Version 24.0.1 becomes unresponsive
I'm using Illustrator 24.0.1 with Windows 10 Pro
Since updating Illustrator keeps becoming entirely unresponsive midway through working with no warning and no way to save or quit.
Sometimes I can move the mouse over menu items, the drop down menu will be completely black and items 'appear' as I hover over them but I cannot click them. Other times I can not even access the menus and it is entirely unresponsive.
Since updating it has happened daily even when working on relatively simple artworks.
I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 24.1.2 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

Today, the problem is still not resolved... With Mojave 10.14.6, Illustrator continues to close at any time, and the menu disappears... Could you fix it please? It's impossible to work!!! And I pay my creative cloud and I need to finish my work! Thanks you

this new version does not work!!! it crashes constantly and doen't work! it does nothing and just shuts down! I just installed this version and this is how it works? I pay for this and it sucks!! please do something about it!! my older version works fine but I can not work on my files in that version! PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP! time is money! the person i'm doing this work for is waiting!!!!!
New version makes Illustrator useless, including all older versions. First it froze during work, then would not open or launch even after uninstall, reinstall, restart, etc. dozens of times. None of support community fixes work

For paying monthly for this service, Illustrator is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE with these daily crashes!!!!

There needs to be Adobe accountability for the extreme instability of this god forsaken disaster of a design program
This new version is suck. I'm using mojave and crash all time that I try initialize. I wonder if Adobe have QA, every new version there's a lot of new bugs.

I have this exact same problem. Happens with Illustrator 24.0 and 24.1. Win10 version is currently 1909, OS build 18363.657.

Its so annoying when this happens. I had to force restart and then I lost my design. Please fix that. This happens every since I updated to CC.

Ashley, this is exactly what is happening to me, too. If I walk away and don't force quit, Illustrator will eventually crash. There's no way around crashing or having to force close.

I am also having this issue after updating to Illustrator 2020 (version 24.0.1)
After working for a while just fine (can be a hour or more), all of a sudden Illustrator is stalling and behave very strange. The menu drop downs appear black, and only with mouse over some items show up.
The print screen function doesn't work when that happens, that's why I had to take a picture of my screen with my phone (see attached file).
I'm using CC2019 on windows 10 with Astute graphics plugins
This is a new issue with my application. Up until about a month ago, it worked fine with the same settings
Here is what the error looks like:
Drop down menus keep disappearing, causing the program to become unresponsive, and my only option is to force quit the app.
I will be working normally for hours, then I might right click or select "File" to Save As and the menu that appears will be "blacked-out." If I run the cursor over the menu, some items might appear, but they are un-clickable. The "save-as" box might flash onto the screen, but then disappear. This problem started occurring after I updated the app's latest version, and increased frequency to every day, maybe several times a day. Please help!
