adobe-illustrator-warnings-go-away/m-p/15010235
Another related thread would be this one: https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/error-message/td-p/10310986
And another one: https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/quot-your-current-color-settings-discard-cmyk-profiles-in-linked-content-quot-error-message/td-p/1238497
And here are many more like this, actually.
Monika is correct.
I get the frustration you are experiencing, but you brought it onto yourself, picking options to convert colors into your working space, disregarding intentions of the original creators, and Ai tries to at least warn you, 'you are putting your fingers into a meat grinder'. The fact 'no children die' shows exactly how low the level of the printing industry dropped :)
Do you know a joke?
A driver listens to a radio and hears this: 'Drivers, be careful, a singular mad car is driving the opposite lane at 200 mph!'
He replies: 'A singular?! The whole lane is full of these!'
But again — this is my personal opinion ...and it won’t solve the experience (and you don’t want to stop converting colors, instead of preserving numbers, as suggested). I am merging your request into the existing one. It makes it 3 votes at the moment.
