Hi Everyone,
We have added a preference to enable ‘Zoom with Mouse Wheel’. Go to Preferences→ General→ Enable ‘Zoom with Mouse Wheel’.
Also, now you can pan the doucment using the middle click of the mouse.
Both of these functionality are available since January 2021 release (version 25.1) onwards.
You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback

Zoom focus would be relative to the cursor, so you can quickly move to any part of the document. This is a far easier and intuitive system, as navigating the canvas becomes twice as fast.
At the vary least there should be an option to enable this functionality, as some may prefer the current setup.

We have done further updates to Dimension tool with recently released version - 28.3
You can create and use your custom scale for dimension, hide or show units on dimensions and dimensions are now sticky to the object - they transform as well when you transform the object.
An error occurred while saving the comment Ash commentedOur business frequently needs to create spec sheets which are graphically appealing so we can submit them for tender and post to our website. This requires dimensions to be placed on almost every item every time.
Having a pre-set dimension style(s) that allow you to quickly add dimensions, and also override that text would improve our workflow massively.
Also the ability to add supplemental text on the other side of the dimension line such as “=“, “TYP”, “O/A” etc.
An error occurred while saving the comment Ash commentedJust voted for another similar idea. Dimensioning would be a boon for anyone who comes from a CAD based background like myself or for those Thile the example given, where dimensions are part of the artwork.
Perhaps a “dimension mode” where angled, aligned and angular dimensions can be made, similar to isolation mode.

The recently announced change pushed into Beta 28.6.578 refers to this similar request: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/35253820
The users can now use save custom presets within the Saved tab in the New Document dialog (modern one, not the legacy one). Please provide the dedicated feedback there.
As for the ability to change the existing predefined sizes for each document profile (Print, Web, etc,), like A1, A5, etc, — this is not yet available. Stay tuned and sorry for the misfire.

The latest Beta 28.8.0.37 now has this function back.
You can enable the mode using a button in Control Panel or in Properties, with the Artboard tool picked.
The option automatically enables Scale Strokes & Effects option temporarily.
As always, you can hold Shift to resize proportionally.
Please test it and comment back!

Starting from the February 2024 release, version 28.3, this option is no longer enabled by default for new documents. If you had hyphenation enabled in an existing document, Ai will respect this.

Exactly like AutoCAD.
