“Split Into Grid” creates a single live grid object now instead of independent paths and it's awful.
Recent versions of Illustrator changed “Split Into Grid” to create a single live grid object instead of independent paths. This completely breaks established illustration, print, and production workflows (stickers, dielines, laser cutting, icon sheets).
Please restore the previous behavior or add a preference/checkbox to output individual paths by default. Illustrator is an illustration tool, not a layout app.

Using 3d and Materials triggers the "error while processing appearance" message (doesn't work)
For the last 3 or 4 updates I can't use inflate or any of the options in 3d and Materials, with or without GPU, it won't work.

GPU Performance causes lag on RTX 4000 Ada – CPU rendering is smoother

OS: Windows 11
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4000 Ada
Driver: NVIDIA Studio 591.59Description:
When GPU Performance is enabled, Illustrator becomes less responsive (lag during zoom, pan and object manipulation).
Disabling GPU Performance makes Illustrator significantly smoother and more responsive.This happens even on empty or simple documents.
The issue is reproducible and does not depend on file complexity.Expected behavior:

L'utilisation de l'outil Pipette nécessite l'utilisation du sélecteur de couleurs et la pression sur Entrée.
Quand j'utilise la pipette pour sélectionner une couleur (peu importe en rvb ou CMJN) sur des visuels simples, (la plupart du temps) je suis obligée de passer par le sélecteur pour refaire la démarche et obligatoirement je dois appuyer sur entrée pour valider mon choix (si je fais ok ça ne marche pas non plus) (je suis sur mac 14.3.1) j'utilise illustrator 30.0.0 (et ce problème persiste depuis 2- 3versions antérieures déjà. Fehler: Zeichenfläche verdoppelt beim Anpassen an Grafik
Windows 11 Pro, AI.30.2.1.. ich markiere meinen Pfad und öffne "Zeichenflächen". Ich wähle "An ausgewählte Grafik anpassen". Bestätige. Nun sollte Zeichenfläche 1 eine neue Größe haben.
Währenddessen wird die Zeichenfläche verdoppelt und eine Zeichenfläche 2 erzeugt.
Der Fehler tritt nicht auf, wenn man sehr lange wartet zwischen den Arbeitsschritten. Also ca. das Fenster 1 Minute geöffnet lässt.Das Problem besteht seit ein paar Tagen. Eigentlich sollte die Zeichenfläche nur angepasst werden, nicht verdoppelt.

Panning at high zoom levels appears blurry

The more you zoom in, the more severe the symptoms are.

【不具合報告】macOS Tahoe 標準日本語 IME が Adobe Illustrator でインライン入力に失敗する
■ 環境
・macOS Tahoe (26)
・Adobe Illustrator 29.8.6 および 30.3 の両バージョンで共通して発生
・IME: macOS 標準日本語入力（ライブ変換オフ）
・ハードウェア: Apple Silicon Mac■ 症状
Illustrator のテキストツールで日本語を入力しようとすると、未確定文字がアプリケーション内のカーソル位置（インライン）に表示されず、画面左下にフローティング変換ウィンドウとして表示される。変換ウィンドウ内で確定（Return）を押してもアプリケーション側に文字が入力されず、ウィンドウも消えない。Illustrator を再起動すると一時的に回復するが、数十分〜数時間の作業後に再発する。この症状は Illustrator のバージョンを変えても変わらないため、macOS Tahoe 側の IME の実装に起因する問題と考えられる。
■ 再現手順
1. Illustrator を起動し、任意のドキュメントを開く
2. テキストツールでテキストオブジェクトをダブルクリック
3. 数十分〜数時間日本語入力を継続する
4. 値わず、未確定文字がインラインではなく左下のフローティングウィンドウに出るようになる■ 試みた対処（すべて効果なし）
・アプリケーションおよびシステムの再起動
・対象アプリケーションのキャッシュ・環境設定リセット
・フォントキャッシュのクリア
・入力ソースの再登録
・ライブ変換の ON/OFF 切り替え
・アプリケーシンのバージョンダウングレード（30.3 → 29.8.6）■ 鈴決した事実
AppleScript による Illustrator への JavaScript 実行命令は正常に通るため、Apple Events 自体のブロックはない。IME とアプリケーション間のインライン入力連携（Text Input Client プロトコル）が切れることが原因と考えられる。■ 要望

Text object becomes corrupted and cannot apply gradient or appearance
Illustrator on Windows 11 sometimes turns normal point text into a broken area text object.
When this happens:
- “Convert to Point Type” does not appear
- The text behaves like a text box even though it was created as point text
- The Appearance panel cannot add a new fill (button is greyed out)
- Applying a gradient turns the text completely black

Unable to open old ai or pdf files
Mac OS Tahoe, Ai version 30.1. <-- just updated 12/22/25
I cannot open complete, editable Ai or PDF files created in older previous Ai versions. A message appears that Illustrator could only partially read the file. If I continue it creates a file that cannot be edited. Opening and editing files is CRITICAL to our print shop business.3 votes -
Fonts change after reopening Illustrator file
I created a mailer in Illustrator with around 10–12 artboards and exported everything perfectly with the correct fonts. When I reopened the same file after two days to make changes, all the fonts had changed automatically, some text had disappeared, and the layout no longer matched my earlier exported JPGs. The fonts were installed and displaying correctly at the time of the first export, so the issue only appeared after reopening the saved file. I’ve attached the before/after GIF to show the difference.

2026 Illustrator UI Bugs EVERYWHERE!!!!!
Seriously, do you guys even use your own products? These issues are not buried, they are very apparent. Take a look at the attached screenshots. Gradients have been broken for a while now.
Also, this new version is full of bugs. I have to restart Illustrator immediately after opening for the bounding box to work, half the time adobe fonts are broken and wont sync.

Illustrator freezes when clicking “New File” on Windows
Illustrator (v29.x ,v30) freezes every time I click “New File”.
The application works correctly if I open an existing .ai file.
GPU acceleration is disabled.
Fonts tested. Drivers updated.

When relinking multiple images, one of the image appears as their original sizing and not the size of the image being replaced, This is just after receiving the new update (I do this everyday). This is not always true, sometimes it works fine. but most of the time it doesn't. I'm using Mac.

Selected Fill Color/Stroke is stuck to one color and won't change.
Hello! I'm using MacOS, and I'm on Illustrator 2026. When I was trying to change the fill gradient of my font, I ran into a glitch where the colors would not change. It's stuck to the original color I had originally. When trying to change the fill color, it changes on the interface but not when I draw. I've tried exiting out of Illustrator but it's still stuck. Even when adding text, it's stuck on black instead of yellow/any other color and it won't change.
