I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 27.1.1 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

This behavior is most probably cause by Paste Remembers Layers option, accessible in the Layers panel’s flyout menu.
When it’s enabled, Illustrator tries to paste copied objects into their original layers.
If the option it disabled, but it still does not work as you want it to, please reply back.

This issues is fixed in the Prerelease build 27.0.1.620. You can test the fix if you are a member of the Prerelease program (https://adobeprerelease.com)

An error occurred while saving the comment Recently Illustrator finally allowed to stop Pencil from auto-joining with the dedicated 'Close paths when ends are within a set tolerance' option in Pencil Tool Options (https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/931888/suggestions/41727652)
However, sometimes this behaviour is welcome, and the decision to use it can be made on the go, while drawing. It’s not efficient to go to settings each time and toggle it.
I propose to utilize Cmd/Ctrl modifier key (while the mouse button is held / pen is pressed) to temporarily toggle the chosen behaviour — force join if it’s off, or forbid join if it’s on.

There are two possible workarounds left — to upgrade or to downgrade.

An error occurred while saving the comment So you want Ai to not draw a bounding box for a while after an arrow key is pressed? This lag will irritate a lot of users. There is no way for the system to distinguish a single press from a continuous one, because the time is the only difference, so Ai would have to visually 'lag' — and this is how everybody will feel about it, really.
There is a workaround, to disable the bounding box before you start eyeballing.

An error occurred while saving the comment Although this is a good idea in its core, it also can cause a lot more confusion. Layer Color is used to highlight selected object (and it’s the only option to see if a normal guide is selected).
However, if guides adapt their layers’ colors, they will look as if they are always selected.
Needs thinking. -

Illustrator team is working on a fix for this issue. Meanwhile you can use the below workaround to paste the table as it was before.
Before you copy the table in InDesign, create a path object along with table and then copy from InDesign and Paste in Illustrator. This forces the PDF route for copy/paste between ID and AI

Which file you can’t access? Is it local or a cloud one?
What is the exact message you get? Can you provide a screenshot?
Do you have problems with saving it or opening it or both?
Which version is that?
Did it behave like this in the previous version?
Have you tried to reset preferences? (here is a nice instruction on why and how to do this: https://astutegraphics.com/support/tutorials-and-troubleshooting/resetting-illustrator-preferences)
