I recently updated to AI v24.0 (High Sierra) and just started getting this message. VERY annoying.

My computer automatically updated to Illustrator 2020, and I received this same message. Now, whenever I go to export my file as a PDF, the colors in the PDF are completely different than what I have in my AI file. My client needs the file soon, and this is really stressing me out.

Add my name to the pile of people constantly getting this message with Illustrator 2020. Mac OS Mojave 10.14.6 I'm on Illustrator 24.0 No notices for further updates in my Creative Cloud application. If it helps my files are being mirrored with Time Machine.

This started happening yesterday or the day before maybe. It was after updating my CC apps to the latest 2020 release. I'm the only one accessing these files via Dropbox for business. Running macOS Catalina v10.15.1, iMac, 27 inch, late 2015)

But what do we do if we don't want to update to a cloud-based application such as Adobe Illustrator CC with the huge on-going expense that entails?

"This file has been modified outside Illustrator. Do you want to continue?" How do I make this go away. It just started randomly after I updated my CC illustrator for Mac yesterday.

I've had this happen, too, but I'm running ver CS5 on Windows 10. Watch out for changing the file name while the file is still open.

This is happening to us as of August 13 2019. Latest OSX release/updated, and CC/Illustrator 23.0.4. No iCloud saving. Files are saved/opened on a Windows Server 2016 file server. This JUST starting happening. No apparent changes whatsoever. Any ideas Adobe??

I had the exact same issue; I've always not used iCloud or DropBox on this particular Mac (10.13.6). I unchecked HandOff and made sure no files are linked to iCloud as Claudio Escobar but the pop-up persist. I then remove ICloud Device from Finder's Favorite then the pop-up goes away - not entirely sure why perhaps that has to do with the file system in 10.13.6.

I have the exact same issue as what Claudio Escobar mentioned below, must be a problem between Illustrator and iCloud backing up.

Problem persists on the latest build. Very annoying. Interesting observation from Claudio Escobar (June 9) below, maybe you should read it Abode?

I'm using CS6 with High Sierra and Dropbox. All files result in this alert when saving. How is updating the software a fix??? Please tell us why it is happening.

The whole point of this subscription model is that you'll be able to fix things more efficiently. Hard fail. -

Im Running Mac OS 10.13.5 and Illustrator 21.1.0 - This problems seems to happen when I save the file to an iCloud folder on my hard drive, as soon as I re saved the same file to another folder that is not related to iCloud the problem went away.
