Symbol Sprayer
I'm using Illustrator 28.2. Since I've been using this version, the symbol sprayer is acting odd. No matter what size diameter I select, it always sprays a tiny symbol that I have to enlarge. Not that big of a deal, except, most of the time it sprays multiple symbols and I don't know this until I enlarge it. Anyone else experiencing this?

Any document created using Film & Video document profile gets a second 14400×14400 artboard
When creating a new document in the HDV/HDTV 1080 or other Film and Video-related workspaces, the artboard is initially created with the correct size. However, as soon as you add any object to this workspace outside of the borders of the artboard, a new artboard is automatically generated, and it is massive. This forces the user to manually remove the second artboard, which is unnecessary.
1 voteThe second artboard is not a bug, but a specifically designed behavior for later import to AfterEffects. It gives AE enough room to avoid clipping of the layer content to the main artboard size (basically a dummy for a pasteboard).

Can't drag objects after creating text objects
V. 28.4.1. As soon as I create any text object, dragging objects is imposible, Illustrator won't let me move anything. Everything seems fine, until I create a text Objects, then moving anything is simply imposible. Restarting doesn't seem to work.

Illustrator 2024 resets most Preferences on restart
The issue with Preferences not saving is back. I have this problem with the 20243 version. How hard is it to fix this? It's SUPER annoying to have to change all of my preferences on a program I use daily.
EVERY time I restart illustrator, I loose all preferences except hot keys (thank god). I lose unchecking the real time drawing (because that's annoying), I lose units, I lose like most of what I set up. It's awful.

Recovery file missing regardless of auto save feature turned on
The Auto save feature is on but I dont have any version of the file autosaved even after 6 to 8 hours of working on the file.

EXPORTAR PARA TELAS COM DEFEITO
O Illustrator 28.3 não está EXPORTANDO PARA TELAS todos os selecionados, apenas a primeira tela, da segunda em diante o arquivo vem com 0kb sem imagem. Preciso que me ajudem, pq trabalho exportando muitos arquivos de uma vez todos os dias. Fico tendo que dar print ou criando um arquivo novo apenas para uma tela pra ai conseguir exportar. horrivel. Eu exporto mais de 10 telas em um arquivo. Preciso de ajuda

Popups in the Appearance palette often lock up Illustrator.
Lately whenever I summon a popup in the Appearance palette, I will often find that Illustrator locks up with a spinning rainbow pinwheel. I have waited a while for it to return and it never does; I now consider this a cue to restart Illustrator and hope I saved recently, or that I got lucky with the crash recovery.
The two popups I get it with more often are the stroke/fill color, and the stroke. I've included screenshots of both to make it more obvious where to fool around. Next time this happens I'll come provide a file that does this.
I've heard some reports of this happening with popups invoked from the Properties palette, too. I never use that myself.
I'm currently using 2022 Macbook Air running Sonoma 14.1.2, and Illustrator 27.8.1

Illustrator 28.3 shuts down on my macbook pro macOS 14.4 when trying to use 3d
I'm using a MacBook Pro with the M2 chip and just upgraded to Sonoma 14.4. I also updated Illustrator to 28.3. Up until then, I had no issues using 3D Effects. Now if I attempt to use 3D effects, Illustrator will shut down. A window pops up saying it shuts down for unknown reasons, and it gives me three choices: Restart, report, or ignore.

Crash when clicking on options in … (More Options) popup in the Properties panel
This one exist for at least a year: when object is selected and Properties panel docked to the right, click on the … (More Options) button in the Transform section. Then it either crashes immediately or when some option is modified (like "Scale Strokes and Effects").
I remember I reported that while ago, but got no reply and obviously no attention from support team.

I can't save files
I can't save files.
Whenever I try to save any of them, a notification comes up which says that the file cannot be found.1 vote -
Blank PNG export
Files exported as pngs in the newest version of illustrator are coming up as blank and will export as 0 bytes. This is happening on desktop and laptop for Mac, unsure if happening on PC/Windows.

Pasting text from Microsoft Office does not work on Mac but works on PC
This has been an issue for quite a while on many different machines Mac OS version, and Illustrator versions over the years and is consistent. When copying text or vectors containing text like graphs from a Microsoft Office app like Excel, PowerPoint, or Word. Then pasting into Illustrator, the graphics and vectors are correct but the text is illegible in that it is corrupted in some way so it looks like symbols.
I know it works on Windows as this is my usual workaround in the past, but my main machine is a Mac and this is a very annoying workflow.

Artboard not sizing correctly
This issue continues happening. I am attaching 2 screenshots showing the issue. Image 1 shows the top right corner of the artboard when I "fit to page." Image 2 shows the artboard after I've zoomed out once. The edge of the artboard moves in, but visually, the white part of the artboard doesn't move.

Objects missing when save as pdf
When I want to save the file as a pdf, various elements are missing in the exported file. These are mainly rectangles that are filled with a color gradient.
I have already tried various export formats, but the problem only occurs with pdf exports, regardless of which pdf format I use. I have not found any errors within the export settings as I have not changed the process before.1 vote -
PDF opened without changes, but I can see the changes in preview

- adobe illustrator 25.3.1 (desktop)
- I'm importing PDF file that were changed. In preview before opening I see the changes on the image. Then I choose to import all pages. And when the file is opened, there are not changes and the name of the file is untitled.
- I expect to see file with all my changes and the title of the file is the same as the file I choose to open.

"Select a File Format to open file"
Multiple Illustrator files with vector polygons and linework from ArcGIS Pro are no longer opening properly and are instead prompting: "Select a File Format to open file" with "Text" or "ArcGIS - Adobe Illustrator" as options. Selecting either option opens an empty, blank file. How can I continue editing the original Illustrator files?

Paste in front places objects in a wrong position
Just updated to Illustrator 28.3 on macOS Ventura 13.4 on iMac 19,1.
Paste in front is fine on current artboard copied from. But paste in front does not land in corresponding location on another target artboard.
i.e. - copy text or art from artboard A. Paste in front artboard A lands in exact same spot. Paste in front artboard B (same size, but to the right of A) lands at -6.568" @ 139.125° from artboard A location (up and to the left). Artboard C (2nd document) lands up and to the left -19.6735" @ 169.064° of expected location.1 voteThe bug vanished after a reboot.

Screen flashing while tool tips is on and hoovering over docked toolbar
While using the advanced toolbar and the 'show tool tips' feature, the screen flashes/glitches very fast and violently. I turned off the tool tips and the glitch stops. The tool tips feature is helpful but this glitch makes it useless/painful.
