Actions based on Scripts not saving after restart?
I located another thread from December where the consensus seems to be that this is a long standing and known bug with Illustrator.
Permanently saving scripts in Action Set doesn't work / Scripts werden nicht dauerhaft in den Aktionseinstellungen gespeichert.
I have spent a good deal of time working with people here on the Adobe forums to develop a script to automate a very large function of my job, and now that it is completed it should be ready to pass on to members of my team so they can utilize it as well. The problem is that even though the scripts are loaded into the proper scripts folder and the Action works for running a batch off that script flawlessly, it disappears every time Illustrator restarts.
Is this really a permanent bug with Illustrator? Is Adobe really just ignoring this problem?
For those unaware, here is a screenshot to help demonstrate:

I have created my own folder for custom actions. In that folder I have created an action titled "CAD Batching Script [Network]". I then followed standard procedure, recorded the action, told it to "Insert a Menu Item" and then selected the appropriate script from the Scripts menu under File. Hit stop on the recording, done.
I'm then able to run the action off of the Batch function and everything works flawlessly.
Then, the next time I re-open Illustrator after closing the program, the recorded parts of the action (highlighted in the red box in the screenshot) have totally disappeared. I tested this both in my custom folder and by placing the action in the Default Actions folder. Nothing seems to keep it from disappearing.
Is there something I'm missing, or am I just forever out of luck and going to have to recreate the Action every time I open Illustrator and need to work off of that script for batch processing?
Thanks in advance,
We are pleased to inform you that your request is available in the latest release of Illustrator version 22.0.

I fix this annoying issue.
1. Create a new set
2.Record yours actions
3. Save actions in a local folder
4. Delete set in illustrator
5. Load Actions who you save before
6. Restart Illustrator
Sorry for my bad english.
I am using 23.0.1 and I am still having this problem.
I have been using actions for over a decade to automate changing stroke weight. If I record an action to set stroke weight to 0.8, the action will work for as long as Illustrator is open. But when I quit and restart illustrator, the weight in the action will be set to 1.0.

I'm having a similar problem with the latest version of Illustrator (23.0.1) where actions are removing vital information on restart such as playing an action, inserting a menu command, transform commands, etc. don't work. In my case this isn't a script, it's recorded actions doing this.
For example, I recorded an action that plays another action in a sequence of other actions to copy/paste an object 10-up. The action works great, but when I close Illustrator and reload, the "Play action" steps of the action no longer have the triangle to the left that expands the details and I get a pop up saying those steps are unavailable. If I were to load the action, it will work again. Furthermore, this seems to only happen with newly created actions. I have a lot of older actions that have just been grandfathered down with CC updates and those work fine.

I have version 23.0.1 and this is still an issue.
I create actions, they work fine, the next day, they do not work at all.
Admin, Ashutosh Chaturvedi, when I go to the link posted above, it just take me to an FAQ page, no fix link to download.
Ich verwende Version 23.0.1 und das Problem besteht noch immer!
