Improved Type on a Path
Type on a Path still is and always has been difficult to align. Trying to find the little cursors that allow you to adjust the end , middle, and begin points to move type around is difficult as they are so small and finicky and even blend in with the bounding box guides of the path. Having a clearer, easier way to move the type on path would be extremely helpful to everyone. I have even heard professionals teaching classes on Skillshare complain about this issue.

Change the hierarchy of the preset tabs when setting up a document
Would it not be a good idea to change the hierarchy of the presets when setting a new document? Currently, when you input Width and then tab to the next preset, it takes you to measurement units, then to Height. Surely it would be better to either have the measurements units choice before both the canvas dimensions, or after? That way you can input Width then tab straight to Height without looking at what you're doing. It causes problems if you forget that the current sequence is Width>Units>Height when you're inputting your details and only find out after you've input…

Clipping path in JPEG image file works in placement
A JPEG file can include clipping path. This clipping path works well when placed in InDesign. However, Illustrator ignores this clipping path.
If clipping path in JPEG works in placement, the user will be more creative.

Pushing Fresco projects to Illustrator retains the layers, but does not bring any of the color pallet.
Illustrator should create a swatch for every color used in a Fresco project that is imported.

copy and paste at pre selected place in group shape hierarchy
When did this change… I am 100% sure in the past when trying to paste a shape within the layered structure of a grouped set of objects, ….prior to pasting you could (A) Direct select, or maybe even double-click isolate a place in that layered grouping of shapes to specify where you want your newly pasted shape to go. Before I could, copy - hit (A) direct select an object, and then when I hit CTRL-F or V… the pasted object/shape would sit on top of previously selected shape in that layered hierarchy. Now, there’s no recognition.. or option to…

Numbered/Label elements in document
Could we get the ability to populate the document/artboard with labels for each element? When working with clients remotely, it might be nice to be able to have the program populate labels for each element/solid/etc within the document/artboard, that way the artist and client can refer to each item vs talking about this leaf/note/cloud/etc . Specifically if there are multiples of the same shape within the document. Easier communication and presentation. Thanks!

Movie Clip symbol?
When a Symbol is created, it defaults to 'Movie Clip'.

Please print "User Guides" books again. You do not need to constantly update them:
Physical "User Guide" books were far more quicker and easier to use to get answers to questions on how to use Adobe Illustrator. The book form could come out ever two years at most, including new updates, when it reaches a certain amount of pages, start a new volume. If you already have this online, or in a PDF format, please let me know where I can find it on your website and if you do have it online, does it have an "index" to look items up? Or just a search window? Thank you.

jpg saved in each color seperation
Can we save jpg in each color separation. because we can only see the separation in print preview but we can not save the jpg in each color.

XMP Meta Data、MM:Historyの機能改善
現在、IllustratorではXMPメタデータ上のHistoryの記述が最大で２個となっていて、初回保存時に１つ目、別名で保存時に２つ目が記述され、以降、別名で保存によるファイル派生が生じた時に２つ目のHistoryが更新される仕様になっています。
Photoshopでは、このHistoryの項目に保存履歴だけではなくconvertやderived等の主要な編集イベントの情報も記述されます。InDesignにおいても保存イベントは詳細に記述され履歴の確認が可能になっています。
Illustratorにおいても、もう少し細かく履歴情報の記述を行っていただきたい。以下に各サンプルを挙げておきます。

Could the Width Tool scale Pattern Brush tiles proportionately instead of squeezing them down distortingly?

I'm not sure, if this feature is already there (would be grateful for a response if it already is!). I googled, didn't find anything. It's also too many keywords...
So. The width tool can varyingly alter the width of a stroke to which a pattern brush is applied to. What I have been struggling with, is that, the width tool only squeezes the pattern tiles perpendicular to the spine of the stroke, and thus distorting the proportions and original composition of the pattern tile itself.

Harmonization between Adobe apps
Switching from one app to another (Fresco, Illustrator or Photoshop), it is annoying not to find the equivalent tools at the same place (ex: pipette).
Would it be possible to have a better coherence between the apps?

Can you please add the text recognition (OCR) feature from Acrobat DC Into Illustrator, I have been producing Emergency Evacuation Diagrams using Illustrator for 10 years, I get supplied with scans and non editable PDF files that I have to recreate. The ability for Illustrator to recognise text would be a huge time saver and I know a lot of other people would also benefit from this function. Affichage/Ajuster à la largeur
Je me trouve souvent à faire des mis en page sur Illustrator, mon logiciel fétiche de la suite adobe. Le zoom pour le plan travail est trop éloigné et de fois je dois faire deux fois zoom avant (Cmd "+" ) pour arriver sur un zoom sur la largeur du plan travail pour avoir un visuel idéal. Mais de fois c'est pas assez précis selon ou le pointeur est situé...
Avoir une option dans la fenêtre Affichage pour zoomer sur la largeur du plain travail me serait de grande utilité, surtout avec un raccourci du style "⌘⇧0"

OpenType features can be set in the Character panel
Currently, OpenType features settings can only be set in the OpenType panel. As a result, the user experience is poor. Being able to set OpenType features in the Character panel will improve the user experience.
