Compound paths not saving
When I make an object a compound path and then save as an SVG, when I go to open the file again, all of the compound paths have reverted to paths. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, I've tried an earlier version, I've done everything I can think of and still my SVG files will not retain compound paths. I'm using an M1 MacBook Pro, AI v27.2
1 voteIn SVG 'compound paths' are required to have at least two sub-paths (https://www.w3.org/TR/SVG/paths.html). If a shape doesn’t have any holes, it gets saved as an ordinary single path, according the specification, since no sub-paths are presented, ands gets read back as a non-compound paths. Shapes with proper holes are kept as compound paths.

Arrow keys cancel file saving
Illustrator v. 26.3.1 on 16 inch, 2021 M1 MBP running MacOS Ventura(13.0.1).
When I save a file, I typically arrow over to the end of the autofilled filename to remove the end of it and add what I want to add per my file naming system. However, when I press any arrow key on my keyboard, the "save file" dialogue box closes, and I have to initiate the process over again. No other keys cause this issue to occur, only the arrow keys. Illustrator not saving properly
Saving our work is a MAJOR issue! Since updating, I'm having different ones. Sometimes when I command/save, then reopen that file, the last change I made is gone. Now, when I do a save as, Illustrator only saves part of the file name I typed in..
Attached are screen shots showing the file name I try to save it as, and the incorrect file name it saves as.
WTF is up with this stuff? I'm no programmer, but how is it that major bugs like this come up with every new version? I am spending more time working around Adobe…

Multiple import of SVG doesn't include filters. Only the first file opened includes filters.
Situation: I have 2 SVGs I want to import into Ai.
I import the first one and the SVG Filter Effects are applied as expected.
Then, when I open the second SVG, Ai just completely ignores the SVG effects.It's a simple bug which probably should have a simple fix.

SVG - save as in illustrator version 27.0.1 - moving objects off artboard sporadically
The latest version seems to not be playing well with SVG formats. I have reverted back to 26.5.2 and the issue resolved itself.
When saving an SVG, everything looks fine. When it is opened again, all the of the objects are sporadically distributed on and off of the artboard. I have never seen this issue before and my save settings are the same.1 vote -
save dialog not appearing when trying to save newly created file windows 10 64bit regarding Illustrator 27.0
Like many others, when I create a new file, draw something and try to save, save as or export the newly created file, Illustrator does not display the save dialog box.
I have discovered that if I open up a file created previously, it will save without issues.
Since discovering this, to get it to save the new content, I needed to open up an old file, delete contents, draw new content and Save As a new name.Although this method works, the issues remain, I have now rolled back from the latest update to 26.5.1 and the issue is…

Files not replacing the original
when doing 'Save as' with the same file name, illustrator instead adds '-01' to the file name and makes a second copy - it never used to, and isn't of any use as a feature. Please fix.

Export for Screens mess up Blacks when exporting PDFs
When using Export for Screen to Export PDFs, the blacks are messed up.
Attached, you see a picture of the two PDFs opened in Edge. The left one is saved with "Save a Copy…” command. Right one is exported with Export for Screens utility.
All the blacks in AI file are 100K. For some reason, Export for Screen mess them up. The right one.
Every time I open Illustrator, half of my workday goes in debugging this kind of annoying things. I so much hate Illustrator.

SVG doesn't save unless move
This bug has been around a while - SVG images won't save unless some part of it is moved. If it isn't moved, it treats it like nothing was ever changed and doesn't save, even when closing the tab without saving, the dialog box doesn't appear. This is annoying, since I often change just the colour of an icon, and have to move the icon a bit, just to get it to save.

Ich arbeite mit verschiedenen Vektorprogrammen, wobei mir AI als Start und Finalbearbeitungsprogramm dient. Normalerweise öffne ich Dateien in AI und transferiere sie dann per CopyPaste in andere Vektorprogramme, hier z.B. Freehand. Dabei kopiere ich Vektorgrafiken.
Seit ein paar Tagen funktioniert dies nicht mehr. In der Zielsoftware erscheint statt der Vektorgrafik eine Pixelgrafik. Was muss ich in den Einstellungen ändern, damit ich die Vektoren transferieren kann? Oder muss ich eine ältere Version von AI installieren?

Export window won't appear on screen, except for a few options, but they don't work
When selecting Export, the box won't show, but some options do. These options showing won't work by clicking on them or via keyboard.
Sometimes the Export box appear if I change between Desktops or screens.

He realizado un diseño en Adobe Illustrator 2022 y luego de guardarlo y cerrarlo lo intento abrir y por mas que intento no abre, el programa se queda cargando un poco y luego se cierra automaticamente. No me abre, el archivo es un poco pesado y tardaría pero igualmente deberia abrir. He estado con soporte y aun así no han conseguido el error.

SVG export from Indesign PDF not cropping to artwork
Part of my team's workflow involves exporting a PDF from Indesign 2021 (Mac) and then converting to SVG via Illustrator "Export As…" with "Artboards" unchecked. Illustrator 2021 and prior versions cropped the SVG export to the artwork, which is what we want. Illustrator 2022 and 2023 always crop to the artboard, even when it's unchecked.
What appears to be happening is that the Indesign pdf has a page sized clipping path which Illustrator used to ignore, but no longer does. I'm not sure if it's a bug or a feature, but we really need it to go back to the…

Not saving changes for transparency.
I am using latest Illustrator 2023 on Windows 11 22H2, after changing transparency of any object / text when i save file it saves but when i open again it's actually not saved (only transparency setting) rest all changes are saved (video attached) to get idea but don't know why it's not showing menu in video, but you will get what i mean.

複数のアートボードを作成し、「書き出し形式」より、「アートボードごとに作成」にチェックを入れ、pngファイルとして書き出ししました。
ドキュメントで裁ち落としが設定されているにもかかわらず、裁ち落としが反映されませんでした。1 vote

problem with save file to PDF
when trying to save file to PDF it gives an error and also sometimes we don't see the text box with the save or other things at all
we use version 26.5 with windows 11Home version 21H2 build 22000.978 ( X64 , 64bit )
