1. Asset Library Export stopped working with batch exporting

   From today for some reason batch exporting icons does not work in the Asset Export. I have a set of 150 icons that I use, and only change the color combinations as required. It always worked flawlessly. From today, When I click export, it seems to work, but no icons get exported when all are chosen. If I manually check a few at a time it works, but if I choose All Assets, it wont work anymore. Tried rebooting and clearing the cache.
   Windows 10
   Illustrator 24.2.1 64bit

2. illustrator very slow to export to PDF (all versions including latest)

   I recently built a new computer as my laptop was taking too long to make PDFs, the new computer should be 2-4 times quicker but actually takes longer to make the PDF from exactly the same file.

   The old computer is a 2017 MacBook Pro:
   Mojave 10.14.6
   i7 2.8ghz 4 core
   16gb 2133mhz LPDDR3 Ram
   Radeon Pro 560 4GB GDDR5 GPU
   512GB SSD

   New computer is a Windows 10 Pro (fully updated)
   Ryzen 9 3950x 16 core 3.5Ghz
   64gb 3200Mhz DDR4 Ram
   Nvidia 2080 Super 8gb GDDR6 GPU
   2tb M.2 gen4 drive

   The same file will pdf on the Mac in 1min 12 second. and 1 min 42 seconds on the PC. while writing the pdf on the PC, illustrator becomes 'not responding' and only un freezes once the pdf is written, in that time none of the resources are being used more than 10% so there is plenty of capacity for illustrator to be faster.

   The system is fully up to date and has been tested to ensure all hardware is functioning as it should, in benchmark tests the PC is 2-4 times quicker than the mac.

   I've spoken with Adobe help who have taken remote control of the PC on 3 occasions, they have tried everything but not made any difference. the last representative could only suggest that there was an efficiency problem with some of my hardware not working correctly with Illustrator, but could not say what. It has been tested on all versions of illustrator back to 2019.

   My GPU is on the list of recognised and supported devices, all drivers have been optimised for workstation/adobe use. but if there are issues that relate to hardware Adobe need to publish it so people can ensure their hardware will actually work. because currently i have a £3000 paperweight. This is a workstation computer which i earn a living from.

   All other non Adobe programs and games function as they should with no lag or delay, the issue is most defiantly software related and none of your representatives have been able to help. sort it out!

3. Export As SVG does not work. Leaves no File,

   24.2.1, Windows 10
   File >Export As [SVG, use artboards]
   Expected to see the file when I exported, did not, repeated 3X,
   No file was saved to directory.

   I then opened Illustrator 2019 which is still installed, and it worked as normal.
   Export As SVG is the most used feature in illustrator for me, and this bug renders it useless. No file gets exported.
   Bug did not occur on same Illustrator version for Mac.

   i have been unable to save my files properly since yesterday when i worked on a project thats has images, first i got a messages on illustrator that auto save wont work because the file im working on is large then when i tried to export my project for screen, instead of saving just as png, it saved as png.tmp$$ and just add to rename before i can get my file and also when i saved my files it keep saving as a temp file since then, have to rename the files saved and include .ai to get the file, really stressful, i reset my preference and closed my illustrator for long time, open it later and created a new file and saved and still got a temp file saved. you can check the attached files to see how the files where saved. need a quick fix, thank you

5. Exported AI file showing Improper File Format.

   File with Path Names not importing in any other software and gives error Improper File Format Line Excees 255 Characters.
   I tried this in 2 softwares WASP3D and 3DS Max. in both softwares the file is not importing. I want the file with Path Names.
   It is a world map also attached with this bug.

6. SVGz No longer displaying on live web pages

   Hi, I have been using Svgz files for a while now but the last couple of updates for illustrator the svgz files do not work. I have never been able to view these files till they were on the server So I would make both SVG and svgz files use the SVG to visually code then add the z to the file name on the server this worked well.

   The Files always generate this Error in a browser window but not once served via a correctly configured webserver

   I have just upgraded to 24.2.1 But believe this issue started maybe with issue 23 or even 22

   I have a lot of files created with previous versions of illustrator they all generate this code but display perfectly in their web pages.

   All the new files just display as a missing file icon but the file generated from the same ai file but exported to SVG display perfectly So I assume the problem must be in the encoding.

   Sorry, i cannot be more specific I can supply samples of the file which work and files which don't. If that will help.

7. Illustrator not saving 100% of the time

   I'm finding Illustrator isn't saving every time I save documents, the last approx 3-4 weeks I've had to re-make approx 15 files that I had previously saved. Running Illustrator 24.2.1 + Windows 10 Pro (1903) but problem existed before this update. My co-worker is having the same issue. I've held off reporting it as I cant explain the mechanism for why it's only happening occasionally. would love a fix for this, was hoping the previous update would somehow fix it but hasn't unfortunately.

8. Save dialog Format pop-up not accessible

   Since the addition of the 'Save Adobe Cloud Document', once in a while the Format pop-up menu is not responsive - can not choose a format.
   Other buttons work, but Save Adobe Cloud Document and Format: are dead.

9. Password Protection in PDF file disappears after changes and saving a PDF file

   When we password protect PDF in Illustrator the Password protection disappears if we make some changes and just save the file without put in the password again. Same if we open an pdf file with password protection, make changes and just save the file the password disappears. We didn't need to put in password eveytime when we saved the file after put in a password on earlier version. Is this something wrong with the new version or shall it be like this? Please put back old function or make a pop up box that ask for password if the file is password protected.

10. Font is bugging when saving as PDF file

    Some elements of font text are saving with an undefined glyph box (Box with an X) however no glyph is present. only letters "fi"

11. Illustrator 24.2 EPS title information changed to "Adobe Illustrator Artwork"

    Previously when saving eps files, the "Title" information embedded within the file would be the filename. It appears that with version 24.2 the eps title information defaults to "Adobe Illustrator Artwork". Can this be corrected back to the filename? Our RIP uses this title information and now all our files are being processed with the same name.

12. When Using (File - Place) illustrator applies an unwanted clipping mask which is not present if opened normally.

    I import lots of vectors and other files from various places on my computer and everytime I use the (File - Place) feature the vector I import has this unwanted clipping mask.

    I find myself clicking ungroup - release clipping mask - ungroup - release clipping mask until the image is completely destroyed and I'm left with a bundle of gradient boxes and an outline of the original shape.

13. Opening a PDF Bug - Not visible until selecting workspace

    I frequently open a PDF file in AI. Since updating to V24 (I run macOS Catalina v10.15.5 at the time of report, 6/15/20), if there are no files currently open, the artboard(s) will not be visible upon opening. I found a workaround, but it's still an inconvenience. To fix the issue, I select another workspace (which makes the file visible), and then return to my preferred workspace. However, the saved windows for that workspace are not visible until I zoom in on an artboard. After that, everything functions as normal and as expected, but the issue occurs every time I open a PDF with nothing else open.

    I frequently open a PDF file in AI.     24.1.2 crashes when saving down AI or EPS to CS6.

    Oddly enough there is some difference – the .AI doesn't seem to save at all, but saving from .AI to CS6 .EPS when opened after crash seems to have saved down successfully.

15. EVERYTHING Vanished

    I was simply working on a design today, then all of the sudden, a small popup flashed at the top of the screen and then went away immediately. BOOM, Every single file that has anything to do with that piece of work vanished completely off my computer. The original picture (.jpg) and my recent saves (.pdf and .ai) are nowhere on my computer.

17. Illustrator won't open .AI or Jpg files

    Hi,

    I'm currently using Intel Core i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz on Windows 10 with version 24.1.2 of Illustrator.

    I only started using software today (so i'm very much a beginner) and I have gone to open .ai and .jpeg but a tab pops up stating 'the file "abc" is an unknown format and cannot be opened'.

    Can you help me fix this please.

    I can't find any answers anywhere.

20. Issues copying linked graphics from a multi-page PDF opened in Illustrator as links.

    When opening a multi-page PDF in Illustrator, you have the option to import all pages as links for optimal performance. If there is bleed in the file, the size and scale of the graphic is correct UNTIL you copy/paste the link into the same or different document. Copying/pasting causes the linked graphic to resize:

    1. Open multi-page PDF with bleed in Illustrator and choose to Import PDF Pages as Links
    2. Select one of the linked graphics.
    3. Copy and paste into the same file (paste in front makes the issue more apparent).
    4. You will find the pasted graphic is now a different size/scale.

    Theory: When opening a PDF file this way, the linked pages load to the "CropBox." When copying and pasting these linked pages, The pasted graphic relinks itself to the PDF using the "TrimBox" instead. As a result, the image scales the "trimmed" size up to the "cropped/bleed" size when pasting the graphic. This is not expected behavior. I had thought this was working properly in CC 2019, but I was able to reproduce this glitch in CC 2019 as well.

    Workaround: Open your PDF in Acrobat Pro. Open the Set Page Boxes tool and change the TrimBox margins to match the CropBox margins (usually 0) and apply to all pages before saving the PDF. Now that the Trim and Crop sizes are identical, the glitch will be irrelevant when you open the PDF in Illustrator as links for copy/paste.

    Illustrator CC 2020 v24.1.2
    Windows 10 Home v1903
