The intended way to ensure your pixel-sized document stays the same size after export is to use the default screen resolution — 72 PPI.
If you set anything else, Illustrator will scale the image accordingly (as if the 'Resample' option in Photoshop is ticked when you resize an image).
There is no way to write a custom resolution AND maintain the desired size at the same time.
The reasoning behind this behaviour is that the resolution value is supposed irrelevant when an image’s intent is Screen or Web. An image can have no resolution value stored in it at all, it’s just an optional coefficient, and then different viewers and editors suppose a value on their own — usually 72 PPI (Mac-style) or 96 PPI (Windows-style).
Unlike other editors, Illustrator has a continuous range for all measurements units. One pixel is considered to be equal one point, and a point…
An error occurred while saving the comment Doug Roberts commentedFor any future readers: this is the result you would get if you export a 100 px file at 300 PPI.
If you want a specific pixel dimension, export at 72 PPI.
If you want a specific physical dimension or other PPI setting, create a document using physical units, not pixels.

The problem is not fixed, alas, despite the previous fix, and everybody who tried to pick a Gradient tool after selecting a region with the Live Paint Selection tool can see this... OK, back to work with this.
An error occurred while saving the comment Doug Roberts commentedCan someone from the Illustrator team describe what exactly they thought the issue was, and what exactly they fixed?
The issue as I understand it is that it is not possible to use the gradient annotator in a live paint group. This is the case in 25.4.1

Hi Everyone,
We have started working on this request. This was only a Mac-related issue where the shortcut got changed. We are setting it back to F12. We are not removing this shortcut, because a lot if users do use this shortcut. If you want to remove it, or change it to even more obscure key, you can do it as per your liking by editing the shortcut.
Please refer this link to know how to customize keyboard shortcuts: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/using/customizing-keyboard-shortcuts.html#Definenewkeyboardshortcuts
Thanks,
Varun
An error occurred while saving the comment Doug Roberts commentedI would be interested to hear from the users that do use this shortcut. If there are a lot of them, I would have expected them to comment at least one of the numerous occasions this is brought up.

https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator/blob-brush-grouping-layer-together-even-when-they-are-not-touching-in-illustrator-v25-4-1/m-p/12312342This appears to occur when the bounding box of the blob brush shape overlaps the previously-selected (filled) object of the same fill colour.

An error occurred while saving the comment Doug Roberts commentedKurt Gold suggests these steps to reproduce the bug:
Create a blank document.
Draw some circles.
Select one of them and enter Isolation Mode (at the object level) via right-click.
Move (or scale) the circle.
Quit Isolation Mode.
Cmd+Z (Undo).
Again Cmd+Z (Undo).Doug Roberts supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Doug Roberts commentedReproducible in Illustrator 25.0.1 and 24.3, Windows 10.
In Large Canvas documents, art brushes appear offset from the path they are applied to. The effect is more pronounced with larger stroke sizes and larger brush objects.
1. Create a large canvas document (an artboard with at least one dimension larger than 16383 points)
2. Create an art brush, or use one from a library.
3. Draw a path and apply the art brush.
4. The art brush is offset from the path by an amount that increases as stroke size is increased.Expected result: in normal (sub-16383 pt) documents, the art brush is centred on the path.

Kost: there should be an icon for 'linked' now -- effectively the reverse of the situation in previous versions.
