  1. Illustrator CC 2019 is very slow and laggy

    I'm using a Mac OS 10.13 Intel Core i7 16 GB. Ever since I updated to the CC 2019, illustrator became laggy and slow. The other adobe apps worked fine after the update. I saw here that I should try turning the dictation off but that didn't help.
    Everything in illustrator is slow now. And if I use the blend tool a lot in one document the eyedropper option in the gradient window becomes unavailable. Everything even if it's as simple as moving from one art board to the next or zooming in/out is lagging

  2. Color Settings Auto Defaulting

    When you open up a file in the new Illustrator 2019 it automatically defaults your document to have "Emulate Adobe Illustrator 6.0". You can change your color settings to what you want, in my case I use "North American General Purpose 2". But when you click into a different application, ex. Internet, Photoshop, anything; your file changes your color setting back to "Emulate Adobe Illustrator 6.0". This is extremely frustrating and annoying. Please fix.

  4. Random crashing - 24.0.3

    I have a brand new 16" MacBook Pro.
    OS: Catalina 10.15.2. 32Gb Ram. 2.4 Gz Processor.
    Illustrator 2020 v24.0.3

    The app is constantly, randomly crashing. When waking up machine (10 min auto sleep) there is a message waiting that Illustrator has unexpectedly quit. ,And, now it seems hung up on launch.
    Here's what I've done so far:
    - Ran app diagnostics as recommended on restart. No info was provided.
    - Uninstalled and reinstalled.
    - Disabled lots of 3rd party extensions
    - Restarted machine
    - I have 90 crash reports.

  5. Modified link, Missing Link pop ups

    Basically I get a pop up of modified or missing links every 2 to 3 minutes, constantly, it keeps happening with different files, I do have links but they are not being modified nor missing!!! And it drives me crazy, this is new for me, since I updated to Ai 2020. Any help?

  6. Complete Reset (Again) of ALL Preferences After Update (Toolbars, Workspaces, etc.)

    Not sure why this STILL happens, but every time there is a jump from one version of CC (today from CC 2017 to CC 2018), all preferences are dropped.
    All palettes are gone. Tool box is single column i/o 2 (as previously set). None of my preferences carried over from the version I was using right before updating. Very frustrating.

  7. Background Save works but it thinks it's not working!

    Illustrator 2020 v24.0, MacOS Mojave 10.14.6

    1. As I'm working on a .AI file, I periodically save, expecting the saving to complete in the background.

    2. The save completes - I can tell that by looking at the file using QuickLook in the Finder, but...

    Expected Result: I expect the asterisk to go away, and I expect to have no dialog when I click close.

    Actual Result: The "I'm not a saved document" asterisk is still in the title bar, and if I click the close button, I get a "your document won't be saved" dialog.

  8. Illustrator plays a <ding> sound when trying to move objects

    I am attempting to move a vector object from one side to the next using my mouse. While selected, I attempt to move the object with my mouse and I am hearing a "ding" (as if there is a message pop up) and nothing. The object will not move (The layer is not locked), and there is no error message. The object will only move with the keyboard keys. Please help! I recently upgraded to CC2018.

  9. Contextual Task Bar cannot be turned off

    When you hide the Contextual Task Bar in Illustrator 28.4 it will always reappear after relaunching Illustrator. Even after resetting the preferences.

  10. clipping mask Bug/glitch

    Hello.

    I'm using illustrator CC (25.1) and MacOS 11.1.

    When I use clipping mask, sometimes Illustrator shows a duplicate shape of that mask or shows what's inside the clipping mask (that should be hidden). When I scroll through the artboards, the clipping mask start to blink like a glitch effect.

    If you look the at the attached files you can see at the top, a clipping mask with some brown shapes inside. When I scroll down, another rectangle shows up.

    I am closing comments for this old report, but adding all those who voted here after the issue was erroneously marked as 'completed' as voters in the newer one.

    I encourage every user who has this problem to go and vote, since it’s the only way to make this thing fixed. If you know someone who has the same problem — ask them to vote too.

    Remember to provide your OS and GPU details, since the bug is a computer-specific one, because it happens only for some of us.

  11. Annoying tutorial tooltips will not go away even after restarting

    Annoying tutorial tooltip persists even after restarting illustrator. Clicked on the button it's referring to, still won't go away. Hides the navigation bar so you can't even move the document...

  12. Transformation tools in Illustrator 25.0.1

    MacOS Mojave 10.14.6
    Illustrator 25.0.1
    Option Click with Scale tool and typing 120%. OK
    Move. OK
    Option Click with Scale tool shows -35.5% instead of 120%

    Edit: Maybe unchecking GPU Performance in Preferences is a solution.

  13. Illustrator extremely slow when saving

    Illustrator extremely slow when saving - 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5 / Illustrator CC 2019 / expected 2 second save and more like 4 minutes

    It seems to have started after updating the mac.

  14. Rotate dialog box should have value highlighted by default, or be highlighted by Tab

    When you press R then Return on the keyboard to pull up the Rotate dialog box, the value of the angle should be highlighted by default like it used to be.

    Formerly when I wanted to rotate an object at a specific angle, like 122°, I would type R - <Return> - 122 - <Return>

    Now to do the same thing I have to type R - <Return> - <Tab> - <Shift-Tab> - 122 - Return – a much more cumbersome keystroke combination.

    At the very least, the first Tab should highlight the value, NOT the Preview checkbox.

  15. Negative alignment value using key object

    In previous versions you would be able to assign a negative value when setting a distribute value using a key object.

    When using this feature currently it reverts to a positive value. If you hold shift and click it will go to -1p0 but once you click up or down it changes to a positive. A clear bug.

  16. Wrong Dimensions When working with large canvas

    Illustrator 28.1

    Windows 11
    Ryzen 7
    64GB Ram
    RTX 3060

    Dimensions for objects in an artboard above 227 inches x 227 Inches gets divided by 10. So a square of 1000mm will show as 100mm when you pull out the dimension.

  17. Object > Align commands are disabled when single object is selected

    Align commands we can assign hotkeys to, instead of using action-wrappers and F-only-keys are great.
    But if you select a single object, the Object > Align command will be disabled (but the hotkeys assigned to separate commands will work anyway).
    Please check what makes this folder disabled for a single object selected and fix it.

  18. New bugs in 27.6: Illustrator does not open File from Explorer; Recent Files not refreshed; Wrong Taskbar Caption

    I experienced different annoying bugs fresh after the update to Illustrator 27.6:
    - Double Click on a file in the Windows Explorer lets Illustrator start. But Illustrator does not open the file. It stays idle only.
    - I opened a file (by dragging it onto Illustrator) and saved it as a new file (same name, but different location). When restarting Illustrator and trying to open that NEW file from the recent files list, it opened the OLD file instead.
    - The Windows Taskbar Caption of Illustrator is messed up (see attached image).

    I restarted the PC, uninstalled+reinstalled Illustrator 27.6, cleared…

  19. 「中マド」を使用した際に謎の現象が起こる

    １．英字フォント（私の場合futura）で「2021」と入力
    ２．黒い長方形を作成し、１の文字と重ねる
    ３．「中マド」で長方形を「2021」でくり抜く
    ４．塗りの部分を任意の色で着色（添付画像は黒）

    すると、「2021」の「1」の上の方に、謎の斜めの黒が表示されます。
    これは触ることができず、また周囲のパスを動かしても消えません。

  20. アートボードが斜めになり復旧できない

    ズームイン・ズームアウトを行うと添付のようにアートボードが斜めになり、復旧できない事象が多々発生しています。
    使用PCにつきましては、以下となります。

    ・Windows10 Enterprise
    ・RAM：16.0GB
    ・システムの種類：64bit
    ・プロセッサ：Intel Core i5-9500 CPU @3.00GHz

    業務に支障が出ておりますので、復旧方法等ご回答お願いいたします。
