Crashing when trying to save file
Sometimes when I'm trying to save my progress on a file, it crashes and doesn't create a recovered file or anything. I've lost a lot of work.

desktop overrides ipad
ai desktop 25.0 and ai ipad
if drawing is open on desktop and i open it in ipad (and leave it open on desktop) and make changes .... then go back to the desktop the changes don't show up , but then, the old desktop version got synced and overrode the ipad changes on the ipad :(, and changes lost

File name wrong when exporting an Illustrator file as a PNG (it uses the files previous name)
If you have an illustrator file open and resave it with a new name - when you then export that file as a PNG it keeps the name that you previously used - not the new saved name. When exporting I have to manually change the name to be the new name I have just given the file. Very annoying when you have to create numerous files off of one original document which you need to keep exporting as a PNG. Nothing happened when I clicked Save or Save as... The only way was to export for screen as a PDF and then relaunch.

Save for Web Preview
This has bugged me for a very long time. When exporting, often the image looks like it will be missing a pixel width along the edge unless you increase the image size to go over the artboard vs. exactly fitting the artboard.
I check the dimensions of the art and, for example, it's 1920x1080 perfectly aligned in the corner at x=0 and y=0, yet you can see the missing pixel along the left edge. And, if I export it, it indeed is missing the pixel.2 votes -
Illustrator crashes when saving as CC (legacy)
1- MacOs Mojave 10.14.6, Illustrator 25.0
2- I need to send a file to a friend with an older version of illustrator that can't update due to his operating system not being compatible with latest versions.
3- I expect an illustrator CC compatible file to be saved.

Lost Work. Work not in cloud
I worked on a file for an hour Saturday, 10/24 and it isn’t there today. I’m working in the Beta version of Illustrator for iPad. I’ve never had a document not automatically save to the cloud. I also checked my creative cloud and it wasn’t there either. The beta version of Ai for iPad is not a separate app from the public version. I can only have 1 version on my iPad at a time. I really wish the beta was a separate app so I could have both versions. Now I can’t work in it at all for fear…

SVGs opened in Illustrator don't include blend modes
I created an SVG in Illustrator that has some layers using the blend mode "overlay". I export out the SVG and it looks perfect. If I open that SVG in Illustrator it turns the blend modes into "normal" instead of "overlay".

Why won't the attached svg open?
All the icon svg paths in the polaris icon system won't open in illustrator. It seems to be valid svg and renders in the browser just fine. It also won't open in XD.

CMYK profile exports as RGB pdf
saving cmyk document and opens in acrobat as RGB. Checked profile in acrobat says CMYK. used old document pre update, those files work fine

Exporting as wrong name
Operating System: Windows 10
Adobe Illustrator: v25.0
I have a file open, I 'save as', and rename the file.
I alter the file and when I export it as a jpg, normally the jpg name is the new file name.
Instead, the name is the previous file name before 'save as'.

SVG Text Export - multilayer bug
I am having an issue with text on a path and after SVG export the code shows the text now broken to multiple layers - this does not translate appropriately to web. This happens specifically if the text path is an angle interval of 45 degrees; intervals of 90 degrees work fine, all other degrees break this text path apart during export.
I am wondering if there is a way around this, or a different manner in which I should place text so that it may still be placed at a specific angle but remain all on the same layer…

"Export As..." is generating poor quality images
Using "Export As" to generate JPG or PNG file is having poor quality results recently, photos look grainy. In order to get the quality that is expected, you now have to go back to using "Save for Web (Legacy)" feature

Illustrator not allowing file saving bug
The Save or Save As functions aren't working. After going to File and selecting either one, nothing happens. I'm left with work unsaved and at risk of losing. This hasn't happened before and I have been using illustrator perfectly for the last 6 months.
I have a MacBook Air, macOS catalina version 10.15.5.
I have Adobe Illustrator 2020.

Downsampling not working properly with Extra large artboards
When saving into a PDF file larger than 225.5417" it uses the new extra large artboard feature (since version 24.2). This applies a scaling factor of 10 so that the file can be viewed properly in Acrobat.
The issue is that if you downsample your images it doesn't take into account the scaling factor. This means for a 1000" document, if I want to downsample to 300 dpi/in, I will need 300 000 dpi. But, the downsampling tools views the document as being 100" instead, and I end up with 30 000 dpi. So the end result is a 30dpi/in…

Pattern shifts around in PDF file when zooming in
When making something with a pattern, I heard and saw that when I save it as a PDF, the pattern starts shifting around when I zoom in.
I save my files always as Smallest File Size.

I am not able to save my file and can only exit illustrator if i press "Dont Save" .. as of now i am adjusting with "Save a Copy"
Using Latest updated version Catalina. Illustrator froze several times making me uninstall it.Reinstalled Illustrator2020. I dont see a homepage/preview page like before... the screen is grey blank... I worked on an existing file and a new file but cant save or save as. Can exit illustrator only after pressing the " dont save" option. Please Help!

Save in background option cause Kernell Panic on IMac 2019 A2116 after turn OFF this option never happens again.
