Adjustment of a gradient in Live Paint Bucket (K)
In Illustrator CC2019 the Adjustment of a gradient in Live Painting Bucket (K) does not work.
When in Live Painting Bucket (K) i apply the gradient, then i can not adjust it manually.
The problem is not fixed, alas, despite the previous fix, and everybody who tried to pick a Gradient tool after selecting a region with the Live Paint Selection tool can see this... OK, back to work with this.

Please fix this adobe! I’m paying for 2020 but still using 22.1!

In fact, I believe this is a bug....
When Live Paint selection is done, we can pick Gradient tool, but it won't affect 'Live Paint Select' object we have. Voted. -
It's Live Paint object, right?
How are you trying to do it?
You need to pick Live Paint Selection tool (Shift+L is default hotkey), click the area with a gradient (it will highlighted with a dotted pattern) and then set an angle you want in the Gradient panel.
Does it work for you this way? -

I am trying to get this linear fill point vertically, not horizontally, but even when I rotate on the properties option, it stays the same direction, regardless of which setting I put it on. Is this fixable?

I concur with Ton.
The problem, which has been going on for years, is still NOT fixed.

In Illustrater CC2020 on windows it is still not possible to adjust gradients within a live paint format. I drew several random shapes => selected them all => chose "live paint" "make" from drop down menu "Object" => used paintbucket (K) and selected linear gradient to collar sections of the live paint => selected all patches with the same gradient by pressing "L" and 3x click on one of the gradients => normally then I pres "G" to adjust direction and size etc. of the gradient bur although I get the gradient cursor, nothing is happening.

Current version is 24.1 and the problem is still there... -

You beat me to it, Scott.
The only thing Adobe does promptly is to suck our money.

The only workaround I can find, is to "expand" the Live Paint and then you can use the Direct Selection Tool to select the area and then with the gradient tool, adjust the gradient. NOT IDEAL. I've found that it works well with simple shapes, but doesn't always work with complicated ones. PLEASE FIX THIS ADOBE.

melenmaria -- I think you can have multiple versions on your company's PC (which is what the setup at my workplace is). Check with your IT dept. This is, of course, not the ideal solution. Adobe really should have fixed this well-documented bug by now. It is just not right for Adobe to keep charging its customers for something that is not fully functional.

I have the advantage to work from home but I cannot do it because of that. On my company we still work with the 22.1.

Yes - you can install an older version - I’m still primarily using 22.1 for just this reason (but paying for the latest version)

Nope, still not fixed. Despite "Adobe announces record Q4 with annual revenue of $11 billion in 2019".
