  2. Option to show only the actual missing fonts in missing fonts list

    Please provide an option to show only the missing fonts in the top half of the missing fonts dialog box. If only the missing fonts were visible we wouldn't have to constantly scroll up and down the missing fonts list to find the yellow triangle.
    Option only, because it is useful to see all the fonts that are used in a file...

  3. Ask user before updating links (AI 26.0.1)

    When opening a file containing linked images that have been revised AI will automatically update images without any alert.

    This is pretty dangerous for anyone working with a team or refer/update old projects.

    Would love to have it ask me first or at least tell me which links were updated. Something to create awareness that things have changed since it was last opened.

  4. Please add Illustrator option to maintain text color

    Could you please add an option for us to keep the color we chose for the text in an illustrator file we're currently working on?

    Meaning: Say I am writing text in a file, but I want separate text boxes and I want to keep the same color, rather than Illustrator defaulting back to black or whatever color was set as default in the preferences.

    I'd like to be able to check a box to keep the color I am using for the text rather than having to go back to the color and subsequently the default sizes set in…

  5. Trim View - Isolate to one artboard only

    I like the option of "Trim View" to temporarily hide artwork that outside of my artboard. But when I have overlapping artboards and I try to use trim view on one of them Illustrator combines the area of the overlapping artboards and trims everything outside of that "merged" artboard. This defeats the purpose of using trim view for me. I would like trim view to isolate the artboard I'm working on and only that artboard. It would also be nice if the black lines showing the other artboard extents would also disappear when entering trim view for a single artboard.…

  6. Export X, Y, W, H and angle to a text file or Excel format?

    Please add a feature to allow AI to export X,Y,W,H and angle to a text or Excel file.
    I have a need to get the coordinates and sizes of buttons (in pixels) for my Touch screen. After you design the image for LCD. You will need to know XYWH and angle for touch purpose. It will be good to have AI to send those information out to a file (not image).

    I am giving up-You have so much data on my mac-on my iPad pro-files that I have no clue who put them on Lenovo, from yous! Its been about 15 years ,Ive tried-I am 60! I cant Take it-you have no help for people like me=I have learning Disability,I look at your software =I see almost nothing possible to do?
    I can use sketch book-procreate, but Adobe its just foregin ,you offer no means for me to understand and its very sad- I need to make clean crisp lines- I need control+ in Procreate it all looks good then…

  9. Non esiste la possibilità di ri-utilizzare un file .ai in adobe Draw. Questo è un problema!

    Nel caso capiti di perdere o sovrascrivere un file creativo online (nel Cloud) dell'App Adobe Draw e si avesse solo l'esportazione del progetto in Illustrator (.ai), non esiste la possibilità di poter ritornare a lavorarci in Adobe Draw! Non esiste un file di scambio al contrario cioè da Illustrator a Draw! Questo può rappresentare un problema serio!

  10. Create new Library from document like Photoshop

    I have a file that has 124 individually named artboards (each containing 1 icon), and was looking for a faster way to add these icons (with their appropriate names) to a library, rather than having to drag each one from their artboard to the library panel, and then have to rename each one (again). Photoshop offers this capability

  11. Option to save / export values in 64 bits

    I work in metric, and everything works perfectly until I have to export file to the CAD software which uses higher accuracy.

    If I have a line of 42 mm, actual dimension is 42.00007 (because the way illustrator stores values in points, and getting rounded in 32bit).
    Problem really shows up if I have to scale things 1000-10000 times

    Would be amazing if Illustrator had an option to save / export values in 64bits

  12. 'Reveal in finder' right-click images

    Can basic image functions please get added to right-click menus. Both when right-clicking images, and when right-clicking images in the Links panel...

    • Update link
    • Link File Info...
    • Embed/Unembed image
    • Reveal in Finder
    • Reveal in Bridge
    • Edit in Photoshop

    I also made a single “Full Image & Link Overhaul” request that pulled all the smaller image issues together, but it seems to have been deleted. Can an admin explain why?

  13. Save as PDF with multiple artboards is slow

    Just had an long trail/error chat with you. We found the problem and thats why i post it here:

    When having a illustator file with 1 image and 4 artboards. (segments of the image). We print & mount the 4 artboards it to make a complete wall vinyl graphics.

    When i Save as PDF the export will take lets say 4 minutes. (it very depends on what image is used) but when i merge all artboards to 1 artboard it saves in 1 minute. So it means that per artboard the export time is multipled by number of artboards.

  14. Color swatch import bug

    To illustrate the bug - I have a file named logo and a file named base. Both have swatches named PRIMARY and SECONDARY (see attached). As I place the logo into the base file - even as a preview - the PLACED file adopts the swatch colors of the base file. I literally need to do the opposite. I need the base file to adopt the swatches of the placed file. Needs to have an option to REPLACE swatches.

  15. A mode for Free Transform tool to hug selected points tightly

    Affinity has Transform mode for selected points (see the GIF).
    Figma recently announced a similar thing — https://x.com/figma/status/2018778936482935124

    Illustrator meanwhile allows to use Scale, Rotate, and other dedicated transform tools for a partial selection. No bounding box is allowed when Direct Selection is active.
    We can pick Free Transform and use a familiar frame to transform the partial selection... but this frame hugs the entire object. This can be useful in some cases, but not that handy in others -—like when you need to work with a rather small part of a larger artwork.

  16. Ability to change measurement type under "Art Board Options"

    When an artboard is selected, and ART BOARD OPTIONS menu is active, you can only see measurement in whatever type is already selected DOCUMENT SETUP - i.e. if you get a file that someone built under millimeters, but you work in pixels, inches etc, you have to close the OPTIONS and go back to DOCUMENT SETUP and start over. I have to check art board sizes dozens of times a day and I have to back up many times. A drop down menu under ARTBOARD OPTIONS to change measurement type would be helpful.

  17. The ability to check an option for "convert lines to shapes" when I export different formats

    When exporting a file to SVG.... I wish there was a check box where I can specify it converts all lines to shapes on export to SVG... This way I do not have to do the conversion manually... and then revert back when I save ai version...

    Often I get messages that distract me and then I forget to revert back and accidentally save the ai version with lines as shapes... then my mast ai version gets messed up...

    Thanks a lot for reporting the feature request. When you say shape do you mean you want lines to get converted to SVG elements? Does this apply to the other shapes like, ellipse, circle or rectangles as well?

  20. Increase save dialog text width for long filenames (Mac OS)

    Discussed this with Default Folder developers that Mac OS system dialog box's text width cannot be modified.

    Instead, can Adobe improve the save dialog to allow a wider responsive text box for saving filenames.

    Currently, filenames only allow 30 characters before it is hidden by the system's box size.

    Example filename structure:
    - Project Name + Title + 2020-06-20 File State.ext

    Sample name:
    - Adobe Feature Request 2020-06-20 IN PROGRESS.ai
    - Adobe Feature Request 2020-06-20 COMPLETE.ai
