Files save backwards
Saving files (even new ones) is not functioning correctly. I will save a document only to next make a PDF for client review and go back to make changes and either nothing is there or the file is saved as a previous revision, not the one I saved as. Very harmful for my work environment. This is a MAJOR issue, not a minor bug.

Illustrator not opening Fusion 360 DXFs after 25.0.1
The primary reason I use Illustrator (on my Intel Mac running Big Sur) is to further process the DXFs generated by Fusion 360 and prepare them for laser cutting. Recently, illustrator started opening these files as blank, even though online viewers display them just fine. According to internet research, this should have been fixed in version 25.0.1. However, after updating and reinstalling illustrator the issue persists. This is incredibly frustrating as my laser has been unused for a number of weeks as I can’t prepare files. Please fix!

illustrator is unable to save this document ... due to some unexpected errors.
Prior that, I get a message saying "This file has been modified outside Illustrator. Do you want to continue?" Then I click yes.
Then... "Illustrator is unable to save this document ... due to some unexpected errors."
I've been getting this message every now and then whenever I try to save a document. Started when I updated my Adobe Illustrator to version 25.0.
Save a copy yields the same result.

Version 4 ICC profiles were converted to version 2 ICC profiles.
I get this message:
"Version 4 ICC profiles were converted to version 2 ICC profiles."
whenever I save a PDF when using the GRACoL_CRPC6.icc profile. I get it regardless of whether an image has been placed in the document or not.It is very inconvenient to have to click to dismiss this message every time I make a PDF, which over the course of job will amount to 100s of times. Also it means our automation of PDF making is interrupted and requires an operator to pay attention the whole time.
Thanks

Exporting from AI to Jpg/PNG - Thin line at bottom of photo.
When exporting and AI file (Logo in this case) to a JPG/PNG format from AI, each image had a thin black line at the frame of the image on the bottom. There was nothing on the artboards that would have caused this. I had to open the exported images in photoshop and remove the line manually. Image attached.

Save for Web Preview
This has bugged me for a very long time. When exporting, often the image looks like it will be missing a pixel width along the edge unless you increase the image size to go over the artboard vs. exactly fitting the artboard.
I check the dimensions of the art and, for example, it's 1920x1080 perfectly aligned in the corner at x=0 and y=0, yet you can see the missing pixel along the left edge. And, if I export it, it indeed is missing the pixel.2 votes -
Illustrator crashes when saving as CC (legacy)
1- MacOs Mojave 10.14.6, Illustrator 25.0
2- I need to send a file to a friend with an older version of illustrator that can't update due to his operating system not being compatible with latest versions.
3- I expect an illustrator CC compatible file to be saved.
4- Illustrator suddenly crashes without warning.2 votes -
SVGs opened in Illustrator don't include blend modes
I created an SVG in Illustrator that has some layers using the blend mode "overlay". I export out the SVG and it looks perfect. If I open that SVG in Illustrator it turns the blend modes into "normal" instead of "overlay".

SVG Text Export - multilayer bug
I am having an issue with text on a path and after SVG export the code shows the text now broken to multiple layers - this does not translate appropriately to web. This happens specifically if the text path is an angle interval of 45 degrees; intervals of 90 degrees work fine, all other degrees break this text path apart during export.
I am wondering if there is a way around this, or a different manner in which I should place text so that it may still be placed at a specific angle but remain all on the same layer…

Issues with using Assets Export in Isolation mode
If you enter the isolation mode of any objects and try to export any artboard by using Assets Export, it will eventually generate the wrong assets. However, if you exit the Isolation mode and try again to the same process, it will be all fine.

SVG paste truncating curves
Pasting SVG seems a bit broken. I have 1778 curves that I've copied from Rhino 3D WIP (it copies as SVG). I paste it to Illustrator, and Most of the curves automatically change to straight. Not only that, but it's automatically merging some of the points that are close together.
This leads me to believe that Illustrator is rounding the points lower than it should.
Enter Inkscape. I pasted there, and it's fine. I wanted to check to see if it was a failure of Rhino. So copied from Inkscape and paste to Illustrator... same issue.

Background Save does not work
Background Save does not work in Illustrator unless very specific conditions are met (must be a PDF-compatible AI file). Many users prefer to work with PDF switched off - and background save should also work when saving the file as a PDF document. It's basically a half-finished feature and should work under all circumstances and conditions.

Save as SVG destroys <path>
Attached is a very simple SVG drawing (rendered by MathJax) of a path representing the letter k (in math mode). It loads and renders fine in AI 24.2.3 on WIndows 10. But when I save it, I get the second attached file, which also has a path but a very different-looking one (unrecognizable). Presumably a bug in the SVG export engine?

Transparent PNG exporting fine but gives black background when importing
I used Illustrator 24.1.1 to export transparent PNG images. I can use these images in other programs and as web images but when I want to use them in Illustrator again it opens with a black background. I've tried to copy and paste the images, I've tried to place it and even to open it and then drag it to my workspace. Nothing works. I'm using Windows 10.

When importing PSD files with layers into AI, if you 'outline', masks get deleted and transparency made 100%
When importing PSD files containing smart objects into AI, the masks get deleted and opacity reverts to 100% when you create outlines (and it is really dangerous cos I only export to AI as a last step before i print, so this can be easy to miss!!!!).
You can rasterize smart objects before exporting them as a work around, but that's not a great solution really, and means you are best creating a copy of the layer if you don't want to lose fidelity.
