Artboard selection bugs in Illustrator CC 2018
There are a number of bugs related to Illustrator CC 2018 losing artboard selection (no highlight in the artboard list in the artboard panel), and losing sync between actual artboard selection and displayed (highlighted) selection. These include:
When copying an artboard by dragging and dropping it onto the New Artboard icon in the Artboard panel, and then dragging that new artboard to a new position in the artboard list, the selection is displayed on the new artboard in its new location, but in fact, the original artboard is still selected. Double-clicking on the new artboard does NOT move selection to it, and does not cause it to 'fit to screen'.
Once you are in this situation, clicking within any artboard in the main work area does not cause that artboard to become selected, and does not move the highlight in the artboard list. Clicking the artboard navigation arrows on the lower left DOES cause the highlight to reappear and accurately show the selected artboard; however, having to click 'forward ' and then 'back' after each artboard drag and drop just to get artboard highlights in the list to work is ridiculous.
I use Illustrator professionally for UX design. My workflow is most often to create a screen, and then copy it and modify the copy to show the next step in the user's workflow. The 2018 upgrade is pretty much unusable because of these bugs. I just reinstalled Illustrator CC 2017 so I can continue to work.
We have the fix available in the latest release. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 22.1.

Adobe Illustrator (CC 2018) has gone from the best product on the market ( CS 6) to one of the most unreliable, buggy, daft, time-wasting programmes I have ever used.
FYI, I have been using Illustrator for nearly 30 years!!

Moving the artboard by typing new coordinates also moves the image paths out of position. Adobe need to stop releasing updates before they test them properly. Once you Upgrade you are stuck with the issues and can't go back.

Nitish, I have some screen recordings and test files for this bug in PR release program.

I saw you already have people complaining about this issue. I think screenshots wouldn’t help explaining it.

Bugs in Artboards panel functionality (CC 2018):
1. Navigation through the list doesn't work (you click on an Artboard in the list and it doesn't navigate the visable Artboard to the one selected on the list
2. Selected Artboard indication is not visable in the list, so viewing the Artboard panel, I have no clue which Artboard is active on a given moment. -

This is the buggiest version of Illustrator I've ever worked with. That's in almost 20 years.
Disastrous bugs in text editing and object selection.
