Myriad Pro Condensed text disappears
I opened up an Illustrator file that I update yearly. The text is all in Myriad Pro, in a variety of styles. The section of text that was in Myriad Pro Condensed completely disappeared. The text line was still there, but when I typed nothing appeared. Changed the style to any other style (regular, bold, bold condensed and I can type it in, but if I change it back to condensed it disappears again.

I have had a similar issue. I opened an older file and wanted to make sure I cleaned it up and organized the layers before handing it off to a translater. When I opened the file everything in Myriad Pro Condensed was missing. If I changed to condensed italic it appeared. I thought this must be an issue with the older file, so I created a new file, made a text box, selected Myriad Pro Condensed and the same issue occurred. I had to rework the whole project with condensed semibold and condensed black using tighter tracking. It took me a few hours when it should've taken me a few minutes.
I've attached screenshots of what the issue looked like. -

Additional comments to Myriad font not functioning as expected: I recently went to Adobe Fonts and ensured that all Myriad fonts were active/enabled and then rebooted my computer.
I then opened up Suitcase Fusion and ensured all Myriad fonts in my Suitcase Fusion Font Library (my personal library) were deactivated and ensured all Myriad fonts in Third-Party Fonts/Adobe Fonts were activated permanently - refer to accompanying image (far-right panel).
I then opened up Bridge and highlighted a packaging file that clearly shows Myriad text (far-left panel).
Next, I opened the file in Illustrator and was faced with the same issue, Myriad Pro Condensed was garbled and some text is invisible but still selectable. When I use the text tool and hover over other Myriad Pro fonts the text updates as expected, there seems to be something wrong with the condensed version.
I am not looking forward to revisiting files that use Myriad Pro Condensed (and likely other weights that behave buggy) to adjust packaging layouts ... hours will be wasted!
Any ideas Adobe support on how to fix this (and why did this happen)?

Continuing to add to my previous comment since I don't see how to upload additional images:
I also use Suitcase Fusion and have Myriad Pro both in My Library and Adobe Fonts. I have enabled activation in My Library and deactivated in Adobe Fonts (and vice versa) and this issue is still not corrected.
Furthermore, Myriad Pro Condensed, even though activated, doesn't even appear in Photoshop's font list, why? Back in Illustrator, if I create a new text block and use Myriad Pro Condensed (and likely some other weights) the text is created but invisible.
There is clearly something wrong, and recently so, with Myriad Pro and how software treats it.
Adobe support, any insight into this issue?

I also experience this issue. I have many packaging files that have used the Myriad Pro typeface and the two fonts that always disappear are Myriad Pro Condensed and Myriad Pro Regular - most of the other fonts in this family appear as expected.
Like the other user has indicated, the text in Myriad Pro Condensed is still there, it just isn't visible, it can be selected and changed but going through documents to troubleshoot and change layouts that used Myriad Pro (with layouts changing to using another font) would require days of work.
I thought Adobe products were supposed to make us more efficient, not cause users to spend additional hours cleaning up past work in order for it to function correctly with new Adobe updates.
You'll notice in the attached image, far-left, the Nutrition Facts panel has missing Myriad Pro.
