duplicated drawings when saving or exporting
On AI CC 2019, when I save file for laser cutting machine compatibility, i.e. as a previous version or PDF format, it appears that my drawing is duplicated on itself (as if I did copy then paste in front). That never happened with AI CC 2018.
Any idea?

Data Recovery
There's a weird glitch happening where it's like 'recovering data' ONLY once I start typing - and it keeps inserting an image I have previously deleted.
It's also giving me warnings when I open the document about it - I've tried 'ignore' I've tried to replace the file. Nothing makes a difference, it keeps randomly inserting the image again when I type.
I tried setting it aside, thinking it would only do it once... no, it will keep inserting more and more if I keep typing.

Unable to set maximum number of files to be opened
Upon opening program, error displays "Unable to set maximum number of files to be opened." I did research suggesting to open terminal and typing "$ ulimit" but I get "unlimited" as the output. The forum then suggested to report this bug here.

File that exports in CS6 does not in CC
Using Adobe CC (tried all versions to date) I cannot export a .ai file to a CMYK tiff at 600 dpi. I receive the following error "The operation cannot complete because there isn’t enough memory (RAM) available."
The exact same file is exporting in CS6 without issue (CMYK tiff@600dpi).
Computer has 32GB RAM of which approximately 12GB are free at the time of the error.
Illustrator is a fresh install on a new computer (Win 10 Pro). Scratch disk set to secondary drive, no other additions or changes to Adobe.
Process on CC:
1 - Boot computer

Text file saved from Document Info palette is not supporting file names in Japanese
Environment: Windows 10 2018 (originally in Japanese but using English language pack)
So I'm using CC 2019 in English and when Illustrator saves the Document Info, all files that have names in Japanese will not show up properly in the text.
I suggest support for Unicode or other more capable standard.1 vote -
Illustrator files hides from Finders "Smart folder" search
I have made a "smart folder" in macOS Finder that shows recently opened files, but for some reason it won't show .ai files. I think this is an Adobe/CC-related problem and not caused by MacOS, beacuse after a little googling, other Adobe file types seems to be affected by the same issue. The .ai files do show up in the smart folder if Illustrator is running, but will eventually disappear after I quit the application. The problem seems to be specifically related to the "recently opened" search criteria for the the smart folder, becuase they do appear if I set…

Running Action to Save As EPS with only Artboard 1 results in AI file
I'm trying to run an action that Saves an AI file as an EPS using the only artboard, using the Illustrator 10 EPS option, with transparency. When I create the action, it works and I get a single good result. When I run the action, it does not work. It saves an AI file, not an EPS file.
This has been reported to Adobe Engineering

export directory
"Export as" exports to the parent directory, rather than the selected directory. This appears to happen more often if the target directory is created from within the dialogue.

Saving as PDF with no editing capabilities should not allow you to edit
Currently, if you are working on an AI file, and then choose File / Save as / PDF (and select PDF output options that have NO editing capabilities), once the PDF is saved it then remains open.
The bug is, that although the PDF is set with no editing capabilities - the file will still allow you to make changes and add items outside the Artboard area.
The problem with this is that once you save and close. if you open the file again - there is no way to access the content outside the Artboard area.

Save error with embedded PDF (Unknown error occurred)
Just updated CC to latest version on my MacBookPro 2017, and now I am unable to save a ill document which contains an embedded PDF inside. PDF was created from a scan on a Xerox WorkCentre 7855.
PS: Why can't I copy content from file info in file Properties? That is just dumb!

Illustrator 2019 taking too long to save in Windows 1809
Illustrator 2019 started taking at least 20x longer to save in Windows 1809.
This makes it effectively unusable as I can't suddenly up my hourly rate by 1000%

Illustrator CC 2019 won't embed fonts in PDFs
I'm trying to save my Illustrator file as a pdf but it's not saving (embedding) the fonts along with the pdf when I do so. However, if I open that same file in Illustrator CC 2018 or 2017 I can save out a pdf with the fonts embedded just fine.
Note: this happens whether or not I get the message "The preset specifies that some of the fonts are not embedded. This application always embeds fonts." in the Summary section of the Save Adobe PDF dialog box.
I'm using Illustrator CC 2019 on a Mac Pro running MacOS 10.13.6.

If a pdf is opened in illustrator, edited and saved; it asks to update the file as there are modifications. Now it goes in loop.

(macOS) file dialog drag/drop not working as expected
When dragging/dropping folders into the save dialog it often doesn't open the dropped folder in the dialog. This leads to slowdowns working with the save dialog.
Also, using the dark mode on macOS the save dialog is the wrong color compared to the rest of the OS.
Steps to reproduce:
- Open a file save dialog
- Drag/drop a finder folder into dialog
- Note that nothing happened.
- Drap/drop same folder into dialog (again).
- Note that it maybe worked, maybe it didn't.
- Repeat as necessary until it works.

SVG export : XML code anomaly
Hi there,
(my specs don't matter for this issue)
I'm using Ai to make .svg files I'll animate live (making it react to midi and sound) using PureData and Processing.
So I have vectorized a picture of stained glasses and it gives me 3655 different path I have to export twice : once in only one .svg file for all paths [globalsvg] and once in one .svg file per path [pathssvg].I'll then use Processing to analyse height, width, viewbox and d-commands in [globalsvg] to finally recreate the entire pattern by placing [pathssvg] on another plan…

Units preference not retained on asset panel export
Details of your operating system and version of Adobe Illustrator
Current version of CC on a Microsoft Surface windows 10 proThe steps you were taking when you experienced the issues:
It's in both the asset export panel and the export artboard panel. My global preferences are set to inches as well as the originating document.I'm often creating elements then exporting various bits as assets. So the asset export panel is handy for this. I could just copy and past into a new document and "save as pdf". It's just a smoother flow for my brain to use the…

Linked image used in opacity mask not compressing
I believe this is a new issue with a recent update. I've never had this issue before.
The attached pdf file should be renamed to an ai file. For some reason I am not allowed to attach an ai file. That doesn't make sense to me as this is a bug report platform for ai.
If I create a document that has a linked image used in an opacity mask, illustrator is not compressing the image when I save it. I'm seeing a file end up being, for example, around 8MB when it should be around 600KB. I am downsampling…
