Unable to Make sunbeams in Illustrator.
In Pixelmator for Mac, in generators, I can create a sun beam. I need this for a project I am working on for a client for there business logo but do to its design I can make it into vector. so I need to be able to create it from scratch in illustrator but it lacks the ability to, see recording attached or link. I need "exactly" what you see as vector no lame alternatives, unless you can do better.

Allow Security Settings to be saved as Adobe PDF Preset
Allow Adobe PDF presets to support passwords and security settings. If you select passwords and security settings in the Export Adobe PDF dialog box, and then click Save Preset, the passwords and security settings will be preserved.

Converting variable fonts and color fonts when saving
Periodic saving is a natural part of design work. Now when I periodically save I get to watch the 'wait bar' slowly slide by while it converts variable fonts and color fonts to objects. I DON'T even have any of those on my computer.

17 votesI am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 27.3.1 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

Spreads
It would be very helpful to be able to make a PDF and set it to "spreads" as you can in InDesign. When designing large display graphics that are made up of individual slices being assembled after printing, it makes proofing more difficult when art boards stay separate pages in the resulting PDF.

CC Libraries import - unnecessary extra clicks and groups.
In the previous version, to bring a library element in you simple alt-dragged it and, upon releasing it, it would be in. Now there's an extra click to place the thing, which is totally unnecessary and annoying.
Also, library items appear inside a group which isn't in the file itself. Also unnecessary and annoying. Please set these features back to how they were before (just a simple alt-drag-release to place a library item, and no extra grouping).

How come the measure tool does not snap to points?
Without snapping, measuring between points is not very accurate.
It would be nice to be able to measure actual lengths of curves or sections of paths. It would make it easier to create diagrams with dimensions.62 votesStarting v29.6, the measure tool snaps to other objects thereby giving you the ability to measure different dimensions quickly and accurately. When a layer is locked don't ask me if I want to unlock it. Instead give me a drop down list of all the layers to choose from
Usually when pasting something in Illustartor if the layer is locked it means I didn't select the right layer. If I could choose which layer to paste to I wouldn't have to cancel, select the correct layer and paste again

Make it so I can edit an embedded image in photoshop and save back to Illustrator like editing an image in Acrobat Pro

Remove limit of 27 spot colors on PDF export
We have one of the many printers that uses 6 inks to synthesize CMYK and spot colors. It uses internal look up for pantone spots, and these need to be set in Illustrator as spot colors. It's not unreasonable to have more than 27 of these (in this instance, we're creating a colour chart for our / our customer reference). Thanks.

Symmetry tool for adobe illustrator 2018
There is a symmetry tool for adobe photoshop 2018. But if you add the tool also in the illustrator we can make some great vector designs. Because sometimes we need to copy an object from a design and paste it as a mirror of the object. if you kindly add the tool it will be very helpful for the designers......

Remove Local Overrides button for Paragraph and Character Styles
InDesign has it, Illustrator should too.
Just a single local change, like font colour, and the text looses its paragraph style. The link might still be active since there is a + shown in the paragraph styles window, but changes in the style does not effect the locally changed text anymore.
Maybe this is wanted, but I would love a Remove Local Overrides button like the one in InDesign. It resets all local changes and forces the paragraph style back on the text. Even with multiple textboxes with multiple styles selected.

Ability to Import New Brushes to Adobe Draw
Would love to be able to create your own or import other brushes to Adobe Draw.

Add a way to color monochromatic Patterns and save color variations for patterns
In Fashion Design it's usual to define multiple colorways for Patterns.
It should valuable for Illustrator to save those colorways to be able to switch easily from one version to the other.
Something like saving the visibility of objects but with color in the "Variables Manager"
It should be cool too to get this feature (switching between colorways) in Creative Cloud Browser for reviewing...6 votes -
Import/Export DXF AAMA/ASTM
In order to be able to work back and forth with Fashion Cad Softwares, it should be useful for Illustrator to handle AAMA or ASTM standard of DXF.
I guess that Artboards could act as "Blocks" in order to remain the Pattern names and the layer hierarchy of entities (for trace, cut, punch or text)26 votes -
Non-Latin Support for Numbers in UI
I use Bengali extensively in CC, and it's frustrating that the interface doesn't understand Bengali numerals as their latin equivalents - for example if I type ৩৩ in the font size, it doesn't understand it as 33. However, I noticed that in the latest version of InDesign (13.0 x64) it does recognize & convert Bengali numerals - for example when I type ৩৩ in the font size box it converts it to 33pt. However, this still doesn't work in the current version of Illustrator (22.0.1 x64), and it would make sense to have this feature throughout the major CC products.

Paste on selected Artboards
The user should be able to paste on selected artboards. Currently we have to paste on all of them or one of them. With the advent of many more artboards, the user has to spend a lot of time pasting on each artboard.

1. Copy the artwork from the source artboard.
2. Open the Artboards panel or select the Artboard tool. Then, select the target artboards.
3. Go to the Edit menu and select a paste option (Paste in Place, Paste in Front, or Paste in Back) to position the artwork as needed. Alternatively, right-click the selected Artboard to access the paste options directly.
Shortcuts are also available.

Allow to resize my current tool with like in Photoshop, with Alt and right-dragging (Windows) / Ctrl + Opt (Mac)
Please add an Illustrator shortcut to resize my current tool! In Photoshop, if you're on the brush tool, then hold down CTRL and OPT, you can drag up/down to resize the brush. That would be GREAT in Illustrator!

Hide contents outside of a clipping mask for the Selection tool
Contents outside of a mask boundaries are still visible when using the Selection tool, so it's often tricky to select other objects behind. It would be great to have an option to just see objects within the boundary of the mask only with the Selection tool active.

Opacity and tint/shade options for Transform effect
In EFFECT < DISTORT & TRANSFORM < TRANSFORM, it would be really great if you could have a way to fade out the shape's opacity when making copies. Other options, such as fading it to specified tint or shade, would be really great as well. You can approximate this in the blend function, but it cannot generate the fractal-like structures that the transform effect can, so it would be nice to further the artist's capacity to manipulate a single shape.
