1. Workspace remembers settings in floating windows

   Having the ability to set parameters in floating windows would speed things up enormously. Setting a workspace for Arabic text, another for Western text – and being able to freely switch between them. Setting a workspace for a particular client, with their typefaces and brand colours already set in the palettes. 2. CC Libraries on Illustrator Paste in Place in artboard

   Could we get an option to save an artboard together with the group of items selected when we save to Libraries?

   I mean instead of modifying the artboard size to fit all elements, libraries would save the size of the original artboard and all the items in it, including the items that bleed outside (as bleed marks).

   2 - Would also be super useful to get an option to "paste in place" when pasting an item from the library into an artboard if the target artboard is the same size as the original artboard.

   I will try to explain my issue and why I'm suggesting this (It is long, you don't have to read it if you understand the main suggestion):

   I have created a library of several complete artworks to be used by the rest of the team I work with. The idea is that for repeat files, text, photo, and elements placement is always the same no matter who uses it.

   When I create the artwork, I always leave some bleed marks to avoid white lines on the border of exported files (that bug that happens sometimes). So, if my artboard is 2000x2000, with bleed, the whole group becomes 2008x2008.

   When I save the group to the library, the file in the library will have an artboard of 2008x2008 instead of an artboard of 2000x2000 with the bleed marks.

   The problem is, when we "Place Copy" the library item into an artboard, it is rarely placed in the original place it was when I saved it to the library.

   If I place it as a link, it somehow aligns but it will not from time to time.

   If I "place a copy", I always have to try to aim the perfect spot when placing it but if it has a photo in a clipping mask, it never aligns correctly! (and I have to align it manually again)

   Also, if I save only one item in the artboard, that is just part of the component, I won't have the original position saved and will have to manually place it correctly in a new artboard or make a transparent object to save the position.

   The workarounds I found were:
   - Go into edit mode, copy what I need, and paste in place on the new artboard. The problem with this is that you need edit access to go into that mode and I don't want to give editing access to all the team members that - will need this material.
   - The other is to place the group anywhere and then align it to the current artboard manually, with the align tools. The problem with this is that it only works when you have the full composition. If I save one component and want to save the placement of it in an artboard, I have to save a transparent object as a guide as well, which can be annoying and confusing for newer members of the team I work with.

   I attached some examples to try to explain better as this has been hard to describe.

   If anyone knows any other workaround for this situation that I have missed, I'd love to hear it!

3. Allow to use custom user templates for Swatch Info objects

   Swatch Info is OK (if completed!), but there is not enough customization currently.
   Take a look what an awesome ColorList script by Katja Bjerrum offers: https://productivista.com/make-a-list-of-colors-from-your-selection/ — we can set our own shapes before making a color legend.
   We could have done it semi-automatically after creating a Swatch Info, with Global Edit, to replace all chips with a custom shape... but for some reason these rectangles are immune to Global Edit (as it often happens, new features get loosely integrated with existing functions...)

   This actually also includes text parameters, but perhaps it’s a separate request... Sure, the font is the one defined by the [Normal Paragraph style], but text formatting is not only the font family...

   A tool you can use with selected objects, that would distribute those objects, in layer order, around the outline of the designated shape, most likely a circle/oval, square/rectangle, triangle, star, or custom shape.
   This would be a great layout assistant for placing, scaling, and rotating different kinds of objects at once. A time-saving and more accurate way to create many types of layouts.

   With this tool, you could:
   - distribute different types of objects (shapes, text, symbols, etc) around a shape
   - scale the shape and objects independently
   - auto orient rotation to the center or the line segment in the shape
   - perhaps even move the objects along the shape path

5. Reflect and Unite in one step, without extra points

   Reflect a shape and Unite it to the original shape without having extraneous points - in one step. Having to close the shape, then carefully align it and then unite it only to see you have extra points in the middle where the shapes overlapped is a hassle. (use - making symmetrical, complex shapes like frames or road signs or something similar) Thank you!

6. Add more essential features to touch mode in illustrator

   Really essential features like the eyedropper tool, having the tools available at the top (like clipping mask, gaussian blur), and the essential properties panel (with pathfinder and align) as an openable tab (where colours or weight is in touch mode at the moment on the right) would be great.

   This is because I often find myself switching between essentials and touch on my laptop when I am completing my coursework, which means that I am lagging behind my class and sometimes switching so frequently between tablet and laptop modes physically makes my laptop stuck on one of these modes, causing me to restart the machine.

7. Selection dependent tool display (context sensitive)

   In Adobe Illustrator, I find myself searching for tool panels a lot.
   How great would it be when Ai only displays relevant tool panels,

   For instance:

   -Selecting the Eyedropper brings up color related panels, and the Info panel
   -Selecting Paths brings up Pathfinder, Stroke and Fill
   -Selecting Text brings up Paragraph and Character

   E.g: currently, it can happen that Pathfinder hides a type related panel, while text is selected.
   Pathfinder is not relevant at that moment.

8. Export for screens missing modern features in order to be useful for responsive images on the web in 2022

   It's 2022 and responsive images on the web are well supported across all browsers.

   Export for Screens is close to being a good tool for this, but missing out on a few smaller but critical needs for modern responsive web (by priority):
   1. Customize ppi in combination with width / height / scale Formats exports
   2. Support for moderne formats: webp, avif and near future jpegXL

   And not really a export only feature, but:
   3. Be able to override antialiasing export settings per layer so text and artwork can be applied different antialiasing during export

   Note: Typical answer to several of these things are "Use Photoshop", but it's also lacking most of these features.

9. STOP changing the behavior of the tools!

   I have used AI for over 20 years -- I've even been featured in books!! Why the F is the team changing the behavior of tools. IT AINT BROKEN and you're making it worse.

   Just in the last 5 minutes I've found that I can no longer rotate a text box and have the text rotate, as well. Now the text stays put and the box rotates. WHY?

   Also, when I save a new document (with it set to AI editable pdf) it's saving some other copy and the document that's currently open is still unsaved and untitled. How is that an improvement?? If I hadn't noticed, i'd end up losing work on this untitled/unsaved working copy.

   Those aren't the only issues, just the two most recent. What are you doing over there, Adobe?

10. Support for ems in leading field of the type panel

    When setting the leading, we have the option of "Auto" or setting a specific value in a static unit like px or pt.

    It would be great if a dynamic unit like ems (as implemented in CSS) were available to make leading, and I suppose other type attributes, scalable relative to the font size.

    For example, if I have a block of text set to 12pt and 1.5em, the leading would be 1.5x the point size, and therefore 18pt. If I were to alter the font size to 20px, the leading would still be 1.5em and therefore would scale automatically to 30px.

    This could also then output to the CSS Properties panel as ems.

11. .DXF compound shape support

    Illustrator doesn't seem to support exporting compound shapes in a .DXF file. Corel does so it must be possible. This lack of support means that you cannot have text in a DXF file.

13. False translation in preferences window

    In preferences window's unit section the "type" text is translated wrong.
    Type must be translated as "yazı" or "yazım" as in the top menu.

    The text "tür" must be corrected as "yazı" or "yazım".

15. Vector Networks Like Figma Has

    In illustrator vector shapes can only go in one continuous path. If you wanted to draw a cube, it would take 3 shapes, perfectly aligned and 12 points, 6 of which would overlap.
    In a vector network a point can have multiple branches meaning that a cube could be one shape, with only 7 points (see image).
    This feature would eliminate the need for complex shape overlays to create simple compositions, like a cube.

16. Clicking on a "Corner" type before dragging corner nodes should stick to the selected corner type

    For text, when you open the Character menu and change an option, it "sticks" for when you type text the next time-- if this reverted back to default every time, it would become infuriating for sure.

    With the corner widget menu, shouldn't the menu buttons "stick" to a certain corner type for the next corner you select? I know you can use the arrow keys to go through the corner types each time you select a corner (which is useful) but for some workflows it is cumbersome.

19. Display fonts in a floating panel

    Requesting a feature where fonts can be displayed as a floating panel.

    And

    1- Show the preview of the fonts on the right side inside "Font Selector" panel.

    2- Ability to write the text inside "Font Selector" panel and display that text as a preview.

    3- Following #2, Ability to drag the "custom text" + "desired font" from "Font Selector" panel to the Illustrator artboard

20. Type Automation/Modulation Tool

    A automation/modulation tool allows type to be edited based off different parameters. (ex. typewriter function that allows more ink bleed onto random letters on a body of type). Similar to music production automation/modulation in that there would be values from 0-100 and then those settings could have a parameters (ex. setting the bounds of the automation from value of 80-100 and then having the ability to randomize that automation between those values). The highlighted text that needs automation/modulation would have a separate window with a linear grid to adjust each individual character and a drop down menu of what parameter is being affected. Then using a specific pen tool you would be able to draw in the value for each character or pick a value set and a percentage of how much modulation is wanted. Each character of text could then be adjusted for fine tuning. Example attached is from logic pro. The other example is a piece of text from a type writer to show the subtle differences of each character typed to give a body of work more of a human like touch. This could be streamlined for all adobe products with text
