Spacebar not working as quick Pan / Hand tool

Space bar - hand tool and zoom function doesn't work on illustrator 2020 and photoshop 2020. This is really annoying. Help!!

I'm getting this on mac to. Tried downgrading to a previous version of illustator. Tried resetting my preferences. Tried quitting browsers and additional programs.
This is a big issue. Spacebar isn't working to pan the document when on move tool as usual. Also not working for moving points with the pen tool. Which makes it a real issue for using illustrator

Please fix this, every time there is an update, I hope that the space bar issue is fixed - but so far, nothing! This is the same for Indesign and Photoshop

This thread is not quite on the first page of Google (currently page 2), but if a few bloggers link to this page, from their post about this issue, it will quickly go to the top of page 1 on Google, and then maybe Adobe will fix it?
For what it's worth, it used to work fine, and it still works as expected in Sketch, Figma, Framer X and other Adobe competitors.

+1 for getting this fixed. Being able to quickly tap and hold SPACEBAR to drag the screen is a crucial part of our workflows.
It was critical to being able to add SPACEBAR to a currently held shortcut to temporarily drag the screen, without losing the other held shortcut keys.
Please fix this, using "H" is not the same - ergonomically or functionally.

Again. Fix this Adobe. Make sure your products are 100% reliable before pushing updates on us.
We all rely on your products heavily. A lot of your bugs slow us down, especially when we're on a short timeline. This makes using your products more expensive.

Agreed! Spacebar as the shortcut for the hand tool is absolutely essential. I've just setup a new computer with the latest CC and Illustrator is saying that the spacebar is not a valid shortcut key - since when? In the last 5 min. of me designing something I've needed that spacebar over 20x in a large document. Please push an update soon. I cannot stress how important this shortcut is for your users.

HELP! My spacebar move shortcut is not working. It only works with the H shortcut, which is not helpful. The spacebar move tool is CRITICAL to my design work. I have had "help" by two Abobe persons and all they did was reset all my settings the default (twice) and sit till does not work. Is this a known bug still?!?! How do I restore that functionality? Please fix it!
