  1. Scaling with the Selection Tool

    I can't seem to use the black arrow tool to scale objects anymore?? Anyone else having the same issue? I've checked a number of different forum boards, but no one seems to be having the same issue. Any help?

  2. Illustrator CC18 is alwais, yet, unusable with Hight Sierra !!?

    I have read many posts on bugs, I read that many problems have been solved. it does not work for me at all.

    please find real solution

    these the problems with illustrator
    - the program is very very slow, almost still
    - the pointer selects paths of objects without a voluntary action
    - the pointer makes endless selections on the sheet
    - the top menu does not respond or does so after many attempts
    - almost impossible to open color setting panels
    - very slow response keyboard functions (eg show as a path)
    - unusable
    - function block even if…

  4. 3d extrude and bevel problem

  5. Jpg Image Won't Place in Illustrator 22.1

    I'm using a MacBook Pro Mid 2012. I've updated all of my apps. For some reason my JPG image won't place in Illustrator 22.1

  6. Flickering cursor icon and Unresponsiveness (High Sierra 10.13.4)

    Got a new Mac running 10.13.4, installed adobe CC completely fresh. Illustrator is very slow, often comes to a complete stall / irresponsive, and I have to constantly restart the application. And even after the restart, it is still very slow. I turned off everything, including the GPU performance and other things it didn't help at all. The cursor flickers for several tools. It has become very unuseable and drag the time I normally would be able to finish a project by 2x at least.

    Can you please check if Dictation is on your MAC. We are aware of an issue where Dictation software was interfering.
    If this does not work, please get in touch with us at any of the other support channels – https://helpx.adobe.com/support.html . Since this is not a generic issue that we can reproduce at our end, we will need someone to look into your machine to figure out what is going on here.

  7. Screen flashes with large slice in screen

    I am using Adobe Illustrator CC version 22.1. I open a new document, and no matter what the content, the screen flashes in and out and then a large triangle shaped slice appears in the screen. I cannot use Illustrator at this point. This program costs way too much money for this. Please see attached.

  8. Slow on iMac

    I have just bought a new iMac Retina 5K 27-inch (2017) with i5 3,4 processor, 16 gb of Ram, Raedon Pro 570 with 4 GB.

    Illustrator is very very slow... the files I have are simple vector only with no effects and simple paths. The files are local.

    I have a low spec 5 year old pc laptop, the files run better on that...
    Please help!

  9. Release Layers (sequence)

    When the groups are released into layers I have to specifically deselect any object that I have selected in that layer. If not and I want to simply select the next group or object to continue the same procedure, that layer which I have just released and has an item selected will keep popping open even if I close it specifically. Every time I click on a different object or group in the layers panel that last released one will open up, and in my case it contains a looooot of objects.

    Also, as mentioned before, sometimes it seems not…

  12. Shortcut cmd + ; = Hide Guides

    cmd + ; = Hide Guides

    Instead of hiding guides, I get Preference window with Units. Is it because of the Danish keyboard? (I don't know how it works) How do I fix this?

  13. Cannot turn on GPU performance, NVIDIA card

    Cannot turn on GPU performance on Nvidia card
    My card: Nvidia gt 610m, before illustrator can turn on GPU performance but now I can't. I had to try reinstall app and driver Nvidia, update windows but nothing.

  14. Consistent repeat crashes

    Consistent repeat crashes. I'm on a MAC High Sierra. I know my Illustrator 21.1 will at least crash around 10am and 3pm EVERYDAY. It goes through phases where it will crash 4 times a day.

    I am merely opening an Illustrator file from my desktop or in a folder on my desktop that is 1mb -5mb most times when this happens. When clicking on the file and waiting for this small file to open and nothing happens I realize that it's locked up.

    I check the task manager and sure enough it's not responding and I have to force quit…

  15. Placed .tiff file making vector image disappear

    In my line of work we have "distresses" that we place over the vector image that we've created. The distresses are .tiff files and with the last update have began making the vector image disappear. When printed everything is fine. However most of the time we also have to export as a .png to send our customers a proof and we have to export several times before getting a .png we can use.

  16. Object > Expand = Crash

    I have the most updated version of Illustrator CC - whenever I use the expand tool, illustrator crashes.

    I've reinstalled, restarted my computer - can't seem to figure it out.

  17. type/color changes having difficulty taking

    v.22.0.1 64-bit on win 10
    never had these issues before today, but basically some changes are selectively not taking, are reverting back to previous. 2 examples:

    1. changed type font from Clyburn to Hummingbird (from Tk), change takes, saved work, then went to move type and reverts to Clyburn. so copied layer with Hummingbird, locked it, hid it, then made change, still switched back. closed/rebooted Illustrator, was back in Clyburn. however, made change and it finally took, however could not change between Hummingbird Regular and Bold.

    2. working with ellipses in a logo in CMYK. placed ellipse with gradient stroke. copied layer,…

  18. anchor point and handle display - no visible difference on screen

    With CC 2018 update there is NO visible difference with ANY of the 3 options of the ANCHOR POINT AND HANDLE DISPLAY dialog in preferences.

    THEY ALL LOOK EXACTLY THE SAME ON THE SCREEN!!!!!

  20. Illustrator 2018 not working

    Illustrator 2018 is not working. How can I downgrade to 2017?
    The whole artboard is flashing everytime I move the mouse. The rulers are flashing. Portions of the vectors are just disappearing. I have rebooted my computer twice. Illustrator 2018 is not working.
