The day has come. The latest 30.5.0.102 Beta adds Align To and Distribute Spacing commands into the Object menu.
These also work in actions, can get hotkeys assigned.
A shy message gets displayed when Align To mode is toggled to be sure it’s switched, and the Distribute Spacing dialog allows the set the gap value with the Preview option.
This is a lot, and it now completes the original request.
Please try, test, comment back, have joy!

Is this only a translation problem, or also a missing swatch in just the Dutch version?

Illustrator native has the "round corners effect" which, to me, seems to do what you're asking for.

You can also select any object which has gradient applied and add that gradient to CC Library through Add Elements from the Libraries panel and choose Fill Gradient from the drop-down menu.

Adobe Illustrator's Multithreading Journey Begins!
Dear Illustrator Community,
I'm thrilled to announce that we've embarked on an exciting journey to bring multithreading capabilities to Adobe Illustrator. This significant undertaking will enhance performance and responsiveness across various aspects of the application.
While this is a complex process that will take some time to fully implement, I wanted to share our progress so far.
Our Approach
We've strategically begun by focusing on the most computationally intensive operations—those that typically take more time and block the main thread, resulting in slower response times while you work. By moving these operations to separate threads, we aim to significantly improve your overall experience with Illustrator.
It's important to note that you may see more noticeable impact in some areas than others initially. However, we want to assure you that this is just the beginning, and we will continue this journey to bring improvements across…

This is madness :)
But in case you want an in-between solution, run this:It looks for illustrator's foremost open document, and reveals it in the finder.

Please also do “smart” alignment dependent on the amount of objects selected.
One object can only be aligned to the artboard.
Two selected objects should default to aligning to each other.
I have configured them with a modifier key to “always align to artboard” for when I have multiple objects selected.
While you’re at it: please also make a shortcut for “fill artboard” (on my Mac I have it set to Ctrl-F)
Thanks for looking at this! 👋🏻💪
PS: for alignment, use WASD as directions, and C for center please.
