  1. fsType not honored when exporting as PDF

    Hello,
    I've noticed the fsType value in the OS/2 table of OTF fonts is not honored by Indesign nor Illustrator.

    I've set the value of fsType to 0x0102 and this should prevent subsetting and embedding.
    However, Illustrator exports to pdf, embedding . Worst, it gives no warning the embedding/subsetting isn't allowed for the current font.

    for info, I had flushed any font cache to be sure the font files are the good ones and deleted them from my disk before reopening my pdf to be sure they're embedded.

  3. Searching brushes and other tools by their name in their tab would be great

    I am saving all my brushes and patterns into my Print.ai file (am I supposed to do that?) and now it grew up to 100 MB.
    With that many brushes, many of them also similar, a search brush by name feature perhaps would be helpful.

  4. SVG Import Notification and/or debug log

    Short back story: My company is an online supplier of custom printed products. Customers design their order on our website which we translate into an SVG file. Our production team imports that SVG file into AI for final processing of the customers order.

    When importing SVG files to AI sometimes entire parts of the design are not imported without any notification or log of the event.

    For example, when our production team imports SVGs where the text contains an emoji we sometimes (maybe always?) find that the entire text block is no longer included in the design. This is not…

  5. Export X, Y, W, H and angle to a text file or Excel format?

    Please add a feature to allow AI to export X,Y,W,H and angle to a text or Excel file.
    I have a need to get the coordinates and sizes of buttons (in pixels) for my Touch screen. After you design the image for LCD. You will need to know XYWH and angle for touch purpose. It will be good to have AI to send those information out to a file (not image).

  6. Batch rename of artboards and layers

    its so hard today to work with renaming many artboards. At the export (file > Export....) its the same problem, even if we decided to "Asset Export", we don't have the control of that. This featured is used so many time in Figma, por example, even we can perform a RegEx renaming.

  7. Please add Illustrator option to maintain text color

    Could you please add an option for us to keep the color we chose for the text in an illustrator file we're currently working on?

    Meaning: Say I am writing text in a file, but I want separate text boxes and I want to keep the same color, rather than Illustrator defaulting back to black or whatever color was set as default in the preferences.

    I'd like to be able to check a box to keep the color I am using for the text rather than having to go back to the color and subsequently the default sizes set in…

  8. Illustrator on Web now has Quick Pen tool. Desktop Ai needs one too

    Illustrator on Web got this Quick Pen tool (https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-on-the-web-beta-discussions/introducing-the-new-quick-pen-tool-beta-in-illustrator-on-the-web-beta/td-p/14146260) in October of 2023, very similar to the recently abandoned Spiro Tool plugin, to Tangent Arc tool by Graffix, and to some of Astute Graphics’ plugins.

    This is not a replacement to any one of them, and to the Illustrator’s native Curvature, but it’s an interesting tool to have at desktop as well.

  9. Create new Library from document like Photoshop

    I have a file that has 124 individually named artboards (each containing 1 icon), and was looking for a faster way to add these icons (with their appropriate names) to a library, rather than having to drag each one from their artboard to the library panel, and then have to rename each one (again). Photoshop offers this capability

  10. Need to select all artboards and resize them at once by entering desired size.

    Need to select and change all artboard size at once. Can we have this feature in Illustrator? Because after design we need to prepare artworks from same file so we need to increase artboard sizes to add crop marks and other details of instructions for printer, It will be easier if we can change this in artboard window or from document setup.

  11. Right align Export destination folder path text on Export for Screens window

    My suggestion is to have the 'folder path' text be right aligned in the text box, to have the export destination be more accessible, instead of the root folders.

    Currently, I have to click into the folder path text box, then click + drag to see where my file will export to. This is cumbersome and unnecessary.

  12. Ask user before updating links (AI 26.0.1)

    When opening a file containing linked images that have been revised AI will automatically update images without any alert.

    This is pretty dangerous for anyone working with a team or refer/update old projects.

    Would love to have it ask me first or at least tell me which links were updated. Something to create awareness that things have changed since it was last opened.

  13. Option to show only the actual missing fonts in missing fonts list

    Please provide an option to show only the missing fonts in the top half of the missing fonts dialog box. If only the missing fonts were visible we wouldn't have to constantly scroll up and down the missing fonts list to find the yellow triangle.
    Option only, because it is useful to see all the fonts that are used in a file...

    I am giving up-You have so much data on my mac-on my iPad pro-files that I have no clue who put them on Lenovo, from yous! Its been about 15 years ,Ive tried-I am 60! I cant Take it-you have no help for people like me=I have learning Disability,I look at your software =I see almost nothing possible to do?
    I can use sketch book-procreate, but Adobe its just foregin ,you offer no means for me to understand and its very sad- I need to make clean crisp lines- I need control+ in Procreate it all looks good then…

  16. Prevent Conversion of Outlined Text to Editable Text

    The Retype convert to live type feature makes it too easy for clients, vendors, and 3rd parties to convert uneditable work into editable work. It's a nice tool for your own work, but it is potentially bad for business.

    Please add permissions features that allow us to control whether or not our files (PDF/AI) can be manipulated in this way by others or reconsider rolling out the Retype conversion feature.

    Please DO NOT roll out the Retype convert outline to live type feature unless this protection is added to illustrator.

  17. Fix Lines in Pattern designs when saved via Export for Screens.

    When I export designs (via Export for screens) with patterns that have either been expanded or not I find that I get verticle and horizontal lines in my pattern. This is not present in the app, only on the resulting PDF/JPG/PNG exported file. I found this doesn't not happen when using the legacy Save for Web option. This is not an AA issue. Both are set to art optimized and the results are very different.

  19. Insert a new artboard in a specific order position

    I usually work with a lot of artboards around 100 per file.
    I would like the possibility to enter the number of the position of the artboard!

    The problem consist when I have a lot or artboards and I create a new one it is the last in artboard panel. Then I need to drag it up to the preferred order position. If it needs to be in the third place I need a lot of scrolling up!

  20. Non esiste la possibilità di ri-utilizzare un file .ai in adobe Draw. Questo è un problema!

    Nel caso capiti di perdere o sovrascrivere un file creativo online (nel Cloud) dell'App Adobe Draw e si avesse solo l'esportazione del progetto in Illustrator (.ai), non esiste la possibilità di poter ritornare a lavorarci in Adobe Draw! Non esiste un file di scambio al contrario cioè da Illustrator a Draw! Questo può rappresentare un problema serio!
