Moving objects - error message "can't move the object"
I'm working with vectors and type. Since the update to CC2018, at random moments and in multiple files, I'll select a vector object and select some text, then try to move them, and I'll receive the error message "Can't move the objects. The requested transformation would make some objects too large". The problem is going to force me to revert back to the 2017 version of Illustrator - please make sure this is fixed ASAP. See attached screen grab.
We have tried to fix the issue in the current release. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 22.1.
Please refer to our knowledge base FAQ – https://illustrator.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/1844590 if you face difficulty in the update.
Warm Regards,

PS: We are only referring to the issue that got introduced in CC 2018. As I can see there were few workflows that were existing even in older releases. Please log a separate request for it so that we all can track it better

I have found that is a result of maybe one vertex that is outside of the master artboard. I would do a path cleanup to remove stray vertex or scale your project. change the document rasterization to 300dpi or more.

Adding that I have confirmed this issue is happening to all the users of our design team.

I recently downloaded the Updated 2018 Illustrator, ever since then I cannot move artwork groups containing guides without adjusting them first.
I work in the sublimated apparel industry so most often these groups our the company's logo (less than 2x2") and the guides for the logo placement on the artwork.
Now when trying to move a group like this I receive the error pop-up saying "Can't move the objects. The requested transformation would make some objects too large."
To remedy this I have to zoom all the way out and move the end points of the guides away from the edges of the work area so that I can move/rotate the group as needed. Even though Illustrator automatically makes the guides the entire height/width of the work area.
I have experienced frequently in the past a similar error message when trying to move clipping masks that contain artwork that would go outside the bounds of the work area (which is also insanely inconvenient), but I had never experienced it before when trying to move guides.
Is this an issue being worked on?
Please advise!
Also, why is it necessary to have a constrained work area?
Thank you! -

We should be able to paste anything, anywhere, anytime without illustrator popping up some dumb message about elements being outside the pasteboard, or my fave "The Requested Transformation Would Make Some Objects Too Large" WTF? If I want to make it larger, I should be able to. When large elements need to be placed, it shouldn't be any problem. I have a > 200" image I need to cut into four parts to place on press sheets, and I shouldn't have to go into Photoshop & chop it up just because Illustrator can't handle it.

I've had this one on previous versions. Figured out that it was the result of erasing a guide with the direct selection tool, which leaves the invisible "end point" in the document. If that guide was part of a group it can cause problems. Try clearing the guides.

Duplicating object, guide (via ALT+click & drag) prompts error dialogue "Can't move the objects. The requested transformation would make some objects too large." In the image, I was attempting to duplicate a selection of two horizontal guides and a group of objects by selecting the aforementioned ALT+click+shift and drag. Doing such prompts the error dialogue. If I attempt the same routine with only 1 guide selected, it works. The group and 1 guide works. 2 guides and the group doesn't work.
