Some shortcuts don't work with Mac Sequoia 15.2 OS
The spacebar does not resize something when drawing. Instead it brings up the properties box and sounds an error alarm on the Mac Mini Pro M4. Additionally, the keyboard shortcuts, such as M or H, stop working mid program. The up/down keys don't change the number of sides while drawing a polygon. I'm running version 29.1 I've already disabled any spacebar shortcuts native to the OS. Even running in safe mode, Adobe creative cloud programs have incompatible shortcuts with Mac Sequoia.

Dimension die but don’t get expanded when pasted along with the objects with Paste Remembers Layers enabled into a different document
I have a floor plan.
Some of the objects I have there have live dimensions attached.
I need to copy them all from an older revision of the file into a newer one.- I select objects and their dimensions together
- I enable Paste Remembers Layers in the Layers panel’s flyout menu
- I copy them
- I open the different document and run Edit > Paste in Place command
It all looks fine... Objects get pasted where expected: dimensions into their own layer, other stuff to other layers.
No shy message about objects being expanded.
All dimensions are displayed as single entities…1 vote -
Rectangle and shape feature only has pixels as measurement even though Inches is selected in Preferences.
I've updated to the latest Illustrator and old versions and new versions have this same issue. When creating a rectangle or shape, it only allows pixels instead of inches even though my preferences for units is selected for INCHES. This is absolutely annoying as I can 't even put in a size for printing like a business card or letter because it only wants pixels for measurements. I've been an Illustrator user for over 30 years and this bug is huge that apparently is not being addressed in previous releases.

Undo deletes more than one history step
Doing undo (Cmd + Z) Illustrator often deletes more than one step and resets the document close to its original/previously saved version.
Illustrator version: 23.0.3
OS: Mac OS Mojave 10.14.41 voteIf you still have this problem happening, please share a test file, the steps needed to get the behavior, and a video recording of it, with History panel opened in view, so the team can reproduce the issue on their side.

Move Tool Malfunction
I can't select the move tool properly-- or any other tool in this case. The main selected tool is stuck in the hand tool. After a while, it switches to the move tool and it gets crazier!!
Whenever I select a layer or an object, there's a 1-3 second delay. Can this be fixed? My projects are affected. I tried resetting the app already.

Blob Brush tool not functioning - making smaller shapes than I’ve drawn and nowhere near the right shape
I'm trying to draw with the blob brush tool - its not creating anything close to what I’m drawing if at all, sometimes it just does a single dot. it's also been extra laggy of late - taking full seconds to register I’ve moved the mouse.

Pen Tool Randomly Deactivating Briefly (a LOT)
Just updated to CC 2025 and have been introduced a bug where the pen tool now randomly deactivates for a split second and begins a new path. I've tried rebooting the suite, closing all other programs, but the issue is persistent. It happens so often I just clocked it at around 3-4x per minute. Insanely frustrating and making things take far longer than they should.
I'm running on a brand new M3 MacBook Air, not a complex file at all either.

Keyboard Increment works wrong and arrow keys move object more than they should
I have the problem as a result of the last update to Illustrator 2025, version 29.0 (October 2024)
The measurement set in the Preferences section, General in Keyboard Increment does not displace the configured measurement. For example, I set 0.5 mm and when moving with the arrow key to the sides it moves 0.706 mm
Likewise, when using Shift + Arrow you must move the measurement 10 times, in my example you must move 5 mm but it moves 5,292 mm
Please correct ERROR it is very useful and necessary, it makes me waste time in the Design

In case a similar problem happens with you, make sure you have both Snap to Grid and Snap to Pixel disabled.

Transform Again (Command + D) works inaccurately
When repeated more than three times, distances and measurements become inaccurate.

Ai Pen Tool keeps snapping to points
The Pen Tool in 28.7.1 keeps snapping to points, even when View/Snap to Point is off, Smart Guides are off, and in Preferences Snap to Point is off.
Very annoying. Would be nice when the tool itself had a switch to toggle snap / not snap while drawing. (like the Magnet in Premiere...)

Lasso selection drops
I can't keep a lasso still on an image or drawing that I'm attempting to crop. Whenever I circle an image with the lasso tool, it immediately goes away after I release the mouse controller.

Allow to delete custom Scales in Dimension Tool Options
I made a mistake defining a custom scale and now I can’t delete it. It stays there and reminds me of my mistake and messes up with my choice when I need to pick a proper one.
How can I delete it without reinstalling the whole app of purging some settings in some file, buried deep in the extensive bowels Illustrator has?
Then — I don’t need some of the default scales it has. How can I hide these, to go to my defined scales faster?

Difficulty Finding Mirror Process in Adobe Illustrator
Users should be able to easily find and use a dedicated mirror tool or a clearly labelled option for mirroring objects within the interface.

Editing handles of smooth points using ALT to change one side only
Adobe Illustrator 2024 on MacBook Pro running Sonomas 14.5
When editing smooth points I used to be able to select one side of the handle, hold the ALT key and edit the direction of that handle independently. Now it duplicates a part of the path. It's slowing me down a lot. Used - making waves, hair texture on objects, etc. Thank you1 vote -
Can't copy, paste or delete data on graph tool
Illustrator has a very old and annoying bug when using the graph tool: from times to times you can't copy, paste or delete data. Sometimes the keyboard shortcuts stops working and you need to use the menu (slower workflow). But sometimes even the menu doesn't work. Then you need to quit Illustrator and even restart the Mac.
It doesn't matter which OS ou Ai version you have installed. As I said, it has been behaving like that for years.
Please fix it.

Dimension tool doesn't measure correctly
So, I went to measure a dieline with the Dimension tool and it measured 9". However, when i selected the dieline and went to the Properties it said it was 8.5". When I actually printed it out and measured it, it was 8.5". This tool is not working correctly. See attached images for further explanation/verification.
Maybe I am doing something wrong? Can't figure out what that would be though. Thank you for looking into this!
1 voteThe problem was in the '0' picked as the Precision value in Dimension Tool Options instead of default '0.00'. If you have this value changed by itself, without you ever changing it manually — please comment.

Rotating with Shift held doesn't rotate precisely at 180 degrees

Holding down shift while rotating an object "180deg" doesn't actually rotate it 180deg. It's maybe 179deg, which is a major problem.

Trace Tool doesn't work after installing update 28.4.1
Trace tool freezes and then shuts down illustrator after installing update 28.4.1 and it takes Illustrator a long time to open up saved work

Mockup (Beta) in Illustrator not working due to PARM error
I am trying to use the Mockup (Beta) tool, and every time i get the "the operation cannot complete because of an unknown error [PARM]" message and the action cancels.
I'm attempting to mockup using a compound path and a png. I've updated and reinstalled both the app and the mockup installer. I've also tried using the newest and previous versions of Illustrator. I've also removed my preferences and still no luck.
Any ideas? I've used Mockup on this computer multiple times without error.
