We were able to ship support for Art and Calligraphic Brushes in our 2.0 release. But there is more to be done for Import / Export of (atleast) these Brush types. We’re keeping this thread open for your feedback. Thank you!

Appreciate all of the great being done with brushes on iPad. Am hoping that pattern brushes can soon be included in an upcoming release. :)

I don’t know why more importance hasn’t been given to this request. It’s important to be able to save patterns and gradient fills to Libraries, in addition to saving to your local computer. We need this.

Just a general status update. We are currently and will continuously improve SVG import support in Adobe Illustrator. We are currently working on solving the issues mentioned in this report. Please feel free to open new bug reports here on uservoice if you are experiencing additional/untracked issues.

I think this is pretty essential for most designers and since it’s thought that 3D and materials is being brought into Illustrator (still not sure about the performance of all that) looks forward to being able to put materials onto fill, strokes, etc.

We have passed this request along to Grammarly and that while Grammarly thought it would be useful, they’re unable to prioritize it at this time.

Agree, this is very important. Designers must be able to shift constrain a point or points to drag them at straight/perpendicular angles. Point(s) either do no move at all, or are not constrained - this has stopped working.

Would like to see functionality as in iPad Illustrator where objects show alignment to top/middle/bottom/left/right/center of other objects. - Mark

It’s dangerous to call things Smart... When they behave dumb, the name sound like an insult. Sadly, this is the case.
Please provide more specific cases, with video proofs, ask you colleagues to share and vote, to move this further. This is the way to force changes to things that are broken — be vocal and persistent. Thank you all and let’s hope we get heard.

what I miss seeing in Smart Guides is still not being reflected in the current version. I don't think I'm imagining that at one time using Smart Guides Illustrator would give you prompts when you were aligning to top/bottom/middle/left/right edge of a shape - that's the feature I miss most.

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 25.4.1 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.
You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!

This does resolve the issue with Mac trackpad -however it would be great if there could be a UI lock/unlock icon, without having to go into preferences.

Know you're working on it, this is a must - to disable Illustrator from rotating canvas when user prefers not to use it.

There's a confusion on my system as well recognizing pinch or zoom with an Apple trackpad, OS Big Sur.

We have released a new version today - 3.0.1
There is an ability added in the settings within the application to turn off canvas rotation. You can toggle the setting to turn on and off the rotation.

Is there support for adding editable appearances on iPad?
