I wonder if this bug is more universal. I have noticed the same problem with a non-Wacom tablet on a Mac.

I agree. I would like more controls over the tracing process as well (Live Trace had a lot more control over the process if I remember right.)

Are you looking to add certain features to Illustrator to improve the drawing functions? There are a few I can think of:
-Support for tablets other than Wacom
-Better controls for brushes (I still get some wonky results from certain uses of brushes)
-I would like to be able to move back and forth easily between Illustrator and Photoshop but that might be asking for too much -

I am happy to share that ‘Auto spell-check’ feature has been shipped in the latest version of Illustrator. Here is how to enable/disable it in the latest release : https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/using/whats-new/2020.html#spellcheck

As per the comment, you can replace the spline in a blend via Object > Blend > Replace Spline, if you have a blend and a new spline path selected together.

You can replace the spline in a blend with a curved line. Having more control over the rotation along the line would be a welcome feature.

We have released the support for Gradient swatches in CC library with our latest release - v29.3
You can select the gradient swatch in swatches panel and add it to CC Library through the button on the bottom bar in the panel. You can also select any object which has gradient applied and add that gradient to CC Library through Add Elements from the Libraries panel and choose Fill Gradient from the drop-down menu.
Please update to this version from your Creative Cloud Desktop application and let us know your feedback.

One way this can work is choosing the PDF format and selecting a PDF option that includes the AI file for editability. I use this option pretty frequently and it works well. Straight AI format might be preferable in some situations but the PDF format can work.
