Sunburst shape distorted when saving Illustrator (Version 24.0.3) file to PDF. I have created a sunburst shape in illustrator using a circle shape, then adding a dashed like stroke. The file looks totally fine in illustrator and also when I save it as a PNG and JPG, but when I save it as a PDF the sunburst is distorted (uneven lines). I even sent an illustrator file to a printer and my prints arrived distorted, which means they had the same problem. They are also using the latest version of illustrator. Is this a bug?

Illustrator crashes when I copy/cut images with Pantones.
When I copy or cut an image in my document, my illustrator v24 crashes for some minutes.

Import error when trying to export Illustrator settings
When attempting to export my Illustrator Settings (My Settings -> Export Settings...) to a file for backup I receive the error message "An error occurred. Settings were not imported."

Editing Pattern Swatch + Saving = Crash (unsaved, unrecovered)
After creating a new pattern swatch with about a dozen objects, I double click the swatch to change the pattern settings. Either of the following scenarios cause Illustrator to crash EVERY TIME, using ANY of the last 3 versions of Illustrator:
— hitting command+s to exit pattern editor while saving
— double clicking to exit, and then hitting command+s at any point afterwardsTLDR; hitting command+s anytime AFTER editing a pattern swatch is crashing Illustrator
I've replicated this issue about 2 dozen times now across all 3 most recent builds of Illustrator available through CC.

Replacing file doesn’t work
When I edit the file, then choose to replace the original one, the previous one hasn't been successfully replaced. When I open it, it still the last version.

Bug Report: Saving Design Files as PDFs from Illustrator
When I try to save an Illustrator file as a PDF that I've saved before, Illustrator asks me if I'd like to replace my old file with the new one I'm saving (which is normal). I click okay, and everything looks normal about the save, but Illustrator doesn't actually save over the old file with my new changes, unless I change the name of the file. This seems like a bug. If I ask it to replace my old file upon saving, I really would like it if it did.

Saving to iCloud Drive creates multiple versions of the same file.
Saved a file to a folder on iCloud Drive (on the Desktop with iCloud Drive Desktop & Document Sync enabled). The file is still open in Illustrator, yet there are 3 versions of the file in the folder.
What I am assuming is happening is that the file is being taken off of the desktop and saved to the cloud, but then Illustrator is rewriting the file because it can't see the original file. This hasn't happened before with Illustrator until the 2020 updates and I've saved all my files to iCloud Drive folders since it became a thing.

File deletes off NTFS file server
At work we use Macs running macOS 10.15.3 and Illustrator CC 2020 (24.0.3) with working files stored on a SMB (NTFS) share volume.
If we open an Illustrator file though macOS Finder window and then work on it and save the file, if the Finder window is still open it will delete the file and give an error. In order not to lose the work we have to save as with a different name. Illustrator randomly "Saves as..." (Bug)
As the subject line says... This behavior started only recently, occurring a couple of times a day. There is the phrase "Saving" followed by the file name which appears in shadowed Myriad type behind the save dialog. I have attached a screenshot along with my system info. Very weird and a touch unsettling. Thank you.

Attempting to Save an Illustrator File causes Mac to Restart.
This has happened almost every time I have tried to save a large Illustrator file. It is pretty much a lottery as to if the file will save or if I have to start again or recover what I have lost. I don't know what is the cause or how to fix it.

Save File
We are still having save file issues. Illustrator will not save the file over a network or even at time to the desktop. Also please do say "this is not a generic issue" looking at all the posts below with the same problem it surely is.
And please can we get moving on this. There seems a real lack of effort to fix these things. Whenever I read these posts you guys are always saying you have fixed the problem but the posts show that you have not, or you made the error occur again in another update. Very disappointed…

Exporting to png creates corrupted png file.
I'm having an issue with corrupted png files that were exported from Illustrator. If I export from photoshop, it's fine. I have exported from Illustrator a bunch of times before, so not sure what the problem is and what to do to correct the problem. Seems like it started with the latest update, but I'm not totally sure of that. Before this issue started, exporting to png was very fast. Now it is very slow, sometimes crashes the app, and when I do get a file and try to upload it online I get a corrupted file message. Again, this…

Unreliable EPS export from CC 2020
If I export a multilayered Illustrator file as an EPS from CC 2020, layers are not saved with the correct ones activated when the EPS is opened in Illustrator once again.
When I complete the same task in CC 2019 the layers are saved correctly.
This means that CC 2020 is not usable in its current state as a reliable production tool for generate EPS files.

Save artboards as individual files - File name bug
When I try to save an .ai and check "Save each artboard as a seperate file"
Illy should create each file with my chosen file name, plus appended with the name of each artboard.
Except sometimes it fails to append the correct artboard name. I always rename my artboards, and sometimes it just adds the default dartboard name.I'm on:

duplicate files
I have one file that whenever I open it, it opens 2 of the same file. This does not happen to any other files I have. Just this one (attached).

"Save As..." behaving like "Save a Copy..."
Mac Catalina, Illustrator 2020. Anyone else experiencing this? Go to do a Save As and it saves a copy instead and keeps you in the original file? So annoying.

EPS files look slightly off in working document and exported files for web
We have used .eps files for our logos for many years with no issues. Now, .eps files placed into a document (usually logos) appear just slightly off -- sometimes it will be the rounding of one of the letters, or a little chunk off the side of some letters. Some of the letters may appear to be outlined or thicker than others. In some cases, the issue is so subtle it isn't caught before going to print. Registered trademark symbols are often corrupted.
