Export for Screens doesn't remember settings.
Export for Screen Doesn't remember my settings.
Every time I restart Illustrator, I have to set again my Export for Screen setting.
I have project where I want to export few different sizes PNGs and a PDF, so it is getting a bit tedious to set those again every time I restart Illustrator. And of course it doesn't remember Export folder either.
It really amaze me how Adobe can brake some basic functionality like this.

As I sit down to export 112 Illustrator CMYK files to RGB jpgs, it sure would be nice if I didn't have to make the following changes in the dialog EVERY SINGLE TIME:
1. Change format from .png to .jpg
2. Select "Use Artboards"
3. Change color model from CMYK to RGB
4. Select "Embed ICC Profile"Like Barry Richards' comment in this thread, this sort of improvement would not be very eye-catching, and may not even be noticed by many, but this is just the sort of stuff that would make my life a lot easier. Just make the last options I chose for the export tool persist so that I don't have to change them every single time. I would take that over any AI-related new feature any day!

Export For Screens "export to" folder is set to same as document folder every time Illustrator is restarted.
I have document/project specific folders, where I want to export my PNGs every time. For example I want to always export PNGs from some document to "Textures" folder. Now I have to set that folder again every time I open illustrator and do some small change.
IF I SET SOMETHING UP, I DONT WANT MY APPLICATIONS TO CHANGE THAT SETTING FOR ME! NEVER!
MAKE IT SO THAT IF I USE FOLDER "X" TO EXPORT MY STUFF FROM DOCUMENT A, THIS SAME FOLDER IS USED NEXT TIME I OPEN THE SAME DOCUMENT IN ILLUSTATOR!
How hard it is?
Presets and some other changes were introduced to apparently fix these issues. BUT THEY DON'T FIX THEM. "Export to" folder is NOT saved in the preset. And now the "Export to" folder is same as the document folder, instead keeping the previously used. For me it made things just worse. It was not a FIX, but just broke more stuff. **** I hate Adobe.
How can it be impossible to get simple thing work? This is so frustrating and ruins my day almost every time I have to use Illustrator. I just can't understand why it is so complicated to do simple things.

on the window “export for screen” Windows There is a format section where you can input different sizes to export your artboards to.
but since the last update it seems to reset itself every time I open and close illustrator on my computer. so I always come back to the “x1” preset
it is very annoying because I'm used to render many different formats at the same time with very specific sizes and I tend to forget that I have to input them every time I fire up my computer
Eg :
1 at 300 PPI
1 at x2
Etc
to fix this please ? -

Are you using a Mac? I've generally been using Illustrator on Windows, and have only just realised that Windows Illustrator remembers these settings, while Mac Illustrator doesn't.

I agree, the .AI doc should remember its export for screens settings. Save/load of those settings would be very useful too. I do lots of jobs where the output is the same (web banners, digital screens etc) for every job, and it would save time and aid consistency to be able to just load up export settings.
These might not be eye-catching changes, but they're time savers that enable you to get on with the job of illustrating.

Export for screen looses settings every time after restarting Illustrator.
It is unbearable!
I have multiple documents which I want to export certain directories with certain settings.
I'm so tired of setting directory and dimensions every time I do so small change to my design and export it as the Illustrator can't do a simple thing and remember those settings.Illustrator should save Export For Screen settings for each document individually, so I don't have to set them all the time.
This can't be impossible. It was already fixed at some point.
