Pressure option for brush is greyed out in AI while using Wacom Tablet
Adobe Illustrator CC 22.0.0
Ever since the new update, every time I'm trying to change my paintbrush to pressure sensitive option from the drop down list box, the 'pressure ' option is greyed out and can't be selected. 'Fixed' and 'random' are the only ones that aren't greyed out.
How can I set the pressure senstivity option on?
Please help.

Karolina's comment below prob works the best. Just remember to close Illustrator and restart the app so the update kicks in, then voila pressure options as well as others appear back up again.

I actually easily resolved this by going Illustrator menu>Preferences>Plug-ins & Scratch Discs then clicking a check mark ok “additional Plug-ins folder” and choosing a Wacom tablet folder/file. -

I haven't seen this particular answer on the many FAQ's for greyed out pressure option for new brushes that I've read:
You don't need a tablet to utilize the pressure function in AI (which is as it should be, since you can with Photoshop and other apps); just installing the driver (free online) without the tablet is enough make the greyed out functions accessible: https://www.wacom.com/en-us/support/product-support/drivers .
And then I use the app, Inklet https://tenonedesign.com/inklet.php , to use my Macbook trackpad for pressure sensitive drawing. The pressure aspect doesn't seem to register with AI on the trackpad, even with a pressure brush selected, without it.

I had the same issues. I tried the steps that you suggested, problem fixed just a minute.
And then I fixed once and for all I believe. Maybe this can help someone have the same problem.
The steps I followed after uninstall-reinstall table drivers:
1. Right click on Illustrator > Select Properties > Compatibility > Run as administrator
2. Followed same steps on my tablet driver.*I also changed microsoft account to local account but I dont sure if that helped. (win10)

I have been dealing with this for a few days. I finally looked closely at services and I had two different wacom drivers running. Canceling the ISD driver brought back pressure options.

Hi everyone, I really struggled with this but managed to get it working in Illustrator using the below steps. I'm using a Wacom Bamboo Touch.
1. Uninstall Tablet drivers using Wacom Utility.
2. Reinstall drivers with fresh download of driver from
3. Don't update Creative Cloud app to Illustrator 23.0.2
3. Test pressure functionality for tablet brush in Photoshop
4. Follow troubleshooting steps on Wacom site
(https://www.wacom.com/en-au/support?guideTitle=Is-there-a-compatible-driver-for-Mac-OS-10.14-Mojave%3F&guideId=d4bced14-ee83-4141-a953-a2d0e39c4946)
5. Reset Illustrator Preferences
6. Open 'Brush Definition' dropdown menu where you should find a separate brush named 'Touch' or Tablet name in Illustrator that allows pressure sensitive functionality.Hope this helps.
Cheers,
P.S Don't forget to upvote this report on top left of page so that the techs action it sooner (only 22 votes, but a lot more comments on here than that)

It's working fine on my Jurassic age computer and Paleolithic Wacom tablette with Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.6 and Adobe Illustrator 23.0.2.
But not on my brand new iMac pro and iPad + Astropad with same settings. Working fine in Photoshop though. -

Any body figure this out? Is it an Illustrator cc 2019 bug? So irritating! I’ve re installed drivers, restarted computer, reset preferences. Nothing has fixed it. 🤬
