crashing
Crashes when opening preferences. Slow overall (and non-responsive) performance on a brand new Mac. 2020 Illustrator is beta garbage and does not run dependably. InDesign is just as bad.

Only one backstep at a time possible
ai lets me backstep only once or twice bevore stalling. After ca. 2 minutes another backstep is possible. Sometimes several backsteps are possible but it will stall from time to time. If I wait, it will recover, but it's impossible to work in this way.
Is there a solution to this?

Watercolor Brush
3 Second+ Lag when using Basic Watercolor brush.
This is making some projects nearly unusable on the newest version. I don't know if the performance problems are similar for other brush types. But it brings Illustrator to a crawl on my workstation which should be overkill for running Illustrator.

actions slow and crashing
All actions that ran smoothly on Illustrator CC 2019 are slow and most of the time crash the new update (CC 2020). Actions are meant to speed up workflow, not slow it down.

Major issue with Blob Brush lagging (if using either mouse OR tablet). When using Blob brush on earlier versions, no lag at all.

SmartGuides do not always snap.
This can happen even if I am at the 200% limit. Which taking the limit off would be great also.

Move bug
There appears to be another bug crept into the latest version of Illustrator when selecting an object and using the Object > Transform > Move dialogue.
When you change values it commits those values rather than previews them, even if you cancel the operation. Ie. if you type 100mm into the x-coordinate box then change it to 150mm it will move your object 100mm then a further 150mm (250mm in total) rather than honouring the last value and only moving it 150mm.
Illustrator is becoming all but unusable of late.

Illustrator 23.1 (64bit) hangs - hourly
Didn't have a problem with previous versions.
Updated to v23.1 (64bit) Windows 10 Home 1903 and regularly hangs.
Sometimes hangs while working. Usually hangs when opening a new file, particularly when already have a file open. The files I'm using are less than 1mb so shouldn't cause issue.1 vote -

When creating a new document the widow goes full screen, when I try to resize using the bottom right corner to resize window, it automatically grows larger than the screen size and can't grab the corner....then when I do get the corner back on the screen trying to resize just doesn't work well, its very slow and largish and half the time it won't resize it jumps back to full or only partially resizes....never did this before and its a pain i spend 10 min trying to get the window like I want it to be nearly every time I…

Constant crashing, lagging, power drain,
Illustrator is constantly slow, lagging, crashing, unresponsive, and small files are acting like large files. I have been using Illustrator for 8 years, but now, it is affect my ability to do my job. I am so incredibly disappointed with the performance issues, slow response time, and I dread having to use this program now. The CS6 version was WAY better than this.
Please adobe, for all of your customers, fix what's broken before adding new features, and 16GB of ram is no where near enough to run this program anymore. 32... maybe.

AI 23.03 - Absolute Performance Hog
AI has a clear performance problem on my MacBook Pro (Mid 2015, 15", top of the line model). My computer bogs down entirely, fans kick up, the software is extremely slow to respond to doing anything, even simple tasks. It's not isolated to my file--it is the software. Upon quitting, my system returns to normal. The CPU processes for AI were in excess of 120% and consuming nearly 40% of my entire CPU processor power (2.8 GHz i7, 16GB Ram).
No trouble with previous version of AI.

CMD+D Universal
I like the CMD+D on illustrator but want that on indesign for duplicating things easier and I also like the CMD+D on indesign and I want that on illustrator to relink photos easier. So maybe keep the CMD+D the same in both and create a new left hand command for the other?

CC LIBRARY
My CC Library opens, shows me everything but when I click on let's say a color to swap it does nothing. None of the libraries work. It's like the I'm clicking in a ghost swatch or something. I even reinstalled illustrator to see if it would help. Nothing. Bug or fixable?

After I worked for a few minutes in Illustrator CC, the bar with File, Edit, Object etc isn't responding and the only way to close Illustrator is by a Force Quit.
I already deinstalled and reinstalled it 2-3 times, but it doesn't help.MacBook Air 2018
