Still not able to paste (Cmd + V) text when creating a new folder in Save As / Save a Copy / Export As dialog box in Ai 2020
In the latest update the copy and paste option is fixed when trying to do it in the save as dialog box. But if I try to create a new folder with the save as dialog box open I still cannot cmd+v to paste text into the field.
This issue was reintroduced in MacOS update Ventura. The team ran into another issue while implementing the workaround suggested by Apple. While the team revisits this issue, users can use workaround this issues by paste through context menu. Thank you all for the patience.

When Saving of Exporting a file and creating a new folder in its destination pasting text in the foldername field is not possible. This used to work but this got lost somewhere down the line.
It does work in other Adobe software like Photoshop and InDesign. Please fix this as it is getting quite annoying.

Guilherme - It works fine in the other CC apps, but I'm with you and everyone else with Illustrator: it hasn't worked for over 3 years. Such a small thing, but such a huge pain in the butt. How can this not be a simple fix? I suppose Adobe just doesn't care.

Guilherme commented
For sure. I've never had this same issue with the other apps. illustrator only. for you, does it work well?

Why is this STILL an issue, 3 years on, when the other apps have it sorted out? Do your people not talk to each other?? It's fine now in Photoshop and InDesign. What's the problem with Illustrator? This is maddening.
