Artboards with the same number / missing number
In the artboards menu, two have the same number, and so one cannot access or export one of those two artboards (see the attached photo, with two artboards labeled "9")
The team again asks for help with this issue, since there are not specific steps they can try to reproduce it — the nature of the bug is random.
If you are a Windows user, the next time you spot a missing or a duplicated number in Artboards panel, please follow these instructions below.
1. Open Task Manager
2. In Details tab, locate 'Illustrator.exe'
3. Right click it and choose 'Create dump file'
4. Wait until the dumping process is complete and click 'Open file location' button
5. Find 'Illustrator.dmp' (sorting files by date helps) and compress it with any archiving utility
6. Upload the archive to a file hosting service of your choice and sent the link for download to sharewithai@adobe.com. Please use the subject 'Artboards numbering bug dump'
This will help provide necessary clues to locate the source of the problem. If you are a Mac user — please ignore this message.

When I make extra artboards, sometimes the numbering doesn't work and it gives problems with exporting files.
See the file I included
1 Artboard 1
3 Artboard 3
3 Artboard 3
4 Artboard 4 -

Artboard 15 had been named 16 for quite sometime now, hadn't had a problem much except if you export 15 and 16 at the same time it would override "15" because it is 16

I created a new document and made up empty artboards and it still had the bug but restarting the application seemed to reset and it works now.

When creating multiple artboards the boards are given the same number i.e. two 15's or two 23's (see attached ) which means when you export to eps the artboards that have the same number are ignored.

I got the same bug today.
I have made two new artboards, one has got number 46 (OK) and next happen to be 48 (47 is missing). If I try export range 46-48, AICC2018 says it's invalid. 46-47 is OK.
Bug stays after reopening file.
Here's the link for downloading both screenshot and file (with art removed):

Link will stay valid for two weeks.
(Uservoice, why can't I attach files in comments?) -

Some Art boards are being missed out and re-numbered as a repeat of the previous number, see attached images

Hi Aidan,
Can you please share your AI file with me at nitiagar@adobe.com so that I can further look into the issue. Also, are you able to reproduce this issue with a new file?
Thanks & Regards

I also have this issue. My document has 67 artboards, and number 27 is repeated (26 is omitted).

Adding Artboards does not create sequential numbers. Keeps duplicating 'Artboard 1, Artboard 1...'

My file has 40 artboards, the numbering of them gives two #34's and skips #33 completely.
When I export my artboards to PNG's or save as PDF pages, it only saves the first #34 (which should be #33), while the second #34(the real #34) gets skipped.

Hi Nitish,
Thank you for looking into this. The file can be found here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/4zzzuk43glay5rs/Holidays%202017_SC.ai?dl=0The problem doesn't appear when I open it now. Unfortunately I can't remember what I did when I was working on the file that triggered that odd numbering. It was just a visual bug as I remember well that there were no issues exporting the artboards.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any more questions.
Thank you,
Stefania -

I also have this problem on all documents over 65 artboards.

I have a document that consists of 75 artboards but the numbering on the left shows two artboards with the same 66 number instead of artboard 65 followed by artboard 66. However on export, exporting artboard 65 Illustrator exports it normally. So it's just a visual bug.
