I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 24.3.0 which is available worldwide now.

Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html

Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!

Not fixed on OSX 10.15.6, Illustrator 24.3. Place an object at a specific point in a document by keying in a whole number in the Transform panel or the Control panel -- eg put item at x = 2p6, y = 18p6 -- it will move it to 2p6.0001 x 18p6. Snap to pixel is off. This problem with precision is not new; it only goes away for some updates.

    Hi Everyone,

All the effect checkboxes have now been set to ON by default, and are sticky (meaning that if you disable preview, on next launch of Illustrator preview will remain disabled). This functionality now is available in our latest release build – 24.1.1 for Win and 24.1 for Mac which is available worldwide now.

We are working on making all remaining preview check-boxes sticky. Will update this thread when done!

We have the fix available in the latest release, where we have redesigned this dialog. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 24.0.1

Please refer to our knowledge base FAQhttps://illustrator.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/1844590 if you face difficulty in update.
Or get in touch with us at any of the other support channels – https://helpx.adobe.com/support.html

    Thanks

Besides the poor English ("getting"), the behavior of this dialog is nonsensical. It should behave like InDesign's does, allowing you to cancel closing if you want to continue working while the action goes on in the background, or --without additional input -- continue waiting for the dialog and file to close automatically. With Illustrator's setup, I have to click yes to confirm the closing action I just initiated. So closing the file now takes _two_ steps_ to complete.

    Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the feedback. Want to give an update that we have removed the dialog, and the new experience is available in our latest release build – 24.1.1 for Win and 24.1 for Mac which is available worldwide now, in case you want to give it a try. Now, there will be no blocking message, we will show a “soft message” which will auto-dismiss .

Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!
