  1. Illustrator 2019 inoperable after Windows 7 update

    Windows 7, CC 2019, 64-bit PC:

    Since latest Windows 7 update, Illustrator opens but none of the tools work, and the pull-downs roll back up before I can select one. Coworker with Illustrator 2017 has the same problem. Photoshop and Acrobat work.

    Also, after the second-to-last Windows 7 update, we can no longer print a second PDF after making the first one, from any program (Illustrator, InDesign, AutoCAD...). We still have this problem too.

  2. Completely wrong displayed information

    Illustrator is displaying offset clipping masks, will Not display Objects properly or at all as if they are entirely transparent with every setting I can find that says it shouldn't be.

  3. Illustrator 2019 23.0.4 suffering from (memory) problems

    Illustrator is very unstable. Sometimes it starts with all menus grayed out - need to force quit. It complains about memory when working on very simple documents. Hangs the complete Mac - needs hard restart.
    Lots of issues, not always reproductable, without error messages - seems quite fundamental.

  4. Long delay before PDF dialog when large images present

    It seems that when there are any large linked images present, Illustrator locks up for several seconds or more before the Save Adobe PDF dialog appears. Often the delay is long enough that I end up switching to another task while I wait.

    This never used to happen in previous versions — I believe the problem started with an update in late 2018 or early 2019. Based on the delay before the dialog appears, it seems like Illustrator might be refreshing/re-reading the images in the background, because the delay seems to increase with more/larger images.

  5. Issues running Illustrator 23.0.4 and OS Mojave 10.14.5 on a Mac

    1. Every time I move the cursor, instead of moving it it acts as if I had clicked and dragged, selecting an imaginary area. 
    2. When I try to select an item, the cursor will not do it, so I click twice, then three times, and then - it finally selects, and sometimes catches up with a delay, clicking the second and third time and mucking the selection. I have reinstalled illustrator and went to the apple store to reinstall the OS, with no resolution. The system runs ok with other applications, shows issues with Photoshop as well and is slows when…

  6. Improve Large Complex File Handling

    Performance with large files is sluggish & frequently enters the "Not Responding" state. This wastes my time & causes frustration. Files with this behavior include those with many linked or embedded images or complex vector graphics such as expanded brush strokes. However, I cannot find an explanation for this slowness. During these periods, my total RAM usage does not go above 40% & CPU usage does not go above 20%. GPU usage spikes to 100% occasionally but quickly returns to near 0% so this does not seem to be the cause. Opening & saving files takes a very long time…

  8. Illustrator have weird display problem halfway during my work.

    I've recording down what had happen to my AI recently. I have no idea why this happen, and i don't know the keyword to search for an answer to solve this problem so I decided to post it here. This had happen a lot recently almost everyday and at least happen twice or thrice a day. This had already happen for at least one or two weeks. And the properties panel also is unviewable because everything is squishing together, unviewable and unuseable. (for the properties panel unviewable problem, I didn't get the chance to took a picture before Ai crashed.)…

    WTF!!! updated system, creative cloud... ALL!!! and I can't work on illustrator!!! PLUS HOW MANY ILLUSTRATOR ARE FCKING being installed???? I have THREE in my dock!!!

  11. Direct Selection tool not working correctly after image trace

    After using the image trace tool and selecting either high or low fidelity, sometimes the direct selection tool stops working correctly. Although you can still use it, it doesn't highlight the points when you actually click on an object. Once you create a new project it works but it stays broken in the old project forever.

  12. Batch in Actions strips the action's effects and results in no file preview

    If I manually start an action for a file, I have a preview for the resulting re-saved file and it has been altered properly based upon my action steps. But, if I batch files with the action, no preview is generated and my file has not taken on any of the the changes the action gives it. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I think there's a huge bug with this function.

  13. Links Delay

    iMac, Mojave 10.14, Illustrator 23.0.3

    When I select any link whether it be on the artboard or on the links panel, it has a slight delay. Not sure when exactly this changed but it wasnt always like this, i was able to relink one right after another with zero delay and now im not able to do that. I have 2 Examples.

    1. When I select a link file from the artboard, it takes about 2-3 seconds before its shown selected on the links panel. This is a problem because if i try to Relink within those 2-3 seconds, it wont…

  15. Mouse scrolling

    Mouse wheel scrolling is almost non-responsive.

    Whether I want to scroll up or down, or zoom using the alt key, the mousewheel is almost non-responsive. Only scrolling 1 or 2 frames for every 6-10 mouse wheel scrolls.

    Mouse wheel scroll works fine on Photoshop and Indesign. Only Illustrator presenting this issue

  16. Mobile Adobe Draw open in Desktop App (AI) does not work

    Opening in Adobe Desktop Apps does not work in iOS Adobe Draw. There is the option to save as a PSD in cloud files, but NOT to save as an AI. Highly disappointing for tablet integration.

    Also, two finger gestures are slow and interpret commands poorly.

  17. Huge glitch

    I'm working on a Windows 7 in Illustrator version 23.0.1

    The very first time I opened the program the file had a big cutout in a triangular shape, and clicking anywhere on the document or even just moving the mouse around causes it to glitch further by adding random colours to the document and displacing the objects in the document.

    After the first time this happened I uninstalled and reinstalled the program but that didn't work. I also just updated to the newest version of Illustrator today but that also didn't work.

  18. ILLUSTRATOR IS BROKEN GARBAGE

    First of all this bug reporting website is horendious, and I expect nothing less from Adobe who make products that should put them out of business.
    Right now in Illustrator 2019 I cannot change the size of a font without stroke appearing on the text, if I turn the stroke off, the font shrinks in size again, now I'm here wasting my precious time typing out the stupidest problem imaginable. Another thing, I have absolutely no idea why when i click the type tool to the artboard there is text that appears automatically... is the paradigm of a blinking cursor…

  19. Undo in illustrator behaving funny. Please address it.

    Undo function in Illustrator 23.0.2 (64-bit) is behaving funny. It is doing one simple undo of a transformation after 2-3 steps. Sometimes the undo totally gets disabled resulting frustration! Please address. This message is sent from the corporate license of Abobe CC of Danfoss (drives section) Global Team.

  20. Horizontal Lines

    I always get these horizontal lines that show up when I'm scrolling down an illustrator file. They completely cover the screen and then go away if I zoom even a little bit. Figured this was a bug that would get fixed with an update but it has continued ever since I first downloaded the app. It only happens when I click tab to hide the menus and toolbars. Tab will also make them disappear. Assuming this is not normal, anyone else getting this??
