  1. Action batch saving with data sets does not put out multiple files

    I updated to version 25.4 and had a file with multiple data sets. I have an action that saves as a PDF and I wanted to "batch" this action as I have done multiple times in the past to create multiple PDFs.
    However, now only one file gets saved and it gets overwritten constantly when the action repeats. The saved file name is whatever the file was saved as when recording the action, so it is not even the data set name.

    I have now reverted to the oldest version I could find which was 24.3 and it is working…

    1.) Is this Issue still happening on your machine in the latest version 25.4.1 ?
    2.) If yes, please provide Test and script file.
    3) Video & steps with which you are facing issue.

  2. Actions don’t record renaming of groups, don’t remember the choice in Expand dialog

    I'm recording Actions to in Illustrator CC 2018 ( 22.1) and I've found a few things lacking:

    1) When I group objects, and name the group, while recording an action the name does not get recorded.
    The group just bears the name "group".

    2) If you choose "Expand" while recording an action and choose from the available options (Fill, Stroke, etc.), you are asked to make that choice again when the action runs — not much of an Action!

    Aside from the above I find the lack of Conditional Action, as per Photoshop, feature disappointing: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/33770071

  3. Export for Screens: ImageType PNG - is not recorded as an action

    When i export for screens and select png as export type with a fixed width of 5906 px in my case, then this action is simply not recorded.
    Other image types are recorded (like jpg or svg).

  5. スクリプトでアクションを実行するとフリーズする

    Illustratorのアクションに「⌘+A」といういわゆる「すべて選択」アクションを作成し、「Select All」という名前を付けます。

    Apple Script で「do script "Select All" from "testAction"」を実行すると、Illustrator がフリーズします。

    この現象はver.25.2頃のバージョンでは発生していませんが、それ以降のバージョンでは発生します。

    改善されることを願っています。

    Create a so-called "Select All" action called "⌘+A" in Illustrator's actions and name it "Select All".

    Illustrator freezes when you run "do script "Select All" from "testAction"" in Apple Script.

    This phenomenon does not occur in versions around ver.25.2, but it does occur in later versions.

    I hope it improves.

  8. "The specifed PDF preset not found" error comes when save pdf action is called & joboption file is added after launching Illustrator

    I have a code similar to below code in my plugin.

    AIActionParamValueRef mActionParamValueRef;
    ASErr result = sAIActionManager->AINewActionParamValue(&mActionParamValueRef);
    result = sAIActionManager->AIActionSetInteger(mActionParamValueRef, kAIPDFOptionSetKey, kAIPDFOptionSetCustom);
    result = sAIActionManager->AIActionSetString(mActionParamValueRef, kAIPDFOptionSetNameKey, "[sample]");
    result = sAIActionManager->PlayActionEvent("adobe_saveDocumentAs", kDialogOff, mActionParamValueRef);

    Steps to reproduce the issue:

    1. Launch illustrator.

    2. Create a new PDF preset (sample.joboptions) file in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe PDF\Settings folder

    3. Run the plugin which contains above sample code.

    4. PDF saved successfully But Error dialog comes "The specified PDF preset is not found".

    Note: Error is not reproducible if I goto "Edit > Adobe PDF Presets" and then close the dialog before running plugin.

  9. Recording Flip Horizontal or Flip Vertical as an Action and running it crashes Illustrator

    Apple M1 Mac Mini
    Mac OS 12.3.1
    Illustrator 26.2.1

    Create new action
    Assign F4 as shortcut key
    Record "Flip horizontal" under Transform panel menu
    Stop recording
    Select an object
    Press F4
    Illustrator crashes
    This also happens with Flip Vertical as an action. Does this in any document.

  12. No option to stop recording an action when resetting workspace

    When recording an action with Button Mode unchecked in the actions panel, there is currently no way to stop recording the action if you reset your Workspace with your Workspace having button mode enabled. As far as I know, there are also no hotkeys to start/stop recording for Actions either. Forced to restart Illustrator otherwise.

  14. Vertical Scrollbar Malfunction with Tablet

    I am on a Windows PC running Windows 10 Pro 22H2. I have been having this issue in Illustrator since version 28. I DID upgrade to version 29.1 and it still persists.

    I am using a Huion Kamvas Pro 16 GT with the latest driver (15.7.6).

    What is occurring is when I use the drawing tablet stylus to manually scroll the vertical scrollbar by grabbing the cursor with the stylus, Illustrator fails to stop scrolling even when removing the stylus from the cursor. Simply dragging the pen stylus across the screen causes everything to scroll wildly. The mouse will not…

  16. Generative AI not working

  17. 스포이드로 다른 쉐입을 찍으면 흰색깔로 바뀝니다.

    원래 스포이드로 다른 쉐입을 찍으면 그 쉐입이 가지고 있는 속성(색깔, 획 등)이 모두 복사되어 들어와야 되는데 적용이 안됩니다.
    무조건 흰색으로 바뀝니다.

  18. Direct selection tool doesn't work 90% of the time

    90% of the time when I use the direct selection tool (and I'm sure I am using the rght tool because the curser turns white as it should when this tool is selected) I can't manipulate anchors and instead am dragging the entire shape.
