Why is this issue still existant with the next two versions? I'm running into this same issue in 2020.

I'm not sure why, but this problem was fixed after a later reboot. I closed all of my apps, turned my computer off and waited a while. After rebooting, I no longer had the issue. I'll post again if it recurs.

I Think they are the two most important function for .a professionist and at the Adobe they don't undestand it

Same issue just happened to me. Ugh! Spacebar shortcut stopped working.
I can't figure out how to get it back. Restarting Illustrator doesn't help. Restarting Chrome doesn't help. Catalina 15.2. Illustrator 24.01

Restarting doesn't fix the problem for me. Also the quick magnifying glass keyboard commands have stopped working as well. This issue needs to be fixed ASAP!

When is this going to be fixed?

Is there still no fix for this? I have to restart my computer at least twice a day thanks to this bug.

SIMILARLY FOR PHOTOSHOP, HALF THE SHORTCUTS ARE FUNCTIONAL AS PER THEIR WHIMS! SINCE THE TIME I HAVE UPGRADED ILLUSTRATOR , IT HAS STOPPED WORKING! IT WORKS AS PER ITS NEED AND WISH.

I have the same issue except it's not working ever.

Same problem happening in my Photoshop and Illustrator. Seems to be intermittent, happening on and off over the last few months. Chrome does not seem to be the problem for me. Any news on this Adobe? As others have said this is a major workflow problem. Mac Mojave with Wacom Intuos Pro.

closing chrome solved this for me, also. Illustrator 2020.

This issue is getting worse. Now the last tool used, remains the selected tool, no matter what keyboard shortcut I attempt to switch to. Even I try to switch tools with the Tool-bar, the tool won't switch, UNTIL I start closing browsers... usually closing Chrome fixes it.

This is why nobody wants to update ever, something is always messed up! Very disappointed because we all spend way too much for this to be happening.
