Copying text inside a symbol group copies all text in that symbol to the clipboard
When I copy selected text inside a symbol it copies ALL the text in that symbol. It doesn't matter if the text is in the same instance or in a completely different one. If it is text and inside the symbol it will get copied. When I then paste the text that I think I copied it pastes everything.

duplicated drawings when saving or exporting
On AI CC 2019, when I save file for laser cutting machine compatibility, i.e. as a previous version or PDF format, it appears that my drawing is duplicated on itself (as if I did copy then paste in front). That never happened with AI CC 2018.
Any idea?

Paste in Front/Back should override Paste remembers layers option
The layer from which an object is copied is used for the pasted object even when using the Paste in Front/Back command. This is counterintuitive and the command should override the option.

New Document Delay
When creating FILE > New… the 'New Document' pop-up appears immediately, but it's blank and the content/fields don't display for a good 7-8 seconds later.
I expect this to be visible immediately. I know there was a similar issue in Photoshop CC that you could avoid by using a legacy New Doc preferences.

Long delay before PDF dialog when large images present
It seems that when there are any large linked images present, Illustrator locks up for several seconds or more before the Save Adobe PDF dialog appears. Often the delay is long enough that I end up switching to another task while I wait.
This never used to happen in previous versions — I believe the problem started with an update in late 2018 or early 2019. Based on the delay before the dialog appears, it seems like Illustrator might be refreshing/re-reading the images in the background, because the delay seems to increase with more/larger images.
All my working files are saved on a very fast NAS, so I tested my theory by watching the performance tab in Windows Task Manager. Sure enough, ethernet spikes while Illustrator locks up. However, I don't think this problem is related to the files being loaded/saved over ethernet, because I often experience the same delay on my Mac at home when saving PDF files from Illustrator. On my Mac, all working files are saved on my internal SSD, yet I still get the same long delay when large images are present.

Transform Each for groups
Transform Each currently rotates multiple groups around a common center point, counter intuitive to what the name implies. Does what the name says when used on vectors.

Make it usable on ipad - Draw is extremely inferior
Adobe Draw is an inferior product to Illustrator. The promise of creating vector art and moving it to Illustrator only works about half the time and you do not have the ability to interact (select manipulate etc) individual objects. I am sure that it is complicated to make a desktop software work on an ipad but honestly, I am a bit confused as to why this does not exist. My computer has way less space than my ipad pro. It also allows me to plug a tablet in and use a stylus throughout illustrator to do whatever I want. I don't understand why this is not translateable to an app on the ipad where I use my stylus directly on the screen other than there is probably some money somewhere to be made by someone. Please make it easier for designers to use your products with the best tools on the market. Thanks.

Issues running Illustrator 23.0.4 and OS Mojave 10.14.5 on a Mac
- Every time I move the cursor, instead of moving it it acts as if I had clicked and dragged, selecting an imaginary area.
- When I try to select an item, the cursor will not do it, so I click twice, then three times, and then - it finally selects, and sometimes catches up with a delay, clicking the second and third time and mucking the selection. I have reinstalled illustrator and went to the apple store to reinstall the OS, with no resolution. The system runs ok with other applications, shows issues with Photoshop as well and is slows when Adobe apps are running. These issues make it impossible to work.

Data Recovery
There's a weird glitch happening where it's like 'recovering data' ONLY once I start typing - and it keeps inserting an image I have previously deleted.
It's also giving me warnings when I open the document about it - I've tried 'ignore' I've tried to replace the file. Nothing makes a difference, it keeps randomly inserting the image again when I type.
I tried setting it aside, thinking it would only do it once... no, it will keep inserting more and more if I keep typing.

Double-click open ai file results in error but dragging in works
When in Windows Explorer I double-click to open the ai file but results in error: "Illustrator can't open the illustration. There is not enough room for the window..."
However when I drag and drop the file into Illustrator it opens no problem.
This error started happening in the last few days.
Please advise.

Numeric Entry into Control bar measurements sometimes trigger move dialogue instead of behaving correctly
macOS Mojave 10.14.4
Illustrator 23.0.4 and also previous versions
On the control bar I type a numeric entry in the object's width field, expecting to enter the width in the field on hitting enter.
Instead the Move dialogue opens on hitting enter. (this result also intermittently happens with other numeric fields in the control bar).

Panels float on top until I click them
Sometimes all panels get "always on top'' state. To change this, you need to mouse click each panel.

Buggy lines from tool windows
When I expand some tool windows to the work area the drop shadow from the window remains when the window is closed. This shadow is persistent when I close Illustrator and it is seen over all programs and desktop. It even persists when I restart explorer.
The only pattern I seem to find is that it only appears with the toolwindows popping up from the "More options" buttons.
Is it possible this is problem with Illustrator itself of should I search elsewhere for a solution? I have never had this problem before with any other software after year and years of running this set-up. It has only, and still only, appeared when using illustrator.

Improve Large Complex File Handling
Performance with large files is sluggish & frequently enters the "Not Responding" state. This wastes my time & causes frustration. Files with this behavior include those with many linked or embedded images or complex vector graphics such as expanded brush strokes. However, I cannot find an explanation for this slowness. During these periods, my total RAM usage does not go above 40% & CPU usage does not go above 20%. GPU usage spikes to 100% occasionally but quickly returns to near 0% so this does not seem to be the cause. Opening & saving files takes a very long time & I have a NVMe SSD. Photoshop seems to handle large complex files like a champ & uses more RAM. I could be wrong, but it seems like hardware is being ineffectively utilized somewhere in AI. My best guess as to the cause is that AI is frequently reading data from the scratch disk or file instead of loading it into RAM & reading from that or that it is not parallelized to use multiple CPU threads. I don't perceive a difference between compressing or not compressing the file (in the AI save options). Hopefully this can be improved or I can learn what the bottleneck is.
