  1. Provide more information on how to get to "Baseline Shift".- It took one day and numerous forum posts to figure it out.

    To do a type/ baseline shift in Illustrator requires that one Preference be toggled ON. That's just in order to see the option in the Type pallet. I'm sure you know which one, so I won't bother telling you. If that pref is NOT set to ON, the user will not be able to find Baseline Shift, let alone use it. I wasted an hour or so trying to find it, then gave up and did the baseline shift in photoshop. I asked on the AI Forum, and got many answers, none of which tipped me off-until I had already…

  2. Another way to colorize our illustrations.

    As we all know, Adobe Flash is no longer part of the Adobe Creative Cloud. But there is one very useful feature of Flash that should be part of Adobe Illustrator and that is the way that we where able to colorize vectors on Flash.
    With Illustrator we can put a color inside an object, but if i want to put some colours into a surface between some handdrawned vectors that crosses I can't do it.

    Even the way that we were able to select a part of a vector when they crossed each other.

    Those were very practical ways…

  3. zoom in/out percentage scroll bar

    Please add zoom in/out percentage scroll bar back to navigator . Illustrator 6 has it and both Photoshop 6 and cloud have it.

  4. Opening Last opened/recent documents

    Problems opening Last opened/recent documents in Adobe Illustrator

    I teach Adobe Illustrator to around 60 16 year olds.
    When they first open the program & either double click on the image of their last document it often won't open. In fact it often opens another recent file, but not the one they actually have clicked on. The only way round I have found to get up their work is to >window & turn Application Frame off? This is far from ideal & I don't understand why it's suddenly started happening......

  5. Data Merge Batch process

    Give Illustrator the same functionality panel of Data Merge of Indesign. Works better and supports Data Tabbed exported from Excel.

  6. Add 'Release' button for Envelope distort object in Control bar

    Control bar is still the best thing to control various aspects of selected art. You try to transfer some of those to Properties, but 'Release' button (as long as 'Expand') is still nowhere to be found (only deep in menus or on hotkeys, already taken).

  7. Export for Screens - Please add EMF as an option

    I have hundreds of EPS icon files I need to convert for use in PowerPoint which means they need to be in EMF, EMZ or WMF format. The Asset Export tool is amazing and would be perfect for this task, but unfortunately EMF is not an export option. Thanks!

  8. Please fix "colour changing of vector elements between illu and ps"

    If you Copy/Paste vector objects - saving it to a library - from Illustrator to Photoshop causes a marignal colour change. That's pretty annoying and has to be fixed immidiatley, thx!

  9. CC cloud library "view by group" option when relink images...

    The addition of "view by group" option to organize assets has become paramount to manage great projects. But... I've faced the problem that when I want to relink any file from Cloud Libraries, the panel appears without any grouping or organization, needing to search through houndreds of individual asstes, manytimes sharing same name, and small enough to be undifferenciated each other.

  10. Make an option to disable auto-selection of artboards, when clicked inside

    AI now selects artboard whenever mouse is clicked within in (with any tool). While it's a great general behaviour, I'd like to be able to disable it.

    I have to work with overlapping artboards (which, by the way, sometimes prevent AI from correctly selecting the artboard clicked—it depends on artboards' order). When object is copied, AI remembers it's coordinates. Then, when I go to the object I need to place my copied art over and press Ctrl+F, AI pastes the object in the same coordinates.   11. Copy/pasting text from illustrator into other text editors

    I can't copy text from illustrator and paste into Word, gmail, Notes, Google Docs... anything! It makes it so I have to retype everything which is insane. I used to be able to copy from illustrator into other text editing tools. Why not anymore?

    how about making uninstalling this app normal like the rest of the software builders? You guys made a 5 minutes uninstall a ******** 2 hour task for me forcing to update creative cloud, creating an account so I can login to remove illustrator. I remember this next time I decide to download an adobe software.

  13. Please create hands-on tutorials inside application same as in AfterEffects

    AfterEffects has hands-on tutorials inside the application where user can learn and practice side-by-side simultaneously. Very useful and effective to have. Please create the same resources for Illustrator.

  14. Illustrator CC 2019 (oct) NOT as default program for file extension .doc

    Just upgraded to Creative Cloud 4.7.0.400, from 24.09.2018 on Windows 8.

    Weirdly my E-Mail client suddenly opens .doc-files in Illustrator CC. I checked Windows 8's default program setting for file extension .doc ... it's still set to "Word". The E-Mail client (Opera Mail) is pretty slim and itself has no way of setting file extension behaviours - it's depending on the systems settings.

    The Bridge's file extension dialog in Bridge settings does not list .DOC files, so it's not set to illustrator there either.

    However if i go into windows file extension settings again, highlight .doc and click "edit program"…

  15. Move anchor points in opposite direction relative to the object’s center point

    For years I have been hankering for a way to work with anchor points the same way as the width tool works or the option/alt modifier key works when resizing a shape with the selection tool.
    When two anchor points are selected I want to be able to move those points in opposite directions. Either attract or repel.

    Imagine there is a straight line between the two selected anchor points, when one of the points is moved away from the other point (pressing the modifier key) the point that is selected but not dragged should move in the opposite direction.

  16. Fix Find & Replace to keep formating of font being changed

    Find & Replace has never worked correctly and still doesnt. If I do a find and replace Illustrator will change the formatting of the text being replaced to the formatting nearest to it, it doesnt keep the formatting of the characters being changed if they are different than the characters either side of it within the same text block.

  17. Bring back Quick Match in character font drop down menu

    When you added the new font filtering system, you removed the feature Quick Match from the menu that had been previously available for quite some time. It makes sense to find a font, then be able to search for fonts similar without have to select a series of filters which may or may not produce a selection of similar fonts.

    It would be awesome if we could convert freeform gradients to grayscale just like with a normal gradient.

  20. Recolor Artwork flip 2 colors

    I want to quickly flip 2 colors within a multi-colored design.

    Lets say I have Object A (RED) and Object B (Blue) I want A to be Blue and B to be red. I try to find tutorials about it but couldn't find any. I have tryed everything in recolor artwork but its not possible to switch simply two colors (withing a multi-colored design, large file to see different color options quickly)
