Curvature tool has a mind of its own!
Curvature Tool makes curved lines before using the handles...it thinks for itself - never used to be this way. The old way is the best - older versions before 2018 I believe.

New 2019 and 2020 illustrator versions include the line width in the object width. This screwsup my scaling. How do I turn this off ?

How to stop illustrator from smoothing scatter brush
Hello
I'm using Illustrator 2020 (24.0.1) on a macbook pro 2014.I'm having issues with the scatter brushes.
The lines that are drawn don't follow the curve that they're applied to.
They come out by segment, roughly following the curve.This issue has been already described in this adobe forum thread:

Math in Picas is Using Points not Picas
Document units set to picas. In width or height box on tool bar, enter "-3" and it subtracts 3 points. I expect — as it has done since time and eternity — to subtract 3 picas. The number should be the whole version of the document units, not a fraction thereof.

Custoimised Brush stroke doesn't show
Using surface pen and customised brush doesn't show strokes until I let go off the pen or mouse. It only appears as red lines. Please fix it!

3D revolve doesn't draw properly
I drew half a star, tried to revolve it but it doesn't always layer and shade the different parts correctly. Sometimes a cone appears outside of it. Another example in this screenshot, where there's a line visible straight through it and the shading is wrong in the top part:

The fill of the object is not following the guide lines.
the fill of the object is not following the guide lines. It's seems to be the preview in illustrator because when I paste it in photoshop it displays correctly.

Make Compound Path not working
Make Compound Path no longer works. Make a box, rotate to make a diamond, make compound path, try to reduce the width. Doesn't work.

Stroke displaying incorrectly and offset path broken
In the first screenshot i show where i have duplicated an outlined letter R and rotated and it is rendering the stroke differently on both.
I have also had issues with using offset instead where the stroke is broken on some letters even though the path is closed, see other screenshot (Q).1 vote -
Modifier tool is lost when scaling with "~" key held down
Fills can be modified without changing geometry if the "~" key is pressed during the operation.
Previous versions (at up to AI CC 2015) allowed the scaling process to be repeated indefinitely until another tool was chosen. In AI CC 2019 the "Scale" tool switches to the Pen tool every time the Mouse is released. This is a huge pain and should be fixed!! Keep the modifier tool active until another tool is selected please.

Move tool direction is inverted
Out of nowhere the Move dialog box started acting the opposite way to what it is supposed to do.
According to Adobe Help- To move the object up or down, enter either a negative value (moves up) or positive value (moves down) in the Vertical text box.

But now a positive value in Y moves the object up in my installation as can be seen in the attachment. This is Illustrator 23.1.1 and Mac OS Mojave 10.14.6
I asked a friend running 23.0.3 and Mac OS Mojave 10.14.6 and it works as expected on his system.

eyedroper doesnt work anymore over symbols, neither bitmaps
In the past, eyedropper tool was working with symbol, right now completely ignores it and pick whatever object is behind.

Move window doesnt update with most current move value
When I drag an object with the selection tool that move used to be reflected when I opened the move dialogue. However now that dialogue gets stuck on a previous move unless I use the direct selection tool to move the object.
I am using the most current version of Illustrator CC on a 2013 Macbook running Catalina.

user defined brushes not available
Just updated to 23.1.1 and notice that my user defined brushes are not available (grayed out).

Rotate tool is acting strange
When using the rotate tool, the angle is in the dialog box (whatever I last used) is automatically applied to my object. If I just try to change the angle it applies that rotation to the new position (based on what I used last), rather than applying the new rotation from the original starting point. I can't even begin to explain what turning preview on and off does, so I included a short screen grab for you. Using Illy version 23.1.1, with MacOS Mojave 10.14.6. I also am using the entire sweet of Astute Graphics plugins.

Track type doesnt work after last update
Hi, our graphic studio has a client-a big financial institution, and his entire visual style is created in a special calligraphic track. After we installed the latest update there is a change within this track. When we click on the illustration/or change its color, the entire track changes and the original style is gone. The attributes of the original track remains the same but there is a change within the style, is looks totally different. Outlines of shapes under top shape showing through fill of top shape
Outlines of shapes underneath top shape are showing through though there is no transparency or opacity settings effected. Top shape is brought forward but it's acting like its transparent to outlines. (images showing problem and transparency settings attached)

Very glitchy Free Transform tool
This sure can't be right - I can't always get this to occur, but when it does happen, it's super annoying. When scaling using the Free Transform tool, there's this choppiness that doesn't allow me to control the scaling. Right now, my best work around is to enter dimension values in the Control Palette rather than use this tool at all. In the video the choppiness during the text object's decrease in size is where I'm undoing the scaling. I don't know if that helps, but maybe it will help to know that the choppy scaling is done in steps…
