Hi everyone! Thank you for your feedback so far.
As we make progress, we wanted to hear your thoughts regarding the intended functionality of this solution. We are sharing two scenarios forproposed behavior of this functionality, please review these and let us know your feedback:
Scenario #1: The area calculation will only consider the path geometry of an object and not include the stroke weight as part of the computed area. To calculate the area of the stroke, the object can be Expanded so that a separate compound path is created for the stroke.
Scenario #2: Appearance-altering effects (e.g., Drop Shadows, Gaussian Blurs) that do not modify the underlying path geometry will not influence the area calculation. We will continue to calculate the area of the actual closed path.
We have also attached a visual reference for these scenarios to this post. Please let us know your thoughts!

Adobe Illustrator's Multithreading Journey Begins!
Dear Illustrator Community,
I'm thrilled to announce that we've embarked on an exciting journey to bring multithreading capabilities to Adobe Illustrator. This significant undertaking will enhance performance and responsiveness across various aspects of the application.
While this is a complex process that will take some time to fully implement, I wanted to share our progress so far.
Our Approach
We've strategically begun by focusing on the most computationally intensive operations—those that typically take more time and block the main thread, resulting in slower response times while you work. By moving these operations to separate threads, we aim to significantly improve your overall experience with Illustrator.
It's important to note that you may see more noticeable impact in some areas than others initially. However, we want to assure you that this is just the beginning, and we will continue this journey to bring improvements across…

An error occurred while saving the comment Sergey supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Sergey commentedIt seems that the strokeDashOffset parameter is not even saved in the ai source file, because when you reopen it, strokeDashOffset value is again zero.
So it's not just a fragile property. It is a ghost property: you can look at it, but not use it, because it disappears when you try to capture it.

The team again asks for help with this issue, since there are not specific steps they can try to reproduce it — the nature of the bug is random.
If you are a Windows user, the next time you spot a missing or a duplicated number in Artboards panel, please follow these instructions below.
1. Open Task Manager
2. In Details tab, locate 'Illustrator.exe'
3. Right click it and choose 'Create dump file'
4. Wait until the dumping process is complete and click 'Open file location' button
5. Find 'Illustrator.dmp' (sorting files by date helps) and compress it with any archiving utility
6. Upload the archive to a file hosting service of your choice and sent the link for download to sharewithai@adobe.com. Please use the subject 'Artboards numbering bug dump'
This will help provide necessary clues to locate the source of the problem. If you are a Mac user —…

We could not reproduce this issue after several attempts. Please get in touch with us at sharewithai@adobe.com or any of the other support channels – https://helpx.adobe.com/support.html .
Since this is not a generic issue that we can reproduce at our end, we will need someone to look into your machine to figure out what is going on here.Warm Regards,
Ankit Goyal

It turned out that the bug of not saving strokeDashOffset value also affects only negative values of this parameter.
