  1. EVERYTHING Vanished

    I was simply working on a design today, then all of the sudden, a small popup flashed at the top of the screen and then went away immediately. BOOM, Every single file that has anything to do with that piece of work vanished completely off my computer. The original picture (.jpg) and my recent saves (.pdf and .ai) are nowhere on my computer.

  6. Intro screen icons are not aligned

    1. The latest version of Illustrator
    2. On MacBook Pro 15" icons on launch/intro screen icons that belong to the sizes are not aligned. Should be aligned I guess. With a new update 2020 still the same issue.

  7. automatic page zoom after hiding Illustrator

    Mac OS 10.15.5
    Driver[0] Name: AMD Radeon Pro 580X OpenGL Engine
    OpenGL Version: 4.1 ATI-3.9.15
    Illustrator Version: 24.1.3

    I frequently hide Illustrator with cmd-H keyboard shortcut.
    I kept noticing the system chime when returning to Illustrator.
    I recently noticed the zoom entry at the lower left corner was highlighted when returning.
    I don't think this should be highlighted, waiting for me to type a zoom percentage when I come back to Illustrator. The chime is for an incorrect entry.

  9. Illustrator doesn't wokt

    Hello,

    1. i7, 16gb ram, windows 10.
    2. when i open illustrator this happens. it doesn't work. I tried reinstalling. Still no succes.

  10. drop down boxes appear off screen - instead of simply dropping down.

    I encounter and issue in illustrator where my drop-down menus appear either on the left of my screen or in the case of the Variable Width Profile opens at the bottom of my screen, (outside of illustrator) and won't allow me to select the profile I would prefer. It's a floating box but it won't allow me to move it. I have a similar issue in Premier as well. I don't have this issue in PS, so it appears as exlcusive to illustrator.

  11. Cannot print A3 at 100%

    From my Mac running 10.15.4, A3 will not print correctly to my Epson WF 7720. No scaling is applied - it's at 100% both in the driver dialog and Illustrator itself - but the prints are coming out at 97.2% of what they should be.

    8.5 x 11 prints work fine, and the same document prints correctly at A3 from within Inkscape.

  12. Random bug of unselected object frame, from locked layer, visible even though not selected

    Only way to remove the frame is to shut the file down and then reopen. Unable to take a screen shot as the frame disappears when taking it.

  13. Wrong rendering of mesh shades in Illustrator 2020

    When opening an Illu 2019 File in Illu 2020 I get wrong rendering results. We tried to reproduce the problem on several machines and it happens ewerywhere.

    We are a production company with prepress repro team. Since we dont know, when the problem can occur, we are not able to use 2020 all the time.

    Please find attached a sample illustrator file and screenshots from Illustrator 2019 and 2020.

    I hope, you can find the bug and update the Illustrator 2020.

  14. Chess like structure

    While I am working on my projects a chess board like structure is appearing of no where.

    1 - Microsoft Surface Pro 4 - Windows 10 - Adobe Illustrator 24.2.1
    2- while using curving Pen tool.
    3- I want it to stop disappear tried restart application.

  16. Values of artboard differes from the values on control panel in artboard mode

    1. Create big artboard 5 meter in Normal Mode
    2. Activate Increase Cavas Mode
    3. Activate artboard mode
    4. Enlarge artboard up to maximal size 57 meter with dragging handels
    5. The values in control panel are in METERS while in properties panel they are in INCH

    Expected result: The must be in the same measuraments value. In METRS as I have choose METERS

    It happens when I create artbord after first run.

  17. unfilled Objects not Overlapping properly in Adobe Illustrator 2020(24.0.1)

    In Adobe Illustrator 2020 v. 24.0.1, my shapes are not overlapping properly, When I overlap two different objects the overlapping area of behind object is not hiding, kindly help, I am stuck.

  18. Scissor Tool not working

    The scissor tool doesn't divide a path. Trying to cut a circle that was created. even when enlarged to 600% I keep getting the error, "Please use the scissors tool on a segment or an anchor point (but not the endpoint of a path".

  19. Illustrator won't open .AI or Jpg files

    Hi,

    I'm currently using Intel Core i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz on Windows 10 with version 24.1.2 of Illustrator.

    I only started using software today (so i'm very much a beginner) and I have gone to open .ai and .jpeg but a tab pops up stating 'the file "abc" is an unknown format and cannot be opened'.

    Can you help me fix this please.

    I can't find any answers anywhere.

  20. Arc Warp Effect with Unexpected Results (Combined with Masks)

    When applying an arc effect shouldn't the mask dictate how the arc effect works and not the larger contents of the mask?

    The results I am getting now appear to be possibly impacted by the larger/complex contents of the mask.

    I have used a larger arc amount of 15% in the images below to exaggerate the difference I am seeing between the simplified design/mask and the second design with a larger pattern inside the mask.

    Is this working as intended or is this an issue?
