2. Illustrator 27.6.1 randomly freezing...

   This is happenng to a few of the machines in my office. AI will randomly stop responding. The window will grey out and the only way to resolve is to force quit (I've given it an hour once to see if it resolved itself, but no).

3. GPU performance enabled, but Illustrator is still using CPU at 100%?

   Greetings, I have a 4070 ti and an AMD Ryzen 9 5900x (12 core) with 64 gb of RAM config, windows 11 machine. I have resetted the config files (deleted all the folders there), whenever I open a project that has 3d materiales and objects in it, illustrator refuses to use my GPU, despite having all the relevant boxes ticked in preferences. Here is a screenshot of whats happening. I am a CC subscriber and using the latest version (27.6.1 64bit). My video card should be able to handle any 3d task I set to it silky smooth, just applying "inflate and basic color parameters, plus raytracing" makes everyting take ages, instead of fast changes like I see on some of the tutorial videos

4. 100% View is Inaccurately Sized - Wrong Monitor Resolution Detected?

   This is marked ad fixed in older bug reports, but it is still an issue in 2023.
   When viewing my artwork at 100% Display, it is not accurate. The document I will refer to for this example is a 6"x9" postcard. The settings I have tried and the actual results are below:

   1. Edit>Preferences>Display Print Size at 100% Zoom is checked
      Result: ≈7.5"x11"

   2. Edit>Preferences>Display Print Size at 100% Zoom is not checked
      Result: ≈5.25"x8"

   3. Tried both of these settings with the "View Actual Size" shortcut, they rendered the same results.

   So currently, the only way for me to actually see the true size of the document I'm making is to zoom and measure with a ruler until it's accurate. With the first setting, 81% zoom is the actual size. With the second setting, 113% zoom is the actual size.

   When posting this to the community, a community expert recommended I report this as a bug, suggesting that Illustrator might just have detected the wrong monitor resolution.

5. Illustrator is crashing all day long, for no reason

   Illustrator is crashing straight away, it just crashes and closes, sometimes recovering the file worked on at the time and sometimes not, and for no apparent reason to me. It doesn't crash with a specific file, it has crashed with several. I stopped counting after crashing 20 times in one day. I use a Creative Cloud account where I alternate using it between a Windows computer (at work) and at home on an iMac (home-office) and it only crashes on Windows. There is no conflict to report in System Compatibility Report in the Help menu. When it crashes and closes, when reopening no specific error message appears.

6. freeze on save

   I have consistent problems with Illustrator 27.2 hanging/lagging (becoming entirely unusable, with any action resulting in a ca. 10-second wait) following saving. This seems to happen only if I happen to switch to another open window/program while saving is in progress. This has only been happening w/in the last few weeks, so perhaps connected to a recent update? The only way to correct the problem is to quit and restart Illustrator (even shutting down the individual file isn't sufficient). It happens whether or not I'm using an external monitor.

   I'm on a 2022 14" MBP, 16 GB RAM, Ventura 13.2

7. two fingers touchpad navigation bug

   When I am using two fingers on touchpad to navigate through document, the movement is not fluid - it's like playing game on low FPS. When I am using spacebar + mouse to navigate - its fine.

8. Slow performance / undesirable switch to CPU preview

   Operating system: macOS Catalina 10.15.7
   Illustrator: 26.5

   When turning on rulers or editing the artboard, Illustrator switches to CPU preview, which is very slow.

   After closing and reopening the file, the gpu preview is active. (If i don't save the file with rulers turned on)

9. Illustrator is incompatible with Windows 11 sleep mode

   My Windows 11 laptop (Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360) heats up and excessively drains battery when Illustrator is open and the laptop has been put into sleep mode. My laptop heats up even more while been plugged in and in "sleep mode" with illustrator open. These issues has forced me to use the hibernation mode for example during commuting.

10. Custom guides make Illustrator unusable when viewed as dots

    I've made guides out of a large number of lines (forming an iso grid). This works fine as long as I am viewing the guides as lines, but when changing the view to Dots in settings, Illustrator get so slow that I can't even move around in the document. I am using Windows 10 version 26.1. I also have v25.4.1 installed and it is the same thing there.

    Maybe it would be less performance demanding if we could set transparancy on guides instead of using dots?

11. Copying and Constraining using keyboard shortcuts (Opt/Shift) is causing error sound

    This version of Illustrator (26.1) on MacOS Monterey 12.3 is sporadically having problems with taking an object and using keyboard shortcuts to copy/constrain (option/shift). At seemingly random times when trying to copy an object with option held down or option/shift held down and dragging the object with the mouse, I am getting the error noise and then a rejection of what I was trying to do. It happens frequently throughout my workflow, but I'm not sure exactly what is triggering it. Sometimes I get the error noise when simply dragging an object around the artboard, but again seems totally random.

12. Illustrator not effectively handling Windows Desktop Magnification

    I have been having so many problems with Illustrator lately and just now realized that it is because of my UltraWide monitor and the fact that I have Windows Magnification set to 200%.

    This is not being handled well in Illustrator. It's making the active area around a selected item way too big. I can be 100px off of the selected item and it still wants to rotate. I try to select a point and it's nearly impossible. If you look at all of the "tolerance" bug reports, I would be willing to bet they all deal with magnification levels above 100% that Illustrator isn't compensating for.

    To test it, I changed my magnification level to 100% and suddenly, the rotate tool disappears when I am just a little bit off of the selected shape like it's supposed to. Somehow, the tolerance distance for things like rotate or transform or selecting handles is way off when Windows desktop magnification is greater than 100%.

    FIx this problem and you can literally close a dozen or more trouble tickets.

13. Very Slow

    I just updated my MacBook Pro (16 inch, 2019) to OS Monterey 12.2.1 and my Illustrator is CS 26.0.3. It is very difficult to use my files from last week. The cursor sits there spinning the beach ball, I'm seeing artifacts and artwork disappears, I can't even drag a simple pattern tile across my page. I use slightly complex artwork year in and year out as a product designer. But with the most current Mac update, something went wrong. I've rebooted, cleared my cookies, all the usual things. Please help!

14. animated zoom malfunctions after placing images in illustrator

    When I place files from photoshop into illustrator, the animated zoom malfunctions. It's still turned on in the preferences, but it just doesn't work. This has been a problem for several months. It doesn't have to be a .psd file, it seems to be any format (admittedly, I haven't tried every possibility). Running os 11.6 & & Illustrator 26.0–however, this started showing up in previous versions.

    Yet another of hundreds of bugs that now plague this once great program. I'm tired of constantly using workarounds (that impede and drastically slow my workflow) to utilize illustrator. Not like it'll ever get fixed either. Thanks Adobe!

16. Illustrator cloud documents gone - return on uninstall and reinstall, but gone again

    Every time Illustrator starts up it says "cloud documents gone"
    Have to uninstall and reinstall to get them to show...
    but cloud document are gone again after next boot
    The interface eventually breaks, the tools bars stop working, can not change layouts. Signed in, using the most recent version up to date, see attached image.

17. "Not Responding" every 30 seconds

    1. Windows 10, Intel i9-9900K, 32GB Mem, Nvidia RTX 2060 Super
    2. Adobe Illustrator Desktop v25.3.1
    3. Open Illustrator
    4. Every 30 seconds, "Not Responding" appears and I am unable to perform any action for approximately 15 seconds

    I also received a System Compatibility Report- Video Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630. I ensured all drivers, windows, and illustrator are up to date. The issue still occurs.

18. Latest Illustrator Update Unresponsive July 2021

    Can't select objects, access library (unresponsive), extremely slow, has obscured text when re-opening files. Can't save png or saves and then distorts the PPI. Won't toggle between tools.

19. Not enough memory

    Working on MacOS Catalina 10.15.7 with Illustrator 25.3.1
    I have a simple shape like half of a circle which has a standard color filling plus a "inner Glow" effect. When I want to transform the object like scaling, it tells me there is not enough memory. When I hide the effect and redo the steps it will let me transform the object. Thanks for taking care.

20. Wacom tablet pen problem

    The buttons on the Wacom tablet pen has been set to scroll up/down, but it doesn't work in illustrator. When pressing the button, a hand sign appears and vanishes instantly. The buttons work fine in other adobe and non-adobe apps. I have tried reinstalling the Wacom drivers and also disabled and enabled the wacom device on preferences but nothing seems to work.
