WildWilly shared this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment WildWilly commentedI wrote previously that SVG images were missing arrowheads. I have now discovered that AI 22.0.2 is still missing entire curves. These curves also have arrowheads, although I am not sure if that is the reason why they are not showing up in the SVG image.

Adobe. Make It an Experience. An error occurred while saving the comment WildWilly commentedThe workaround does not work. When do you expect this problem to be fixed?
An error occurred while saving the comment WildWilly commentedI like the subfolders, but that is not the problem. Whether the artboards are exported to the subfolders or to the original folders, the SVG image either is not exported or it lacks certain components.
An error occurred while saving the comment WildWilly commentedI have followed your directions, but it still doesn't work. The SVG image is lacking details that are in the original and PNG, or it does not export at all. When it does export, the SVG image lacks some components that are present in the original image and that also exported correctly as the PNG image.
For instance, in one AI file, the PNG image shows correctly. The SVG file is lacking a curve, and the shading for it. What I did with the curve is to draw it, and then copy it by pressing Control + F, so that I can reduce the opacity on the area but not on the stroke. BTW, it would be nice if the opacity can be set separately for the stroke and for the fill.
Because the SVG export is not working properly, I have reverted to the previous edition. I do like some of the new features that you have, including remembering which artboards I was exporting. Another nice feature would be to export only those artboards that have artwork on them and to set the folder being used for each export for each file, so that I can export to the same folder used previously for that file, rather than the last folder that I used for the program. This would greatly increase my productivity.
I would like to point out that Microsoft has recently updated Windows 10 to the Fall Creator Update. I am sure that that is not the problem, since I'd had this problem before the update, and the previous version works correctly under the new edition of Windows 10, but I thought I would point that out to you, as it may affect other bugs that are being reported.

Please get in touch with us at any of the other support channels – https://helpx.adobe.com/support.html . Since this is not a generic issue that we can reproduce at our end, we will need someone to look into your machine to figure out what is going on here.

Just a general status update. We are currently and will continuously improve SVG import support in Adobe Illustrator. We are currently working on solving the issues mentioned in this report. Please feel free to open new bug reports here on uservoice if you are experiencing additional/untracked issues.

Please share your thoughts on the following:
1. Would it make sense to have a separate desktop app, just to create charts, and bring them inside Illustrator or InDesign? It may not be on cloud.
2. Or would you rather have us work on building it within Illustrator?
Thanks

Hi Everyone, This feature has been available since August 2020 release (version 24.3). Please update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html Thank you for all the feedback.
You can now select multiple layers in Layers panel. Click the bars (they get highlighted blue) if you want to operate layers and not their content (e.g. to drag to reorder) or click their markers to select their content — circle (target ones) or square (selection ones) next to them. There is no real difference which to pick, but if you want to select a range of layers, using Shift, use target markers.

Adobe Illustrator's Multithreading Journey Begins!
Dear Illustrator Community,
I'm thrilled to announce that we've embarked on an exciting journey to bring multithreading capabilities to Adobe Illustrator. This significant undertaking will enhance performance and responsiveness across various aspects of the application.
While this is a complex process that will take some time to fully implement, I wanted to share our progress so far.
Our Approach
We've strategically begun by focusing on the most computationally intensive operations—those that typically take more time and block the main thread, resulting in slower response times while you work. By moving these operations to separate threads, we aim to significantly improve your overall experience with Illustrator.
It's important to note that you may see more noticeable impact in some areas than others initially. However, we want to assure you that this is just the beginning, and we will continue this journey to bring improvements across…

I tried to reply to your email message, but it was an unmonitored email box. How do I upload the example file here? I put my reply in this post, but the images will not show nor do I know how to attach a file to this post.
Here is the screenshot of the SVG export:

Here is a copy of the same image as PNG:

You can see that 3 of the green bars are missing.
I have AI version 22.1 64-bit for Windows 10. I complained about this bug a long time ago. I added an attachment to that email that I set a long time ago, but what I have done here was I have taken the problem image and put it in its own AI file. Although this problem seems to be relatively minor, without understanding why the bug arises, I can't be sure that my SVG images are going to reflect the image that I see in AI or that I would see as a PNG file. After all, I do not want to have to test each and every image to make sure that every little detail is actually present in the image. When version 22 1st came out, the SVG images were missing more components or the SVG image would not even export at all. It just seems that Adobe has not really made much of an effort to test the files before distributing them to the public. Although version 22.1 solve many of these problems, it did not solve all of them, so this needs to be fixed, because like I said, I don't want to have to spend time examining each and every SVG image to see that it actually represents the original image.
Although I said this in the prior email, I do want to point out that the image does display correctly when the AI file is saved as an SVG file, but I do not want to use that file for a webpage, because it is a much bigger file. I do love the export feature that you have in Adobe Illustrator; it is the best way to save image files that I have seen, but you do need to fix this.
I do want to point out that most of the files are exporting correctly, but the software bug could have subtle effects that may be hard to detect. Aside from including a copy of the PNG file at a screenshot of the SVG file, I have also attached the AI file, which only has the affected image.
