  1. Text becomes impossible to edit after several minutes of having the program open

    Working on macOS Mojave 10.14.5 and Illustrator 23.0.4.

    After working in the program for a few minutes, transform controls no longer appear around text boxes when selected (show transform controls does not fix the issue). Text attributes are then buggy when applied (tracking will not apply to selected word, can't change font). Shortly after, I can no longer select text boxes at all.

    I'm a graphic designer and this issue is hurting my productivity greatly. Please provide a solution!

  3. "Recent files" shows the thumbnail of a password protected PDF file.

    I expect to not see the thumbnail of a password protected file. Maybe just have a lock image like in the OS?

  4. File open error message

    This bug recently started happening when I first open Illustrator, then open first file. This message pops up twice. After that, the file will open without a problem, and Illustrator will work without a problem. Subsequent files will open without a problem. If I close and restart Illustrator, the bug happens again in the same way.

  5. Moving artwork generates copies along its path

    After spending hours on a logo design, I selected all of the art, resized it to fit the canvas, and then moved it over a few spaces to the right. When moving the artwork to the right, illustrator began to generate copies of the art every time I tapped the right arrow key. This mass copying then made the application crash. I am able to open the file but my layers now have hundreds of sublayers in each of them!

    I have used illustrator for years and never seen this before.

    I am running on Windows 10

    Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770…

  6. Transparency / Swatches

    Quando a janela de Transparency está sobre a janela de Swatches e eu clico, se estiver sobre uma cor, um único click é como se fossem dois. Acaba trocando a cor do objeto que estiver selecionado.

  7. Adobe Stock keeps crashing.

    Adobe Stock keeps crashing. I have not been able to use at all. I am testing AI and PS but when I select to search for a template it directs to me to this website, but when you click on a template it stops working and eventually crashes.

  9. Latest version of ILLUSTRATOR will not open How do I download previous version

    I can't get latest version of Illustrator 2019 to open up and function. I keep getting this) There is not enough memory to ... appearance of an object. . I had nothing but problems with the latest upgrade when I installed it back in Jan. I got same dialogue (appearance of object) So I reinstalled the previous or older version and it worked fine. A month ago I installed new version with more bells and whistles and now nothing but crashes. Unfortunately I uninstalled older version so it's not on computer. How do I reinstall it?     In addition to the JPEG issue, there is the problem that vector files are often almost 10x the size as exactly the same file in CS6.

    I reported this over a year ago.

  12. viewing at different magnifications

    Not clear what category this falls into.

    Problems new to CC:

    When zooming-in incrementally (command-spacebar, click), Illustrator frequently "jumps" straight to maximum magnification, forcing me to have to "zoom" back out to the desired magnification or even just to get my bearings and figure out where in the document I am.

    This is very disorienting, and frustrating and bad for productivity.

    Another issue, is that above a certain level of magnification, the object's center point vanishes, which is an issue if that's what you are trying to zoom-in on.

    This seems mostly to happen in artwork mode.

  13. "QuickDraw" (artwork/preview) malfunctions

    Not clear this is actually GPU-related.
    This bug dates back 32 years, all the way to Illustrator 1.0, when Adobe used the term "QuickDraw" to describe it. Terminology has changed, the bug has not. It has happened on every version of Illustrator, on every Mac, under every operating system.
    I've sent the attached screenshots and videos in the past, no response.
    The bug manifests as stray lines or incorrect vectors at certain seemingly-random resolutions.
    In preview mode, in addition to above problems, (possibly a different bug), I often get sectors or areas that do not fill or redraw correctly. Sometimes…

  14. Corner Radius / Scaling instead of select and drag

    In previous versions of Illustrator dating back 30 years, I used to be able to group-select entire object, option-select an anchor point, and reposition the selected object by dragging it to a new place.
    Now it has become hit-and-miss, usually I end up accidently radiusing corners or resizing the item, and having to undo and try again, often several times.

  15. Wrong description label in layer window

    Hello,
    the description of the label from the screenshot is wrong on Mac Version, STRG + (CTRL + in english versions) is false, that's the the label for the Windows version. Correct is: Befehl + (cmd + in english version)

  16. File Names Fail To Save with Fullstops

    If a file name, entered in the New Document modal, has fullstops in the name in the beginning of the string, for example, a date " 19.07.11 Web Banner.ai " the user will find, when they go to save the file that the filename will not be saved as it was entered.

    No characters after the 2nd full stop will be shown, forcing the user to type out the entire string again.

  17. Color Fill Bug

    Hello! Yesterday, I finished drawing a comic. I was supposed to color it in, but the color fill was not working on anything on the drawing. I tested using the fill color on a separate drawing and it worked. It’s only this one drawing that can’t be colored using fill at all.

    I do the press and hold technique to color. My iPad Pro is version 12.3.1 and is up to date.

    Update: It’s gotten a little better. I can only color small objects but that’s it.

  18. Adobe Illustrator 2019

    My adobe illustrator 2019 keeps crashing every 10/15 minutes. I tried closing out of my other windows and just running that program by itself and it still crashed every 10/15 minutes. It is very frustrating when I am working on something and have to re-open up the program. Thank you in advance for the assistance.
